Hotel Ponte SistoVia Dei Pettinari, 64, Navona, 00186 Rome (Show map) Excellent, Score from 319 reviews“The location was excellent - we were in walking distance of all the major points of interest in the city. The hotel was charming - the rooms were very comfortable and quiet at night. The decor in the rooms and throughout the hotel was very pleasant and of a good quality.”

This former monastery overlooks a peaceful courtyard where the American-style buffet breakfast is served each morning. Hotel Ponte Sisto is in central Rome, 1000 ft from Campo de’ Fiori. Rooms here are modern and elegant, with plenty of space. All air conditioned, they include satellite TV, a minibar and free wired internet access. Each bathroom has a hairdryer and toiletries. During warm weather, breakfast can be enjoyed out in the courtyard with a fountain, palm trees and lots of tables and chairs. There is also a bar and a 24-hour front desk where staff can organize excursions around the city and provide useful tourist information. Ponte Sisto Hotel is a 5 minute walk from Piazza Navona and 1700 ft from the tram and bus stops in Largo Argentina. The characteristic Trastevere district is just across the Tiber River, while the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain are around 15 minutes away by foot. Hotel Rooms: 103

The location was excellent. If I came back to Rome I would stay here. Breakfast in the courtyard was lovely. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a courtyard facing room which avoided the road noise but we were woken well before 7 each morning by breakfast being laid out with some vigour!! As opposed to the reception staff, the breakfast staff were not friendly and grudgingly helpful. We were supposed to have a seating area in our room but didn't, though this wasn't a big problem.

The breakfast was very good and the courtyard is an attractive feature. Our room was clean and spacious (though for what we were paying, it should have been) and the housekeeping was good. The porter, Mahommed, who took us too our room was excellent and very helpful. The staff were efficient. The hotel is very overpriced and for that reason alone I will not return. I think there is better value elsewhere It is also a very bland, business-type hotel, lacking in any personality or charm (with the exception of the courtyard). Rooms are comfortable but very old fashioned and not worthy of the price tag. They need up- dating. Staff were very correct and proper - but most (not all) had no warmth or welcoming spirit - although I must mention that the Porter, Mahommed, was very helpful. On the way out I noticed that the hotel brochure stated that there is a roof terrace - but visitors are not told about this. I could not get the wi fi to work at all and the signal was weak, my husband managed to use the internet only by plugging in a cable. Also, you are repeatedly asked to enter the password during your session, which is very annoying and makes internet use difficult - perhaps this is the intention? May I suggest that a change from scrambled eggs once or twice a week would be welcome - perhaps poached eggs or omlettes.

This is possibly the loveliest Hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff were outstanding in their friendly and helpful manner. The location was perfect, walking distance to the Vatican, Spanish steps, Piazza Navona and lots of restaurants. The Hotel itself is charming especially the courtyard with palms and fountains, and the breakfast was extensive and delicious. The rooms are large by European standards and the bathroom was luxurious. I would stay there any time I am in Rome. The only worry we had was that the Hotel is in a pedestrian zone and the airport transfer dropped us off on the main road and pointed up Via Dei Pettinari. It was really close but late at night with the grafitti covered rollerdoors and dark street, two women travelling together, we were a bit scared. Perhaps the pedestrian zone could be mentioned on the website.

We have stayed 5 nights in this nice hotel and were very happy about our choice. I have chosen it basing on various people's reviews and all what was said about this hotel is true - nice and polite staff who were very very helpful, hotel is located in a quite street so no noise from streets was overheard, very close to Ponte Sisto and Trastevere part of the city across the bridge with great traditional restaurants where local people eat (smart tip!), in a walking distance to everywhere in the city - one can walk and take millions of fotos of neigbouring Tiberia isolo, Roman Forum, Pantheon and many piazzas and palazzos. In the evening, if you go down the bridge there are lines and lines of cafes and markets and entertainment set-ups along the river to amuse yourself. The hotel has a cute picturous internal yard with delicious breakfast served in the morning, rooms are small but very convinient and clean with marble bathroom. Highly recommended to friends and families! The only comment we wished could be improved - internet connection could have been made via WiFi in the rooms.

Their location is perfect, their staff is friendly and helpful, my room was comfortable and clean. Well, I would be somewhat happier, if they had wifi not only in the lobby, but in the rooms too.

The hotel is in a great location, in the art of Rome nightlife, close to bar, restaurants and shops. The internal courtyard is amazing, you breath the Roman lifestyle. The place is quiet and peaceful despite the high numbers of guests. The quality standars are preatty high Peraphs the room was quite small and narrow but it was silent. If your rate doesn't include breakfast, you pay15euro each, too much for Rome cost of the life and the quality offered

Location was excellent. We were very close (walking distance) to the main tourist sites and had many restaurant options closeby. It was one of the few hotels in Rome that would put my 2 year old in a cot (not in an extra bed). Reception staff mainly very friendly. Our reservation had been lost and we were put in a suite. The room was large and comfortable, nice deco. One lady at the reception was very unpolite at a given moment. The rooms should have Wifi. Many devices don't have internet acess any oyher way and it's not comfortable to have to go to the lobby. The breakfast could have natural fruit juices.

The hotel staff was great, very friendly and helpful. All of our requests were taken care of quickly. Breakfast was very good. Also, the hotel has a great location, it's walking distance (maximum 10 or 15 minutes) from all Rome's main attractions, such as the Coliseum, the Vatican, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, etc. Also, the hotel is very close to the Trastevere neighborhood, which has great restaurants and bars (very nice area where young people hang out). Everything was great, no complaints. My only suggestion is that breakfast hours are extented to up to 10:30am, not 10am. In any case, breaskfast staff is great and they won't kick you out if you arrive a little bit past 10am.

It was very nice and close to the center. A lady at the breakfast service in the morning was a bit hysteric, she made people sit where they didn´t want to. A small thing that can make people not tho choose this hotel again, when you have a holiday and pays for it you don´t whant somebody to tell you where to sit or stand if you don´t brake the law.

Liked the location and the staff. The terrace attached to our room was fantastic. really enjoyed the holiday. The hotel and its courtyards are really beautiful. Its central location was a positive but also a slight negative at night since it was pretty noisy outside on Friday night.

Just perfect! New, clean room with everything - safe, nice bathroom, cable internet in the room, wifi in lobby. Great breakfast, simple but delicious, friendly and helping stuff. Location is great for walking around touristic places, 5 days stay and we took a bus only twice going to Borghese gallery and Vatican. Awesome place, next time - there with no doubts!

Location, staff - waiters at breakfast and room maids are very polite. Some staff at reception are also very kind and efficient There is no room service and the bar is closed from 1pm to 4pm - and the toast sandwich I had was burnt. Sone staff at reception ( in particular the two italian ladies with short hair) are not very polite or professional.
