Hotel Santa Caterina is housed in an 18th-century villa just a few steps from Porta Romana. Enjoy breakfast out on the terrace with a view of the Tuscan hills.

Charming host Rustic and restful and sufficiently removed but Siena was easily accessible; Lovely breakfast Lovely pool
The view of Siena was fantastic, the facilities were clean and the staff was VERY helpful. Parking was NO problem, and the infinity pool was gorgeous.
The WIFI was almost unusable. Signal strength was never strong, and often non-existent. We've stayed a lot of places this trip, and never had such bad WIFI.
View of Siena unbelievable. Staff outstanding, Breakfast fantastic.
Wifi was not good.
We arrived to the villa and were expecting a room in the main inn, however for whatever reason the hotel was full so the owner offered the villa to us. So for the one night stay we had a whole villa for ourselves with outstanding views of Sienna! Breakfast was lovely too!
Cosy place, nice pool, excellent breakfast. Classic italian family mansion, near town.
Need a car ; narrow road to access - drive with care.
- Great Location -Peaceful -Room Size
-The owners dog is of type dominant. One day I left my mobile recharge at the set, clse to the air conditioner and floor. I took it at the night it was smelting pee. I left my door open at the night and the dog came to the room smelting the trash can and pee againg in the air conditioner. Therefore, the owner or employee must left the door open while cleaning it. The dog must get in. - the room as adjacente to a kitchen. Therefore, other guests uses the kitechen at night making noise. - one of the windows blackout was missing. Therefore, with lights turned on was possible to see us from the place entrance and the room was too clear at the morning.
Very nice pool, quite environment. Quaint setting
breakfast could be bit more elaborate
The location just outside Siena is perfect, easy to get into town at night, pool is stunning with views of the Siena skyline. The owners are so helpful. The interiors are beautiful. We will definitely return.
My husband and I spent 2 nights here prior to our wedding in Siena. We have stopped here before and really enjoyed it. We aren’t people to visit the same place twice, nevermind stay in the same hotel, but we could come back to Podere La Strega in a heartbeat. It’s close to Siena centre (not walking distance) with INCREDIBLE views. The hotel seems to have been designed around the views. Letizia, the owner, is fantastic. The breakfast she puts on seems no trouble at all and is just delicious. We were lucky to eat outside under the rustic shelter. The infinity pool is one of the nicest pools I’ve ever been in. The rooms are fantastic and it has such a homely feel. Absolutely love this place – we will be back!
The view, the swimming pool and the location. The breakfast menu.
The practically non-existent Wifi. The late breakfast time (8:45) when you are traveling with a child that wakes up at 6:30.
Great staff, great breakfast and assist as needed. quiet location with beautiful vistas from room. Country setting was very nice.
Amazing view of Siena! The property is in a beautiful position in rolling Tuscan countryside and is decorated in the finest rustic taste. Plentiful breakfast, spotless rooms, pleasant staff. There is a fabulous restaurant La Piccarda just a short drive away and easy parking when you drive down into Siena. It has been a joy to stay and a pity to leave.
This place was gorgeous. Stunning infinity edge pool overlooking Sienna. Cozy beautifully appointed rooms. We loved the delicious breakfast daily on the outdoor terrace. And enjoyed drinks outside at night as well as swimming. Very nice staff who helped us take a cooking class nearby.
The location is outstanding. A delight. The atmosphere is extremely relaxing and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Will definitely book again.
Everything. Also Sienna is a short car journey away - very convenient. The policy of trust is refreshing and the facility if being able to cook your own evening meal is great.
The very professional service and the lovely decorating of the place, and of course, the wondeful surroundings with a five star view of Sienna. The best option if you have a car (10 minutes drive). Loved the fact that we could use the kitchen and dining room. The swimming pool is definitely a plus.
The view, the breakfast outside, the owners and the pool.
the wifi was terrible but everything else was perfect!
Great view, beautiful place to stay away from the city. We stayed here one night on our way to Rome, but we wished we stayed longer!
Limited public transit to Siena. Need to take cab.
We loved the chic, rustic style rooms and the lovely little touches, like the biscuits in the communal kitchen. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The views from the upgraded rooms where breathtaking and the surrounding gardens well kept. Siena was easy to reach and there are some nice restaurants nearby. Most only accessible by car.
The aircon in our rooms was not working and made for a couple of uncomfortable nights sleep. The cleanliness was not fantastic, particularly of the floors. The pool was very cold, too cold to really enjoy it but we made the most of it regardless. I think a bit more choice could be offered at breakfast.
What a fantastic place. Great views of Siena, lovely rooms and pool and great breakfast. A very relaxing stay
Excellent location, magnificent view.
It certainly has the feel of a nice place but the potential of being a great place. I like the style but wished it was cleaner and staff were most welcoming.
Its is a vintage style farmhouse which I would normally love however the bed and bed sheets were damp. It was dull with no atmosphere, almost depressing. The owner was a lovely kind, Friendly lady, but said very little. The other lady working at reception give us very little information, barely spoke to us and seemed dis interested. She was not at all helpful. It needs some friendly young staff or a good host and a little bit of quiet music, something to lift the atmosphere there. There were cobwebs everywhere, it wasn't very clean. Shower curtain had blue mould. It didn't feel clean. I was disappointed.
We had great time in the house, the host are very nice and facilities are amazing. It's a very authentic Tuscan house located in beautiful countryside.
It is difficult to connect wife in the room, but ok in the reception.
Absolutely wonderful! We stayed at this lovely B&B whilst on honeymoon in Italy this year. The property is in a wonderful secluded location with a stunning view of Siena. We stayed for two nights but I wanted to stay longer! All of the rooms at La Strega are individually furnished and are very comfortable. There were lovely touches such as a vase of roses picked from the garden. Outside, swimming in the infinity pool looking directly at Siena was to die for....the garden was gorgeous. Breakfast was taken around a big table (either inside or outside) and it was lovely meeting and talking to the other guests. La Strega is a beautiful peaceful place to stay I highly recommend it.
We couldn't connect to the free WiFi at all which was frustrating.
