The view and peacefullness of the hotel was wonderful. The staff was friendly, helpful, and the buffet breakfast was a very nice selection of delicious food. I was a little nervous on the steep windy driveway on the edge of a cliff to get to the hotel, although the view was worth it. |

We loved the view, the location, the food, the patio area, the proximity to the hiking trail. Beer was not cold enough |

Very nice hotel right on the cliffside and with spectacular views of the sea. Great deck room facing the town - huge balcony. We also mentioned that one of our party is not able to eat gluten and the next morning there were some gluten-free choices at the buffet which was wonderful and quite thoughtful. It is up a steep and narrow pathway although the use of a taxi service from the hotel solves that problem. |

They had a good shuttle service and nice employes. The hotel seems old and used. Four stars is way to much for this hotel. Bad beds. Tasteless furnishing ans a very poor kitchen. |

Fantastic hotel in a most beautiful setting. Loved everything about the hotel; our room had a balcony that overlooked the sea and the wonderful dinner on the terrace was gorgeous and romantic. The staff was friendly and helpful. Just a blessed experience! |

Both the terace and the restaurant offered excellent views. We also enjoyed the breakfast and dinners at the hotel. Our room was very disappointing. Tired decor needs an update for what is marketed as a luxury hotel! It was noisy ; hotel vehicles driving back and forth frequently as well as glass bottles being dumped into the recycling bins below our balcony early each morning and throughout the day. Our room was hot and offered no privacy from people sitting on the terrace looking into our room and smoking. |

The staff was very helpful, starting with the woman who encountered us at the bottom of the hill and insisted on calling up for transport to save us from pulling our luggage up the quite steep hill. Good call. The front desk people were able to give us maps and hiking info, as well as train and boat schedules. The restaurant is lovely with great views and good food. I was unable to book a room with a view on-line, but was able to upgrade upon arrival. It is absolutely worth it to get a room on the top floor. The location of the hotel is perfect, far enough above town for quiet, but close enough to walk to dinner and shopping very easily. |

The location is wonderful and the staff were fantastic, particularly when the first room we were given fell well short of our expectations. The restaurant was also very good and reasonably priced. The rooms really need updating. They are very cluttered with unnecessary miss matched furniture of varying styles and the air conditioning is ineffective. In our first room the bed was like a hammock, very soft sagging and uncomfortable. The second was better but still not perfect and squeaked. A revamp I(including better beds) would lift this hotel considerably. |

The location of this hotel is ideal. There is designated space on a private beach for convenience. Close walk to eating spots and is at the entrance of the Cinque terra trail going southeast. There is a complimentary shuttle from the train station to the hotel that we didnt know about until we reached the hotel via a long uphill trail. Please advise make use of the complimentary car service so you dont have to drag your bags up the steep hill. Our stay was lovely and wished we could stay longer!! |

Best location, superb views of the bay and ocean. Excellent restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended - ask for sea view room No, we had a superior double room with a balcony. Superb views and the dining experience is probably the best in town. |

Staff were excellent. Offered a sea view room which was detached from the hotel. It was very private which we liked and I would recommend it for any couple who are mobile (it is a little hard to get to) |

I like the sight seeing, especially seaside & the villages. They have to renovate the room especially the design is so poor. Not suitable as the room rates. |

Quiet, beautiful views of beach and shoreline, convenient for walking to Monterossa Old Town area and for hiking Cinque Terre trail to Vernazza. Felt the meal charges were somewhat high for quality. |

The room with a view really had a marvelous view. Too expensive for the value. It was clear that we were paying for the view without other particular amenities. |

The views are spectacular and the distance from the town is appreciated and makes the walk up the hill all worthwhile, The dedicated beach chairs and towels were terrific. Staff was very helpful with dinner reservations. The free taxi from the train station is a huge extra benefit with luggage. |

The personnel from the day staff to the restaurant staff were fabulous and always standing by to assist. They had a person pick us up and drop us off at the train station which was great. We had a wonderful time hiking the Cinque Terre and just relaxing at the hotel with a book. |
