Hotel Principe Napolit'amoVia Toledo, 148, Plebiscito, 80132 Naples (Show map) Good, Score from 401 reviews“We were very satisfied with Hotel Principe Napolitano. It is not literally a classical hotel, because in the buliding is not only the hotel. Excelent location. Easily reachable from the airport. (Alibus 3 eur last stop + 3 minutes walk).”
Feher,
Budapest
The Hotel Principe Napolit'amo has a great location right in the heart of Naples along the Via Toledo pedestrian boulevard. This elegant hotel, set in a 16th century building, has retained its traditional style in its furnishings and decoration. All guest rooms are comfortable and spacious. Superior rooms overlook Via Toledo and the city’s Spanish Quarter. The Hotel Principe Napolit'amo is close to the main harbor, making it easy to visit the islands of Capri or Ischia. The friendly and multilingual staff can recommend excursions in and around the city. All of the main attractions are easily reached including the Royal Palace and the San Carlo Opera Theatre. The location was excellent, it could have been a little tricky to find but the description of how to get there sent from the hotel with our confirmation was very helpful. It was very reasonably priced. The staff were helpful. Breakfast was a simple buffet and was no more or no less what we were expecting. Walking straight out onto via Toledo where all the shops are (pedestrianised) . We enjoyed exploring the maze of narrow back streets across from the hotel, lots of small shops and restaurants there. We used the city busses to get to Piazza Garibaldi to get the train to Herculaneum and Pompei.

It is located in the centre of Naples Very hard to find the hotel in the first place, as numbers on Via Toledo go up/down on different sides, even the local police couldn't show us! The rooms were noisy so found it hard to sleep. What you would expect in a central location, but the noise wasn't from outside. The gaps around the door meant we heard every one else in the hotel, Some clever photography on the website meant the hotel wasn't what we expected at all.

Location is good, in a comercial street, you can find a shopping area and small traditional restaurants around. The heat did not work, the building has an old-style that is a liitle bit scary and the WiFi signal was poor in the room we were asigned.

The building was a 16th century grand building hidden away from the main street with a lot of character. Staff are friendly and helpfull. The rooms are quiet The shower head needed cleaning. Another blanket would have been nice. The bed was 2 singles pushed together that kept moving apart very frustrating. Difficult to find.

Service was excellent - Staff were very helpful. Good location in city center. Shower pressure was horrible, wifi signal was very weak. Both these features need to be urgently addressed.

The hotel is well situated for all major points of interest. Area feels very safe and some excellent restaurants a short distance away. Room was very comfortable and spacious with a balcony overlooking Via Toledo. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. All you might need in a city centre hotel. Good value.

I like the place that hotel Naplitamo is. It is at the center of Napoli and this is very comfort for our stay. The bed is not comfortable and the rooms has only a door from one to the other there is a problem with the next to our rooms.

A beautiful building, worn around the edges in places but very clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent position right in the heart of the shopping area and close to major sites. Very good value.

My partner and I and her adult son, daughter-in-law and their 2 older children stayed at Hotel Principe Napolit'amo for 4 nights in early October. Via Toledo, in which Hotel Principe Napolit'amo is situated, is a lively, pleasant street in the heart of Naples. We found it easy to walk to any of the places we wished to go. Our bathrooms were large (by Italian standards) and the beds comfortable (again by Italian standards. Their beds are much harder than Australian ones, which mostly have innerspring mattresses). Wi-fi is available in the comfortable hotel living rooms. Breakfast offered is quite adequate, although more geared to Italian and European tastes probably. Our (superior double) room overlooked Via Toledo and though this means there is plenty to look at from the balcony during the day, it is exceedingly noisy almost all through the night. This is Naples, though and is no fault of the hotel.

There is nothing not to like about this hotel. It was clean and quiet with a comfortable bed, and good water pressure and plenty of hot water in the shower. The staff was very helpful including making some phone calls for us and getting us a taxi for a 5 am pickup. It was a bonus to have an elevator and even a free computer for the guests' use. I was a little nervous at first because the price was so cheap (€50) but everything was great. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Oh yes, the location was also great. Right next to the Spanish quarter which is very intriguing and has great inexpensive food. I lived in New York City for six years and I think I can tell when an area is dangerous. This was not.

Good location, just few minutes walk from the pot that we can get the ship to Capri and other islands. Not good as this location not close to train station, at least 45 mins walk. Also, cuz located in a shopping area, a bit noisy during the night time.

Location was perfect, central to everything. Hotel was situated in a courtyard, off the street, which was unusual, and felt very safe/ Loved the spacious rooms, which were immaculate. Breakfast was quite good. Staff were very helpful, and friendly- Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Only thing was that it is quite hard to find/

It is a simple hotel, simple rooms. A bit difficult when arriving, for it is on the first floor and there is no notice as to how to proceed after they open the gate. Anyway, it is good value for money. Wi fi only works close to the reception. Room is too small.

We only had a quick one night stop in Naples so I don't have too much to say about this place. It's a little far from the train station...we didn't really see any sights so I'm not sure if it's close to anything of importance. However, I can say that was room was nice and clean. Modest, but has everything we needed on a budget. It was on a street that had amazing shopping so that was pretty cool. Other than that it's a nice place to stay on a budget and we had no problems here.

Room was a nice size and and the air conditioning worked well - a big plus in a hot and humid climate. The hotel had a restaurent upstairs, the food was very good, the surroundings very nice, and the price was very reasonable. Location was also very convenient, not far from train station and the Bay of Naples. Breakfast buffet was adequate but somewhat sloppy. The stacked dishes still had droplets of water on them from the dishwasher and this was rather unappetizing. The breakfast food was not nicely arranged and the coffee was awful.

Easy to find hotel is on pedestrianised Via Toledo, smooth walk with luggage and a 6 yo to Alibus, ferry to Ischia, Umberto gallery. 'In Pomodorino' opposite Alibus stop serves fantastic pizza. Narrow streets open spectacular views and glimpes of port. We stayed in MediNapoli before but there is no comparison. Our room was modern chic, good size, fab shower, fluffy towels. Delicious breakfast served in Regal Style Dinninig room and espresso made our day. FreeWiFi works in reception area but it is a pleasant place. Will definately stay again.

Great location, very old and impressive hotel building well intentioned but unprofessional staff. Service was very poor during breakfast (you need to run after the staff to set up the breakfast table which was extremely annoying). Renovated rooms (in my view it was not completed throroughly) were not clean (floor was very dusty and dirty; bed cover was not nice and when I open the cover for the first time, there were a few hairs on the bed...

We had a very comfortable family room with lots of space for the 4 of us. The hotel is in a great location for visiting Naples - we felt very safe walking about in the afternoon and early evening and found some very good restaurants nearby. The stop for the r2 bus to the railway station was very close so we could catch a train to Pompei and we also used the Alibus straight to the airport - it took about 10 minutes to walk with our suitcases. We would use the hotel again.

Great central location Considering the room was supposed to be a superior double the room was very sparse. There were no contents in the in-room fridge. Shower room was dirty. Breakfast was particularly poor with limited seating and plastic disposables for drinking orange juice with. A disapointing result from what appears on the webpage as a high class hotel.

“Spotlessly clean rooms that are ultra modern in the starkest of minimilist style. The well informed very efficient staff wear kahki uniforms and it felt to me that we were in a well run prison. The sgribbled graffiti style decoration possibly wouldn't have suited my mature parents, but we liked the quiky style of it all. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and food. The location is spot on just outside Piazza Bellini the nicest place in Napoli apart from the waterfront. ” Neil, Caernarfon |
