Hotel President  

A good hotel, at this time of the year (Oct) very quiet. Everything was OK, a friendly, English speaking reception. Thehotel is used by several travel agencies, so the standard is kept in condition.

To our surprise defect pool chairs had simply been thrown over the fence to the next plot, away from the eyes, but we could see them from our balcony. A strange behaviour from a good hotel!!

The hotel was clean and its environment was quiet. staff was frendly and gave us great help.

Swimming pool was nice especially with kids.

The hotel has a wonderful pool and lots of sun chairs. The breakfast buffet had different types of bread, cake and cereals. Our family room was really big and comfortable. The small refrigerator in the room was good for having cold water and sodas. Train station is not that far away, here you can also go by bus to Birgi Airport (Trapani) and to Palermo The hotel ordered a taxi to pick us up at the airport when we arrived late. Unfortunately the price for the taxi was 15 Euro higher than standard price.

The white bread for breakfast could be a lot better. An info paper telling you when is breakfast, opening hours at the restaurant and general information about the hotel. No pool bar - you cannot buy an icecream or a soda when you are at the pool. The beach is at least 5 km away from the hotel. The restaurant does not sell pizzas eventhough it says pizzeria in front of the hotel. The hotel does not have a fitness room although they write it on the internet page.

Arriving in the dark Masarla is not easy to navigate!

The hotel has a problem with cockroachs!

The hotel is very big and has everything you could need: comfortable rooms, swimming pool etc... It need a refresh, the building is quite old and old style and since it's so big you could sometimes think to be in the corridors of Shining movie (when we stay there there were only few customers and we called it P-resident Evil because of the silence and empty corridors!). In general anyway it's ok.

The bathroom has a vent that (as they say) works only at centralized timings and not simply when you switch on the light. And only few rooms have balcony (maybe you should ask to have it, we didn't).

Nice but slightly outdated hotel a little outside of the centre of Marsala. The room was spacious and very clean, but lacked a balcony. The rooms at the rear side of the hotel have balconies, the ones at the front side do not. The breakfast buffet is ok, but not what you would expect in a hotel like this. The hotel has a nice swimming pool and a free-of-charge private parking lot. We booked the hotel with a SuperFlash-deal and payed only 37,50 euro per night in high season, which is an incredibly low price for this hotel.

La posizione

Il frigo bar era guasto e vuoto,la televisione funzionava malissimo, l'acqua calda e' arrivata solo al mattino.

Buona posizione, il personale è sempre cortese e disponibile.

Peccato che il ristorante fosse chiuso.

Forse il bagno avrebbe bisogno di una sistemata, ma era sicuramente pulito. Mancano prese elettriche nella stanza (con telefoni, fotocamere & co da caricare abbiamo staccato il televisore)

stanza squallida, posizione troppo fuori Marsala, doccia fissa quindi sprovvista di doccetta ("telefono")

Colazione a buffet migliorabile

Grand parking devant l'hôtel, le centre est à 15 min de marche. Grande parcheggio davanti al'albergo: il centro è a 15 min a piedi.

Chambre sombre et vieillote, comme l'ensemble de l'hôtel. Petit déjeuner franchement mauvais. Camera scura e vecchia, come l'albergo nel suo complesso. La prima colazione fa schifo.

La piscina

La moquette, presente dappertutto, probabilmente nasconde una pulizia non eccelsa. Le lenzuola e gli asciugamani hanno un odore terrificante!!!!!

Pulizia delle camere carente, presenza di scarafaggi vicino alla porta dell'ascensore, un piccione morto con escrementi sul balcone e formiche in bagno

L'hotel, sicuramente struttura di punta negli anni 90, oggi soffre di un parziale decadimento. Avrebbe sicuramente necessità di approfonditi restyling. Abbiamo scelto questo Hotel solo per l'offerta che proponeva il soggiorno scontato del 50%. A queste condizioni (e quindi comparato ad una tariffa così scontata) la struttura risponde alle aspettative. In caso contrario...il rapporto qualità prezzo non è sicuramente all'altezza.
