It was our haven after each long day in Florence. The breakfast is awesome and the people are very friendly and helpful. The view of country from the garden is breathtaking. It is close to Florence and the bus stop is virtually at the gate. All and all a great place to stay
Located in the midle of the olive tree garden with beautiful view you feel like in the very deep country side while you are only some 10 km from Florence center. Very nice person is running the place. Definitely will return soon
We loved everything staying in this house..charming rooms, excellent view, delicious breakfast. The hosts were really helpful in whatever we asked, we even received recipe for homemade focaccia:-) Thank you very much:-) We definitelly recommend to everyone who wants to spend peaceful time in Tuscany :-)
Staff was warm and welcoming. We really enjoyed the recommendations they gave us for the rest of the trip in Tuscany, thank you. Excellent local breakfast. Clean, spacious rooms. Superb views, day and night. And, of course, the wine :)
The room we had was right next to the breakfast room, so we were woken up at night because the staff was setting up the tables for the next day. Not a big deal anyway. We just wish we stayed more.
if you're looking for a quiet, low key location with breathtaking scenery and a lovely family staff - this is it! we used Podere Scaluccia as our 'home base' for a few days - conveniently located near Florence (less than 20 min drive) breakfast was something to look forward to and enjoy outside overlooking Tuscany's iconic scenery
not reflective of Podere Scaluccia at all, but the country roads to/from this location is something to get used to (very narrow - single lane as a 2 way street, with stone walls on either side at times, hair pin turns, speed limit of 30, but locals go 60 easily, steep hills, and minimal street lights/signs) - part of the charm, some would say :)
We loved the tranquility of the beautiful countryside and the freedom to just be able to stroll everywhere.
We used the public city transport which was not that convenient and dependable. The bus drivers not very helpful.
An excellent Tuscan retreat, with ever so helpful hosts. Stefano and Miriam have a gem of a place. The rooms are delicately rustic with modern bathrooms. The views are wonderful, Tuscany at its best. There were so many highlights, but one which remains fresh is the breakfast. All made with local produce and excellent dishes. Very sad to leave!
Everything was perfect. Literally! - Perfect Location: 20 minutes outside Florence (easy to get away and feel right in the country side!) - Clean and Comfortable: It was impeccably clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathrooms were cleaned everyday, and spotless. - Great Wifi (no trouble at all). - 11 / 10 breakfast! (Fruit salad, cereal, eggs, toast, jam, coffee, juice, etc!) - The VIEW! OH my! Right on the hilltop overlooking some gorgeous Tuscan homes.
Nothing! Honestly. This was perfect!
loved the peace and quiet and the tranquility of the place especially at night-time..will definitely return some day..
Convinience to go by bus, but hard to get dinner without any personal transport as nearest restaurant is 1.6km away.
Quiet Very nice view Large, nice room Good bed
Difficult to find a restaurant nearby. Had to wait quiet a while in Impruneta to get a table. No minibar
like the breakfast pretty much~~
We were imagining about the pick up and tastes of grapes, and the wine making process. but it's not the season at the first day of August, so it's quite different from what we have planned.
Great landscapes and atmosphere. Pure olive farm with romantic and roman spices. Large very impressive rooms and a new shower. Friendly owner/staff.
Stefano & his family offers great hospitality at first place. House is arranged with lot of style. Food is of great quality. Position is great for exploring Florence, as well as rest of Tuscany. Very clean, towels changed daily.
Everything! The views were amazing and it was so peaceful at the farm. Every night we enjoyed a bottle of wine outside to take in the surrounding beauty and the peace from the city. I wouldn't change anything from this place. The owner is friendly and printed us a bus schedule and explained it to us. I wish we could have stayed there longer than just three days.
Great location, pleasant staff, fast and reliable Wi-Fi, clean, ample parking, quite and cosy.
The location is great, the place is on the top of a hill and you have an amazing view over the vineyards in front of you. The villa is authentic, the staff was extremely nice and the breakfast was truly delicious. I only wish I could stay longer.
Everything was great.
The view was excellent.
A bit far to get to shops and supermarket.
Nice, clean, quiet place. I definitely recommend it. Excellent breakfast.
Rooms were very spacious. Air conditioning was a plus but was not used much. Staff was helpful in meeting needs such as supplying adapter for phone charger. Beautiful view. Breakfast was great!
The staff is arrogant and cynical. If you have trouble, do not count on your help. I do not recommend to anyone! Senkinek nem ajánlom, nagyon bunkó a személyzet!
Such a beautiful location would recommend to any one and the bus goes past the door so that you do not need to battle with the traffic of Florence. Owners give excellent directions, this was the easiest to find of all out Italien destinations. Very relaxing place with very friendly people.
-What a wonderful stay! I wish we could come back again! I came with my 60years old parents and we all loved the place. We had two lovely rooms, (n°1 and 3). The room n°3 is really huge and has a living room inside that make you feel in your own appartement. The other room was smaller but very big too and they both had wonderful views. -The house is so quiet and enjoy beautiful views of Tuscany hills. It is a good point on your way up/down the Chianti road (not directly on the sr222 but easy to reach). It is also very close to Firenze so I think someone can go on Firenze during the day and come back at the hotel in the evening. - the rooms are VERY clean and very comfortable. They smell fresh household soap and the bathroom is lovely and clean as well. - the man who holds the house is very nice and gave us very good recommandations about restaurants nearby (I still remember the taste of the food served by the delicious restaurant in Impruneta) - I highly recommend it for the delicious breakfast. It was all we were loolking for: both salty and sweet with only local and home made products. tasty salami, fresh cream, muesli, fresh bread, home made jams and apple pie, eggs, etc...+fresh juices, good coffee and tea... I really missed it when we returned home. Everything was so delicious! - we appreciated some details such as the sockets with insect repellant, the air dryer, the double glazing (even though it is very quiet outside), our hosts' discretion...
- The rooms are on the first floor with no elevator and you have to climb steep stairs with your luggage to go to your room. However, the man was very helpful and carried our heavy luggage upstairs. - the surroundings are very quiet but the noise can come from inside. Despite the owners' discretion, the house is old and the lack of phonic isolation can be a problem if your neighbours are talkative and noisy people. My parents found their room very quiet but I could hear them talking from mine.(not clearly but like a quite strong background noise) Fortunately, the other guests were very respectful during our stay (one night) so we had no problem at night and slept like babies. - the breakfast room has been settled in front of room n°1 (mine). As a result, I could not sleep after 7.30 a.m when people came to eat as I could hear absolutely everything as if people were inside the room.(I didn't hear the man preparing the breakfast though because he was very quiet and careful.) Room n°3 is located on the other side of the building with the other rooms so my parents had no problems. Despite those inconveniences, we wish to come back for sure and would stay longer next time to enjoy the swimming pool and the lovely garden (and eat again the tasty braakfast).
The location is ideal for visiting Florence and the surrounding countryside. A very helpful owner. Large room with distant view of Florence in the plain below.
