Dating back to the 19th century, Poggio Sant'Angelo is a grand farmhouse in Farneta in the Tuscan countryside. Its extensive gardens feature a swimming pool and a wine bar. Our room at Poggio Sant'Angelo was very large and comfortable. The swimming pool was in a great setting and we swam each day after sight-seeing in beautiful nearby towns. Luca, the manager made sure we saw a lot of wonderful sights and went out of his way to help us have one of the best vacation stays ever! The staff at Poggio are all charming and helpful and then there is the food....we ate everything on the menu and some of it twice over! We will recommend it to everyone. Just 15 minutes from lovely Cortona and only an hour from Florence it is perfect for seeing Tuscany.

We appreciated very much the calm, relax an familiar atmosphere. The restaurant was just excellent, we stayed every night there. No need to go elsewhere because this retaurant is one of the best we have ever been to.

We thought the staff very friendly and the restaurant food was absolutely delicious. The location was quiet which we loved. We were also lucky enough, on our last night there, to be included in a cultural evening which had been arranged and we were looked after extremely well. We would definately recommend this hotel to anyone. There was nothing to dislike.

Our stay at Poggio Sant'Angelo was the most memorial of our 1-month European holiday. The exceptional staff went above and beyond to make our stay special! Ellen was delightful each morning with b'fast meals to please. Luca talked with us afterwards to help us plan our day's itinerary and give us hand drawn road maps to many beautiful Tuscan secrets that are not found in tour books. He also was wonderful to upgrade us to a suite since we were staying 5 nights. Luigi took care of us in the evening with great Tuscan meals and service. During our 5- night stay, Luigi escorted us to hospital when I became ill. He insisted he stay with us to communicate with doctors, nurses and pharmacist; he anticipated that none would speak English and was correct. Because of this, he missed beginning of Italian football game and a promise to his son to go swimming....said I was more important. This is not only a beautiful b & b but is managed by beautiful staff! We rate Poggio Sant'Angelo as 10 out of 10! It is a real gem! There is nothing to dislike about this lovely b&B.

El personal, atento y simpático y amable; la ubicación, entre toscana y umbría, ideal para visitar Peruggia, Arezzo, Asís, Siena...; la tranquilidad y, sobre todo, el restaurante, donde hemos cenado de lujo todas las noches. Nada. Quizá reforzaría un poco eldesayuno y la decoración de las habitaciones y cuidaría un poco más el entorno de la piscina

charmanteToscaanse villa, ruime kamer met uitstekende badkamer, mooie tuin. Gastvrije beheerder en aardig personeel.Prima locatie om zuidelijk Toscane/Umbrië te verkennen het diner ( 1 keer goed, 1 keer zeer matig )

This is a really nice small hotel. Great food and very helpful staff. Quite individualized service, as this is really small hotel. Great place for touring around Tuscany. A bit noisy as only some 300m from a local motorway. Can be a bit difficult for a family with children of 1 - 3 years old as there is quite some stairs.
