The staff were very helpful and courteous. The courtesy limo to the centre of things was a very nice touch. The bedrooms were very comfortable and clean. At a push the only negative was that the hotel bar was very expensive. |

The room was as advertised. The breakfast was extraordinary, like nothing I have seen in Italy before but it is critical that your booking has it included with the price of your room or the breakfast alone would have cost 35 euros. This is a very formal hotel and there was a lot of not so nice attitude from the staff. They are frothy and condescending. The location is terrible: I chose the hotel because I was only going to spend the night but still was surprised that you must take a taxi to go anywhere in Milan as there is nothing around the hotel of interest and, I was told, it can be quite unsafe. There are no restaurants, shops, etc near the hotel. So, you must calculate in the prices of taxis with your stay here. |

service This is by far the most expensive hotel in the world for room sevice. One gin & tonic from the mini bar will cost 24 euros and one bowl of mixed berries for breakfast will cost 20 euros! |

The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The room was large and well equipped. The swimming pool could have been slightly larger, but that's a minor point. |

Nice room and friendly, helpfull staff. Room could be made very dark with blinds on the outside. Excellent five-star service like valet parking, luggage handling, explanation of the room at arrival. Spa + training facilities were good and relaxing. Food was good. We had diner in the garden of the hotel and took the sorbet menu in which a scoop of ice is served in each course which tasted surprisingly good. Airco was not strong enough to really cool the room. Minibar was not refilled after first day. Given that it was also quite expensive this may not have been so bad after all. Breakfast is also quite expensive so make sure it is included in the room price. |

The room was very large and very well appointed. The spa faclities were also first rate. The hotel lobby was under renovation. Also, the prices for the in-room bar were very expensive ($7.50 Euro's for a bottle of water) and the prices at the hotel restaurant were extremely expensive. The location was not very convenient for restaurants. |

Great welcome, excellent staff, lovely room and superb new bathroom, could not find fault with hotel even though there were some renovations going on. Great classical building and luxury old world charm. |
