Offering spacious air conditioned apartments, Porta al Prato is in a residential area of Florence with great bus services around the city. Guests have a laundry room and free internet access.

This charming, 16th-century villa is in the Florentine hills overlooking the Chianti Valley. The property now features an impressive range of accommodations with cooking facilities and much more.
Score from 118 reviews Wonderful
Il Poggiolo delle Rose enjoys a countryside location, but is only a 10 minute drive from historic Florence. It has easy access to highways and bus services. Rooms are comfortable, bright and modern.

Featuring panoramic views of the middle of Florence, 5 miles away, Hotel Villa le Rondini is set on a hilltop on 54 acres of grounds. It offers a pool and a Tuscan restaurant.
Score from 48 reviews Good
Breakfast was outstanding. Character of inn charming. Place was very quiet--we were only guests in mid-November off season. Place almost eerily peaceful.
Transportation lacking without a car. Walk and bus required to go into Florence. Taxi driver didn't seem to know how to find the inn.
Looks like a 19-th century villa. Very nice and friendly and cooperative owners. Comfortable bed, climate control, comfortable douche, good working wifi. High breakfast quality. For example, flakes are made not of corn but are made of wheat. Seems that owners read earlier comments and added eggs to breakfast (but only once in four days)
Not all the staff speaks english. Wifi connection failed twice but not for a long time.
The decoration of the hotel is fantastic. The owner is very helpful, booked taxi and recommended very good resturant. Also very tasty breakfast. Although the waitress couldn't understand English, she is very nice.
Handsome old house in splendid grounds. Lovely to have breakfast outside. Very comfortable and grand bed. Helpful owners.
Considering the ear, inevitably somewhat quirky, though beautiful room.
The old castle atmosphere, the way they anticipated our needs (well organised), the great garden and the conversation with the owner's daughter :)
Fantastic service, spotlessly clean, great bathroom and very comfortable bed. Location, though a little remote, was ideal for us.
Nothing really - everything was as we had hoped and we were just sorry to leave..
Gorgeous, renaissance home in beautiful, peaceful garden, located in semi rural outskirts of Florence. 40 minute walk to Boboli Gardens and easy bus/taxi ride from centro. Very welcoming and charming hosts, went out of their way to help us. Lovely continental breakfast and our room was heavenly!
Nothing. Will definitely return
incredibly friendly and helpful stuff very pretty location cool house
make sure you have a good map to get there highly recommend gps or even better international data plan with google maps (life saver)
Very kind hosts! Helped us finding our way around Florence, gave us tons of tips where to go including maps and restaurant and parking tips. Big thumbs up. Also staying at such a historic place (Villa from 15th century) is a super cool experience :-) Beatiful gardens and very close to the city center.
Average breakfast. Although we were aware of the toilet inside the room (historical building), it still is kind of a pain. Would be probably happier if we could rather use one outside the room...
A beautiful house full of character in a tranquil setting. The family made you extremely welcome as they were very friendly and helpful. Loved this place and would definitely stay again and thoroughly recommend it.
Nothing, not to like
the atmosphere and the building was beatiful.
The WC was inside the room, and we haven´t got a bathroom separtelly from the room. It´s very difficult to arrive by car, the road is too narrow.
This manor is more than 700 years old, full of history, beautiful antique decorations in Florence style, amazing rooms. nice surrounding areas. The owner couple are ture gentleman and lady, noble and warm. we were very late around 10PM, missed our ways, the owner picked us up, prepare food for us before rest. best breakfast ever. great place in a great city.
We enjoyed our stay at Poggio Bello. Owners and stuff are extremely pleasant.
To get there follow the instructions sent to you, not the satnav.
Hello, myself and wife stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. I booked this hotel by seeing the review in the booking.com But I am sorry to say, we had very very bad experience. Actually its not a hotel. It’s a very house and its very very old, they have only 4 rooms, the owners are staying in downstairs and 4 rooms are in upstairs. The house(Hotel) is located in the country side. Whenever we need to come for city center we need to spend 40euros of taxi ( for coming and going back ). Its very hard to see the people around the place, its like we are staying somewhere in thick forest. There is only one restaurant which is located 2kms away for our house(hotel). Its so difficult to go by walk since the there is no street lights ,the roads are dark. We need to take only taxi. The hotel tariff 610Euros for for 4 nights, but we paid approx 20euros for taxi alone. Which Is very expensive. The house owner is not there at all the time, There is only one servant is there, She never speaks even one word of English. Also she is very very rude. During our breakfast if we call her, she will never come. For breakfast, for 2 People they kept 4brads, 2cakes, some cereals, and some milk and few fruits. That’s it, there is no meat, even egg. Only on the final day, they kept 2eggs since we are requested. I strongly don’t recommend this hotel(House) to anyone.
Environment, hospitality, everything I can say.
Perfect location to rest after visiting Firenze. IT is also a good place to visit Siena and other cities in Tuscany. Rooms arę very comfortable although some bathrooms are bit small which is due to the fact that this is a historical building. Owners arę extreemly pleasant and very helpful if you need any advice just ask. Going to city center is not time consuming and if yiu do not have a car you can use a bus that stops nearby.
Room much too small, could not move inside, shower too small, WC in the room. Bad breakfast
Authentic Tuscany Villa with magical garden. Easy acces to the city center. Kind staff.
Very small TV in a room. No extra space in a house to spend time during rainy days.
It was a special environment, very much different from a regular hotel: more like visiting an Italian uncle rather than renting some rooms. An aristocratic place, located in a beautiful garden only 10 minutes by taxi to the city center. Beautiful bird song in the morning and nice flowers smell … Very nice peoples creating an authentic experience for visitors looking for someting more then a hotel !
Please add some vegetables at breakfast ( tomato , cucumber ....)
Location, welcome, atmosphere
The owners could not have been kinder or more helpful. The daughter Diletta gave us so much help and advice in perfect English. The house is beautifully furnished in antiques. The breakfast was lovely with freshly made cakes and homemade yoghurt. Everthing was spotlessly clean
This is a very old house and the bathroom heating was not very effective. However only a very tiny critisism as for most of the year this would not be a problem.
