We were very disappoiinted in the hotel. The hotel was noisy, had a rudimentary closet and 2 twin beds separated by a wall appendage that was to serve as a desk (?).

The staff in the hotel is very friendly and the location is great as it is close to the city centre. Also the breakfast was quite good. The hotel looks outdated and could definitely use some refurbishment.

The staff at reception were very helpful. The hotel is conveniently located for the airport bus. There are lovely views of the sunrise from the restaurant on the seventh floor. The quality of the food at both dinner and breakfast was disappointing. They only started serving breakfast at 7am and at that time there was only a limited range of food (for example, bread). There was no flexibility in this time, even though we had to leave at 7.20 for the airport bus.

We chose the President Hotel initially because it was listed as being close to the Port/Dock at Palermo,.When we arrived off the Ferry from Genova, the Hotel was immediately visible. It is a beautiful, Traditional, Quality Hotel, where we were Greeted and Welcomed on arrival and nothing was too much trouble for the Staff. Although we anticipated a simple Continental Breakfast, it turned out to be a 'substantial', and nourishing Buffet and again nothing was too muich trouble for the Waiter...........Standard of cleanliness and attire was beyond reproach. We were sorry to leave this Hotel, as it was the Best one we had stayed in over the past 10 days, staying in Barcelona, Nice and Sicily. To sum up: Our stay at the President, took 'precedence' over all the others!!!! We could not fault the Hotel or Staff...........we just wish we could have stayed longer! Simple tea or coffe making facilities in the room, for when cafe/coffee shop was closed, would have a good idea.

It was conveniently located in Palermo. Would have liked to be able to fix a cup of tea or coffee in the room in the evening/night.

The staff especially Silvio were very helpful. Very clean. Good value for money. 2 very small lifts which are unable to cope with such a busy hotel especially at busy times. The breakfast was basic, with no hot food except hard boiled eggs and toast. We tried room service for cappachino which was only warm and not hold and very small. Also rather old-fashioned. Poor location for transport except airport bus which is very close. 10 mins walk for better transport links.

The location from the dock was great. The room very adequate and breakfast was very good. The fridge in the room didn't work and those linen drying cloths most places have are just not adequate.

The Location was good as it was a short walk to business and shopping areas My room was on the sixth floor and the noise in the morning preparing the breakfast (the next flight) meant wake up calls were not necessary

I liked the location because it was very near important bus services such as to the airport and Monreale. It was also across from the ferry dock, and we were using the ferry to get to Rome. They also had an excellent breakfast buffet. They were gracious enough to let me use their computer, but I don't think there should have been a charge.

Great for the price that we paid :) (Less than 50 Euro per night) Very happy with what we got and only if they had that special on other days we were there, I would have booked to stay there more days. Breakfast and service at the desk was great. Room was very clean and location was nearby everything. Will definitely stay there and recommend people to stay there :)

Nice breakfast al buffe, that was only nice thing about this hotel Everything is rather old, I have no idea how the hotel got 4 stars. The furniture is old and broken, tiles in the toilet are scratched. When we came back to hotel, late in evening, there was 5 big wild dogs on the outer stairs, quite scary. The receptionist said they was from the parking. Btw, the parking costs 12 euros per night

The location is perfect for those who are going to leave Palermo from the port early morning, it's relly some steps from the port entrance. The stuff of the hotel speaks English and was very friendly. The hotel is situated near the street full of clothes shops, but it's near impossible to buy something like shampoo there.

The hotel is near the port and near city center, but a bit far from the train station (~2km). The room was ok, a bit outdated but clean. The brakfast is typical hotel breacfast but very good. The time stopped for this hotel in late 70's when it used to be a 4 star hotel, the windows were not cleaned since then. The towels in the bathroom were actualy table cloths, very very wrong!! I had the worst coffee in Italy and maybe the world in this hotel. But overall if you want a descent hotel near the city center would recommend

Good value for money. Not far from the historic centre of Palermo. The hotel is on a busy street but due to good windows you can't here noise from the cars in the night. A beautiful view from the top! A perfect breakfast. Stuff speaks english so there were no communication problems. It's a good hotel but not worth 4 stars. Three I'd say.

Excellent location in relation to port and ferry services. Excellent breakfast. Great value for money. We got a twin rather than the double we ordered. Staff explained we were getting a view of the port with the twin which was correct.

“We spent 3 nights at this Great hotel, central location. Just an 11 minute city bus to Mondello beach! Staff was friendly and informative. Room was spacious, very clean and had a balcony. Walking distance to open air markets, shopping and Palermo sites. Simple breakfast was included (croissants, jams, yogurts, coffee, tea, fruit, cereal).” Peter, Oakville |
