the atmosphere and the building was beatiful.

The WC was inside the room, and we haven´t got a bathroom separtelly from the room. It´s very difficult to arrive by car, the road is too narrow.

This manor is more than 700 years old, full of history, beautiful antique decorations in Florence style, amazing rooms. nice surrounding areas. The owner couple are ture gentleman and lady, noble and warm. we were very late around 10PM, missed our ways, the owner picked us up, prepare food for us before rest. best breakfast ever. great place in a great city.

We enjoyed our stay at Poggio Bello. Owners and stuff are extremely pleasant.

To get there follow the instructions sent to you, not the satnav.

    Only intetnet.

Hello, myself and wife stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. I booked this hotel by seeing the review in the But I am sorry to say, we had very very bad experience. Actually its not a hotel. It’s a very house and its very very old, they have only 4 rooms, the owners are staying in downstairs and 4 rooms are in upstairs. The house(Hotel) is located in the country side. Whenever we need to come for city center we need to spend 40euros of taxi ( for coming and going back ). Its very hard to see the people around the place, its like we are staying somewhere in thick forest. There is only one restaurant which is located 2kms away for our house(hotel). Its so difficult to go by walk since the there is no street lights ,the roads are dark. We need to take only taxi. The hotel tariff 610Euros for for 4 nights, but we paid approx 20euros for taxi alone. Which Is very expensive. The house owner is not there at all the time, There is only one servant is there, She never speaks even one word of English. Also she is very very rude. During our breakfast if we call her, she will never come. For breakfast, for 2 People they kept 4brads, 2cakes, some cereals, and some milk and few fruits. That’s it, there is no meat, even egg. Only on the final day, they kept 2eggs since we are requested. I strongly don’t recommend this hotel(House) to anyone.

Perfect location to rest after visiting Firenze. IT is also a good place to visit Siena and other cities in Tuscany. Rooms arę very comfortable although some bathrooms are bit small which is due to the fact that this is a historical building. Owners arę extreemly pleasant and very helpful if you need any advice just ask. Going to city center is not time consuming and if yiu do not have a car you can use a bus that stops nearby.

Authentic Tuscany Villa with magical garden. Easy acces to the city center. Kind staff.

Very small TV in a room. No extra space in a house to spend time during rainy days.

It was a special environment, very much different from a regular hotel: more like visiting an Italian uncle rather than renting some rooms. An aristocratic place, located in a beautiful garden only 10 minutes by taxi to the city center. Beautiful bird song in the morning and nice flowers smell … Very nice peoples creating an authentic experience for visitors looking for someting more then a hotel !

Please add some vegetables at breakfast ( tomato , cucumber ....)

The owners could not have been kinder or more helpful. The daughter Diletta gave us so much help and advice in perfect English. The house is beautifully furnished in antiques. The breakfast was lovely with freshly made cakes and homemade yoghurt. Everthing was spotlessly clean

This is a very old house and the bathroom heating was not very effective. However only a very tiny critisism as for most of the year this would not be a problem.

If you look for a quiet, clean and elegant place, this is a very good one. Guests are very kind and helpful, and the ancient building is wonderful, surrounded by a big and peaceful park.

Consider that if you are here to visit Florence you will need a car: the place is located about 10 minutes outside the southern border of the city. Close enough, anyway :-)

What a lovely place! The business is running shortly ago, but definitely we predict a huge success! Lovely service in a beautiful room, we stayed at the suite and had an amazing room emulating Versalles and breakfast in our room every day without extra cost. Amazing staff, amazing location, amazing anniversary we had! :)

That we only got to stay 3 nights :/

Owners were very friendly and helpful with recommendations.

Access to the property is difficult as you have to drive down a very narrow one lane road that is not well marked. I would suggest you contact the owners before arriving and making sure of the directions to the house.

The hotel is a real gem located on the hills above Florence. Nothing was too much trouble for Marco and he ensured through personal recommendations of restaurants and places to visit that the hotel was truly memorable

I simply cannot find anything to criticise or complain about.

Every aspect of this grand house is superb. The icing on the cake was Marco and his collection of motorcycles and cars.

    Not one thing.

Our stay at Poggio Bella was one of the most enjoyable experiences of our lives. We feel very privileged to be made to feel like honored guests at this beautiful residence, to be so warmly welcomed by the family and staff. Our stay was unfortunately only for three nights but look forward to our return for a longer visit. The location on the hillside just on the out skirts of Florence was idyllic, a tranquil setting and such a beautiful residence everything was perfect. The attention to detail was of the highest standard.
