Hotel Ramon is set in a peaceful area of Campitello di Fassa, 100 metres from the funicular linking to the Sella Ronda ski area.
Score from 30 reviews Excellent
Set in San Martino Di Castrozza, Hotel Villa Aurora is just 300 metres from the Tognola ski area. It features a games room in the basement, an elegant restaurant and garden with children's playground....

Position, position, position.
Hotel is very tired, it is in need of an update. Meals were ordinary.
Next to the Marmolada CableCar great for an early start. We only stopped for one night on a Summer tour for which the deal we got was good value. The room was very basic but clean and tidy. Bathroom had good shower (smallish). Food was ok for the price nothing special.
Basic room and wardrobe no drawer unit. One hard flat pillow per person. No tea/coffee, no English TV channels not even CNN. We had a basic room 1 small window with no view. The balcony rooms must be better.
the rooms were comfy, airy and very clean. the location was perfect
the facility was old, and the bathroom needed renovation. the food was realy bad and breakfast was poor. the lift next to the hotel was broken so we had to drive 40klm to get to Arabba. we had to leave one day earlier but they demanded the entire payment. no internet connection
Location next to Marmolada and Sela Ronda ski facilities
Poor internet service
Location, parking, half board, room
Need to take the towel from the room when going to sauna or pool. Ski advisor not always giving helpful info. Internet not for free.
Everything was great.
Wifi connection is horrible :)
We had a lovely stay. The friendliness and service attitude of staff are exceptional; they really go the extra mile to respond and meet your requests. The ski-boots of my son were misplaced by mistake from the ski-room (and returned in the same night); and the hotel offered to pay for a day of boot ski-rental for him. Food is delicious, restaurant service immaculate. Overall, great value for money; and well beyond our expectations (after having read some of the reviews here).
The opening times of the sauna and swimming pool can be made more flexible. These close at 7pm; or actually at 6.45pm, as the pool master will ask you to leave then... If it's open till 7pm, keep it open at least till then...
Location, location :) The proximity to ski runs, lifts and Marmolada cable car was a huge advantage. I really did like buffet breakfast, even though with minimal variety there was always plenty of food. As for dinner while the selection was only from 2 dishes it was always very tasty and adequate. Rooms, although basic and small were nice and clean, bathrooms excellent, nice hot showers yay (no comment on TV set, but it did work :) Pool, spa and sauna facilities were really good and in great conditions and after all day on the skies going for a bit of sweat and swim did help to recover and relax. - for extra 10 EURO per day we did book undercover car park and it was great as it did save us heaps of time getting the snow of our car – recommended All staff was really attentive and huge thanks to Milan and Yuri
The use of some of utility rooms by hotel staff and smoking there against the overall hotel policy of NO SMOKING
Bad service, bad food, no attention towards the guest at all. Very expensive for bad service. Don't go there! One year before I was at Hotel Roy, which is 300 meters away from this hotel. Because it was already fully booked I went to the Principe, because I thought it would be similar or even better because it was double the price. What an illusion...
Excellent in all respects: clean, comfortable room, excellent food, friendly efficient staff. Daniela even sourced some snow chains for us. Exceeds what I expect for a three star hotel. Great location close (50 metres) to Marmolada gondola, a shuttle to the drag lift, good access to the wider Dolomiti ski area. Discount on ski rental below the hotel for good range of equipment kept in good condition. Carlo and Michael, two staff at the hotel, took guests around the resort so they could experience a range of skiing. Great.
No negative comments.
Friendly and helpful staff,great location,good temperature,shops outside
food,not enough vegetables,poor breakfast,not ones good rice,poor selection of cereal,old bread
Great price/quality ratio Next to the cabin lift of Marmolada Rooms are clean and in a good condition Swimming pool Shops in the hotel
Most of the staff does not speak English, but they try to be helpful Dinner without buffet There is no fun in Malga Ciapela except hotel and skiing No free wifi. TVs are old, small and does not work very well.
Location is great. Only 100 m to the ski lift and around 130 km from Treviso airport
Noise protection in the rooms is a bit low so one can easily hear neighbors' talk
