Completely overpriced compared to what you are supposed to be getting. The first night we didn´t even have a remote control for the TV and a phone to comunicate that to the staff. I´ve had better service and better quality hotel on a regular bed and breakfast in rome.

1. In a five-star hotel and room rate above 200 euro/night I would expect a better hospitality by the front desk staff. At check-in, they were not welcoming at all. It was only a job that they have to complete. 2. The bed was not comfortable. 3. It was very noisy during night time and early morning. We suffered sleep deprivation throughout our stay. The noise was coming mainly from the hotel - I think they do the laundry somewhere else and the truck comes around 3 am to collect the hotel laundry and the process will take more than an hour. This then will be followed with another truck to remove all the garbage. 4. The sink in our room was blocked I have reported it four times. the first time and the last time no one came to look at it. They came twice in between and they told me that the issue was resolved but it was not. 5. They dont provide ironing table, the ironing service is very expensive.

Front desk sold us tickets for tourist bus. We had to buy a different service because bus never came. Person at front desk said it was not his problem because it was the other staff member's commission. Hotel reservation Commission was $168

Staff was poor. Receptionists were rude. Breakfast was poor. Staff didn't speak proper English and whatever we would order from room service they would bring the wrong foods
The view from the balcony and the location of the hotel

The room was old, dusty and very small. The bathroom the same and didn't even have the shower. The room window was on the internal court but if we would have opened the curtains the other guest could have easily whatch in our bedroom. The cleaning staff was very noisy, they used to chat loundly in the corridors outside the room even early in the morning. Wifi was available only in the common area because it didn't have a strong enough signal. The bed was small and hard with terrible iron bars against the pillow so that if you move too much you risk to hurt yourself. The breakfast buffet was small and the cakes and sweets in general where very low quality like if they where giving us mulino bianco products. It is absurd that in a hotel that pretends to be 5star lux there is just 1 concierge and that this one works just half day. I called during the week before to ask the hotel to arrange two tickets for the colosseum and the answers was:"i am a receptionist I can't help you, call tomorrow from 12 to 17 when there is the concierge" i was very annoyed by that. In general all the hotel is very old and the service and facilities are no more than 4stars. Not a bad hotel but when I booked a 5star lux i had other expectations. I will not come back.
the position: very central. The concierge have been great but he just works after 12pm so it was impossible to ask him tips in the morning before leaving the hotel to go site seeing. We would have used his service much more if only he would have been available. Lo staff was generally very nice and courteous but the receptionists where completely useless.

Very average breakfast in terms of not good choice of fruit, nuts, seeds and cereals. Very average coffee.
Location, hotel decor were unbeatable. Great sense of history in the hotel. Art deco heaven.

looks like its glory days are long past, slow service, breakfasts basic, shower was old and not functioning to full capacity, took 10 minutes to print a boarding ticket at reception because of slow mail system
excellent location, nice atmosphere around the hotel, near shops and attractions, reasonable size of room, lots of marble and old glamor, imposing staircases, some rooms with very nice balconnies overlooking pedestrian streets

Great location, huge room and very helpful front desk
April 17, 2015
Had to change rooms as we were looking onto the Main Street Via del Corso and there was a busker band playing outside all day so too noisy for us so the hotel put us in a quieter room on the other side of the hotel ,so much better.
Wonderful historic city so lots to see most places within walking distance .Many restaurants so spoilt for choice. Will certainly come back soon.

Personnel was not friendly at the reception - they blamed me for wrong data on the invoice which they had read themselves from my business card and ID. Also, I felt I was an unneeded balance for the whole front desk. Staff at the restaurant was much better!
Localization is the best! You cannot be more central in Rome.

The elegance of the building and professionalism of the staff.

The hotel had a terrible odor. The web page shows a bar and a dining terrace on the upper level with great view. Both were closed during our stay. Very misleading..
Great location. The lobby and main areas look amazing.
April 7, 2015
The hotela furniture, the walls are like paper you can listen to your next room when they talk. We were every morning at 7.00 up since you can hear all the noice and sounds
Just the location and the reception staff was good

Rooms on 6th floor
Location is perfect! Set expectations right that this is old hotel, with perfect architecture, but rooms need some investment, and you will enjoy it
April 4, 2015
WIFI did not work properly - poor connectivity at top floor. Breakfast was very poor and just not good enough for a hotel of 5 stars. Would have been poor even for 3 star hotel.
Location. Room at top floor. Nice terrace. Friendly and helpful staff.

The atmosphere of the communal areas!
March 29, 2015
Free wifi, great if it worked. Concierge non existent, staff unfriendly, pillows rock hard, seemed to be almost an inconvenience to have guests stay.
Location, grand entrance and public areas.

On our arrival the receptionist adopted a rather superior attitude, insisting that we had not booked breakfast, although my booking confirmed that we had. We rang Room Service three times on Saturday afternoon and got no response. The pillows were terribly hard. Service in the bar was rather slow, but the bar manager remembered the drinks we wanted after our first visit.
Mostly excellent service from the reception staff, at least after the first day. Very clean room, comfortable bed, clean linen and new toiletries daily. The hotel is in a great location with lots of restaurants and small shops within easy walking distance. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and has ceilings to rival the Sistene Chapel!
