Centrally located - lively neighborhood. Extremely helpful staff (LJ). Nice room and bathroom. State of the art lounge area with comfy armchairs where breakfast is served. Dog friendly establishment.
Ethnic room design elements.
The location in Florence's city center couldn't be more ideal. It was like returning to one's private home. Curitious and efficient staff with attention to details. The Houseman even arrived early to help me with my bags for a 4:30AM taxi to the airport.
Didnt expect to see such a beautiful decoration in a good location and a helpful staff, enjoyed every single corner. and above all the helpful friendly staff. Would highly recommend the place to my friends.
very convenient location - very helpful and nice personel - charming with included afternoon cocktail and wine in the fridge.
not so easy to find since the marking of entrance was almost missing and the door was closed when we arrived
The hotel is perfect to visit any place in the center so nice to walk 360 • close to restaurants. Museums and perfect way to feel really athosfere of art city absolutely unforgettable !!
Well I suggest to put on the bathroom the complete vanity kit !!! Just suggest!!!
noise of the leather market in front of the hotel
First of all, design is amazing. Our room can't be better. We loved the hotel! Staff was friendly and cheerful. At loby, they serve any drinks and some pastries( free of charge).
Internet connection was low at some points in room.
Excellent attentive, accommodating & friendly staff. Central location could not be better. Can highly recommend.
Central location means it can be noisy on a night, but no more than any other city.
We stayed four nights at the Porcellino in September. The hotel is very stylish, decorated with beautiful artwork and trinkets. The owners have paid so much attention to detail. Everything thing is unique, from the door knobs to the light fixtures. Our room was Asian inspired with beautiful painted ceiling. It was small but cozy. We were a little worried about the sleeping issues from past reviews. Fortunately, the bed was comfortable with nice sheets and ample pillows and a soft throw blanket. The air conditioner got the room nice and cold. Shutters and curtains got the room very dark. We got plenty of sleep at the hotel! The market packs up their carts in the late evening and return in the morning. We slept so good we did not hear them return in morning! The hotel is kind enough to have cold bottle water, cokes and cookies and fruit always out for you. Breakfast was nice and included small sandwiches, cereal, yogurt, fruit salad and pastries and of course cappuccino. The staff was very helpful with making reservations for dinner and answering any questions we had about Florence. The hotel entrance opens to the market which makes shopping fun and easy! Stay here! You won't be disappointed and you will sleep!
Have breakfast early if you want sandwiches and fruit. Seems they don't replenish the breakfast so go early!
Excellent location! One staff member in particular was incredibly helpful. He made breakfast, served wine, and was available to answer questions.
Our room was quite small without even a chair. The lighting, while artistic and beautiful, did not allow for much reading. The reception staff was not as helpful as we might have expected. They were friendly, but nor particularly helpful.
Could not ask for a better location. 5 minutes walk from most of the major attractions and dozens of great restaurants. Nice clean rooms and a great staff. Evening free aperitivo with wine and snacks was a great way to meet other guests and share tips on how to get the most out of Florence.
Some street noise each morning as the stalls in the market outside get set up. Think of it as an opportunity to get up early and beat the lines at the Uffizi or the Duomo.
Boutique hotel within short walking distance of most Florence attractions. Lots of extras provided free of charge, such as a minibar in the common area, breakfast, wi-fi. We particularly enjoyed apperitivo every night - it was a great opportunity to meet the other guests and share experiences or pick up some tips on exploring the area.
The market in front of the hotel can be noisy, but only while the stalls are being set up or dismantled.
My fiance and I planned our wedding at the Palazzo Vecchio so wanted to choose a place that was nearby. Porcellino was a great choice for us as it was comfortable, in a great location and the staff was friendly. The breakfast included foods from a pasticceria, fresh fruit, cereal and caffe.
This hotel is in the perfect position for everything you want to see. The staff Mariella lj and Mike were lovely and very helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Loved the access to coffee and drinks from the fridge was a nice touch.
European breakfast of cakes and croissants is not to our liking but that is personal.
The staff are great.. The position was really good
It was a bit noisy at nite
The place was clean, gorgeous and cozy. Cheapest hotel we stayed in all of Italy.
No hot water for shower. My ahi and showered at 2am and didn't have a problem, but at 3pm I couldn't get hot water.
Decor is fantastic, Location, Staff is friendly.
Its a bit too noisy at night (near the market) I am a light sleeper...
This is for sure one of the best places i stayed in a long time. The all place is amazing! Being surrounding by art and style is def something special. Very warm welcome by staff, kind ,attentive and price perfect for the location. I cant complain about the noise at all.We had a very special time at the porcellino gallery and cant wait to go back there very soon! Thank you.
room was excellent
beakfast v poor. no staff around.a quirky place that was v poor vale for what was paid
Charming small boutique hotel in the heart of Florence. Very intimate, and designed with a distinctive, individual touch reflected in the eclectic decor. Wonderful young man attending the complimentary breakfast as well as the pre-dinner aperitifs.
What's not to like? Great location and privacy. Speaking of privacy... it took me two turns around the block and a local waiter at the downstairs restaurant "Il Porcellino" to help me locate and escort me to the front door!
The staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for you, especially Mariella on the front desk. The comfortable easy going atmosphere and inclusive drinks and lounge area were also very nice. The rooms were nicely decorated. The location is internally no ore than a 15min walk from most main sites and squares.
If you are a light sleeper you will struggle with the noise levels. The market just outside has late finishes and early starts and due to the location being so central, there is a lot of noise well into the early hours.
This is a stunning boutique hotel in the very heart of Florence. Overlooking the lively Piazza del Mercato Nuovo, one has only to shut the beautiful windows to block out all the noise below. Alessandra has curated Porcellino Gallery with exquisite taste, creating comfortable and alluring seating areas in all the public spaces, and dramatic and cozy rooms. Mariella and Mark attended to every detail, from a lovely in-house late-afternoon glass of wine to helping me navigate the city as a single person. I look forward to my next visit!
A unique Interior design, excellent. The staff were fantastic and exceptionally helpful.
A little Noisy early morning but thats what you get being in a City Centre location.
Great location, attentive, helpful , friendly staff. Small- only 5 rooms.
I like the staff and location.I would love to stay there again.
