The smell of cigarette smoke in the rooms which I guess will not truly go until the rooms are totally renovated.
No kettle, coffee etc in room. But this seems to be the norm in France.
The receptionist was very helpful and showed us many of the rooms to try and find one that smelt less of cigarettes. I guess we are just very sensitive to the smell of stale smoke.
Room was spotless otherwise and large although a little dated.
Huge comfy bed.
Toiletries included razor, toothbush, t paste as well as the usuals.
Small fridge with chargeable drinks but useful for keeping water cold.
Safe inside the wardrobe for valuables.
Parking right outside each ground floor room.
Lifts to upper floors.
Restaurant on site was excellent and did their best to describe the dishes in English....our waiter had immense patience!
Hot drinks at reception.
Breakfast was plentiful - cereals, yoghurt, cakes, breads, jams, meats, cheese, fresh whole fruit, fruit juices.
