On the grand canal and near the train station. Friendly and professional staff. Wonderful breakfast; great selections.
Great position. Accommodation was excellent and will highly recommend to other travellers!
Breakfast buffet was very good. Location in the midst of everything. Staff upgraded my room at no additional cost. (I think they liked that a spoke a little Italian when I checked in)
Missing information, that opportunity to have breakfast on the terrace costs 5 EUR for each person. You receive this information only then when you sit down with breakfast at the table in terrace
The price is good and near the bus station. breakfast is excellent. Free-wifi, Very easy to find.
The room is small and something wrong with the air conditioner, it is cold.
Woke up at 4 am by loud guest.
Nice location and big lobby !
What a fine day and evening was spent on the Grand Canal at the Hotel Principe! We had front row seats to the Regatta and an excellent meal to boot!! The beautiful voices singing Italian songs just added to the magic of the moment!
It was an ideal spot right on the Grand Canal, staff very friendly, everything about the hotel was exceptional. Very near to bus and rail station and also the port.
After paying so much money I had to pay an extra 5 euros so I could eat my breakfast outside in the sun.
Loved the canal views, great central location. We were upgraded to a lovely suite. Great service and staff.
Everything was perfect
Accessibility to major areas of Venice, day or night
Arriving by water taxi Being met by willing and experienced staff Roomy accommodation Comfortable bed Well equipped en-suite Hot water Excellent shower Diningroom overlooking terrace and Grand Canal. Willing and helpful staff Excellent breakfast Attentive staff in the bar Lovely homemade biscuits with our tea taken in the bar! Very considerate Reception Staff
Bedroom was very cold We were not shown the thermostat When we found it, it didn't appear to work!
Short walk to train station & ferry stop
For the expense, perhaps stay in the Rialto district, 10 minutes walk to San Marco Piazza
They changed our hotel, because they got overbooked. That was very bad, poor breakfast.
This is a beautiful hotel, well appointed, excellent facilities, services, and friendly and helpful staff!! The location is perfect as well; very centric, close to all the major attractions, nearby great restaurants, shopping, train station and bus line and right in the Gran Canal!
Wifi service not 100% reliable, it would drop a lot.
Staff were polite but not friendly. We couldn't sit on the terrace by the river for breakfast or for a coffee.
The location was so good if you're traveling by train, also the breakfast was so good they'll give you a many choice and i like it
In the bedroom have some strange smell
As above and very good position as regards Roma Square and railway station.
Very slow service at the one dinner we took at the hotel although the food was excellent.
Terracce, staff, service
bed was very hard as most hotel beds in Italy are, it seems!
Location was very good ,staff were excellent
Did not get room i requested
The location to the bus and train station. Rooms on canal had a great view. We stayed here twice within a week and had two totally different experiences as to friendliness of staff.
Rooms on canal were loud. Hotel staff, especially in the restaurant were not accomodating. You were not able to take a cup of coffee onto the "public" veranda overlooking the canal in the am from the dining room. They had no adaptors for US plugs and the one that we brought would not stay in the socket. Wifi, while they claim to have it was basically non-existent. Also went into the bar to try to order a glass of wine on the veranda and were basically never served. Both coffee machines did not work in the dining room! Definitely not a 5 star in my opinion.
We had a super-sized room with gorgeous view on the Grand Canel. Breakfast with wide choice was very delicious. We can absolutely recommend this Hotel to every visitor of Venice. We will come back.
The location is excellent 200 metres from the train station. Staff were helpful and the breakfast was reasonable. Free wi-fi but had to get separate passwords for each device.
The bed was uncomfortable and had a lean which meant I continually felt like I was falling out of bed. Why advertise a room as a double and then supply 2 single beds?
Location, old world features, staff and cleanliness.
