Designed by the architect Simone Micheli, the Barcelò Milan is a new hotel with an impressive tower and glass façade.
Score from 1083 reviews Very good
Friendly staff. Metro station on walking distance (5-10 minutes) Good breakfast!
The Hotel cannot influence it however the amount of Euro 5,00/person/day for tourisme tax is outrageous!
Hospitality and cleanliness
Food was not available afternoon or somewhere close by.
1) Proximity to the following: - the Convention Centre (some 5 min walking) - to the Lotto Metro station that takes one to downtown Milan in about 15 min (some 10 min walking to the station) - to the Malpensa shuttle station (some less than 10 min walking) 2) Staff were generally nice 3) Big windows in the room, which can open
1) Facilities in the room: no coffee/tea station, no bathrobe, small wardrobe even in a double room, small bathroom counter, no recycling bins, no iron in the room and no possibility to get an iron in the room either -- apparently this is an issue of electric wiring, risking a fire!!! (given the proximity to the Convention Centre and the likely business profile of the guests, this is a glaring minus) 2) Facilities in the hotel: one would have to take their clothes to iron them in this storage room next to the reception, among suitcases, bottles, and other miscellaneous items -- no ironing room available and no ironing service available either! Also, breakfast had exactly the same items every day -- pretty good, but not diverse. Elevators are rather small, taking at the max one person and 2 big suitcases. 3) The walls are not sound insulated, so, expect noises from all parts. The hotel is generally ok and has many pluses, but it is in no way a 4* hotel by international standards.
The rom are very small and the pictures at booking.com are fare away from the facts. We choose to Stay out of the room the most of the time and use the room just to sleep during the night and for a daily shower.
room size & bath .to small .cardboard to small .
The staff. Near subway station. Breakfast was good and complete. WIFI works well
Location Wi-fi Staff
Clean rooms, at 150 m. walking distance from the MiCo conference venue
the staff is so freindly and nice .the location is great. It's close to the mico convention center. The breakfast is nice.
There is no convenient store near the hotel.
Only a couple of minutes walk from MiCo Conference Centre. Good WiFi connection. A good array of choices for breakfast. Helpful staff at the front desk.
If you are in Milan to see the sights you need to bear in mind that this hotel is a walk and a metro ride from those sights. This might or might not be suitable to you.
Location near to Mico
Football field behind - people playing till late disrupting sleep. Very noisy
Good Wifi, bathroom with space, very close to the Milano Fair Center, helpful staff
Unpractical room setting, not enough space for one person, very small safe, breakfest with no veggies at all, pricy, room loaded with cheap materials, full carpet on the floor, small window
Close to congress centre
Rooms facing a busy road was noisy. Beds very hard
Clean, nice staff.
No retaurant, other than for breakfast - surely with 4 stars more than a breakfast should be possible. Bar was tiny and connected to reception, so not somewhere to sit and relax. I booked because it was near the fiera, but near the right one. Check it!
The facilities were good, breakfest was excellent.
The location is near a metro station, and yet I don't think any tourists would like it. Better for business trips.
Price/quality; Economy hotel for short stays with comfort.
Simple breakfast; Dark rooms;
Room great, breakfast excellent, staff helpful.
Would be nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in room.
This hotel designed for space -men .
Comfortable quiet room, plenty of amenities, friendly and helpful staff. 500 m away from Lotto metro stop (red line - linking to Duomo and to Cadorna Station) so easy to move around. 2 km walk from San Siro stadium.
Hotel a bit expensive (especially after adding the city tax) considering it is a a four star place and quite distant from the downtown / most fashionable neighbourhoods. Breakfast buffet assortment slightly below expectations for its category.
Close to conference center Friendly staff
Not an exciting part of the city
Rooms are quite noisy Noise from traffic, corridor and next rooms are loud to hear
Was in Milan to attend a concert at San Siro Stadium, it was about a 20 minute walk from the hotel. We came by train to Milan and then rode Metro system from main train station. Cost 1.50 € each way, and hotel was fairly close to Metro Station. We arrived before our room was ready, but were able to leave our luggage in a secure room while we walked around city.
On Sundays most of the restaurants near the hotel are closed. We had a great dinner at a Bar/Pizzeria across the strret from hotel, about a block away. They opened at 2 pm.
It was about a 20 min walk to Siri Stadium which was were we were going for the trip. The breakfast was adequate.
stayed for a concert in the san siro. Easy 20 minute walk.. ! excellent breakfast for the price of hotel..Every area of hotel was spotless
