Superb location for both the cathedral and the city itself. Splendidly stylish building. Decent breakfast. Helpful staff. Overall, a very good package.

The renovation was tasteful enough, but incomplete, and at yes of dubious quality- eg water escaping from the shower.

the rooms are clean, comfortable beds, perfect location, the hotel is in the heart of the city

not good enough soundproofing, very bad wi-fi

    The hotel itself was fine

Double windows should prevent the heavy noise of the bell tower nearby, which beat each 15 minutes...even during the night...

Hotel Posta is conveniently in the old city of Orvieto. Our room faced the back of the building, looking out to the garden. It was quiet, except for the ringing of the clock every 15 minutes :) Our shared bath was clean. We had to go to the lobby or garden to use wifi.

The rope hand rails, while decorative, are not useful for someone who has mobility problems

It's easy to walk around Orvieto from the hotel.

The clock bells in the nearby Torre del Moro ring every 15 minutes all night. We closed the hotel's windows and shutters - if it had been a hot night we would have roasted, as the room had neither fan nor air conditioner - and we used ear plugs but still couldn't sleep. I'm a sound sleeper (a few years ago I slept through a fire alarm), but I couldn't handle this. My wife is a light sleeper and was awake the entire night. The Hotel Posta may not be at fault, but travelers wanting a good night's rest should stay farther away from the center.

    Nice building & garden

The loud noise from the street, very early in the morning (even before 6 am), from vans & trollies making deliveries to nearby shops. Sleep after that time was impossible. A room at the back of the hotel would be better.

    capuccino. cuty black cat.

    1. the city bell. there is a big bell that every fifteen minute announce. but even u choice any room, u should hear that sound whole night, seriously. 2. the breakfast. fruit juice was not fresh(may be it's so long time not drinked) 3. all staff will not friendly if you 5 min late for check out. they knock your door with force. 4. no airconditioner. so when you want to open your window while your sleep, impossible cause too noisy (near by downtown street) 5. you should know about' city tax' 2.40 Euro for 2 person a day. they will not announce before you check out.

The bells every 15 minutes all through the night. Impossible to live with.

the location is absolutely fantastic. The building is gorgeous. And the friendly receptionist there is now my son's top favorite! She was incredibly nice. I would say for the price, it is one of the best deals one can come across.

Quirky. Fun. Catch the funicular out of the train station. Walk to hotel. Heart of historic area. Shared bathroom, very clean and new. A lift. Sink and bidet in room.. Great view of clock tower and garden.

    NO internet. Period.

Very attentive service from front desk employees and cleanliness of room/bathroom. Location also great. A breakfast in morn with cappuccino also a nice option.

The wifi doesn't work so well in lobby so had to get close to modem. Also breakfast foods were exact same every day including fruit that got older and worse looking as week continued. Would be good to change more often.

Hotel is very clean and close to most attraction

No wifi or tv in the room. Not all staff is English Speaking. The clock tower is right next to the hotel so every fifteen minutes the bell rang making it difficult to sleep at night. Bring your ear plugs.

Everything was great! Nice clean rooms, great location and cheap. They even gave me a discount on the advertised price because I was by myself in the room.

This is not about the hotel. Just remember that if you are arriving by train, you have to take the funicular to go into town. It would be quite the hike if you decided to walk up!

This hotel was superb! Nice and quiet but you are in the best area of old city Orvieto. The breakfast is fantastic, and if you want anything extra, all you have to do is ask. The staff were so kind throughout my stay. I will definitely return.

    nothing not to like

The room next door had a dog and they left him alone in the room, he barked for over an hour!! The shared bathroom had no shower curtain, the floor was always wet!

Location was good, right in the center of things yet not on a busy street.

Internet was not always available & when it was, it was only in lobby. Directions to get to hotel from train were not clear. We walked it, since we had no idea which bus to get or where to get off.
