On the Grand Canal just a few hundred feet from Venice’s Santa Lucia train station, Ca’ Nigra Lagoon Resort is a unique Venetian hotel.

Location and room. EXCELLENT breakfast
The hotel staff at the front desk were actually RUDE to the point that I was afraid one man w purple glasses was going to come over the counter and hit my daughter- it was not pleasant!! It was only the next day that he somewhat apologized w " I was young once too". I have never experienced such a situation and hope I never do again!!
The restaurant open towards the canal is nice. The tour organised by the hotel to Murano was good.
Restaurant and bar closes too early.
poor facilities-out of order hairdryer
porters - wanted tip. implied bags weren't safe otherwise
Great at all Most of the things were perfect
Just we saw a lizard ! :D
Everything, we had a room with the view of the river
If you are arriving by train, it is only a very short way to walk to the Hotel. This was my 5th trip to Venice and I only just found out there is a side entrance to the rail station without having to carry the heavy cases up the steps. It should be better signed so that other people know this. We saw all the people carrying their cases up those stairs, and it is such a shame that the facility is there to make it easier on us.
There was nothing to dislike
I phoned housekeeping for wine glasses. Was told I had to get them from the bar downstairs. Went to bar and told wine glasses not allowed in rooms. Security and safety reasons. What rot. We have stayed in hotels all over the world and have never been denied wine glasses in our rooms ever. After pointing out to management that the wine that was going into the wine glass was actually from a GLASS bottle was reluctantly given 2 glasses to take back to room. Staff thought they were superior beings and treated guests as if they were at the hotel as an inconvenience.
I thought my room was great. It was roomy and aesthetically pleasing. I enjoyed the extra touches of amenities that they had, like slippers and a nail file that was so needed.
The staff was a little uptight and one person was short and tense when he did not have to be. The breakfast was just ok.
Good location, spacious room...
Even though I have requested a nice room with a detailed requirements when I made a reservation via Booking.com, the hotel staff assigned the room attached to the main building(maybe formerly the sister hotel of the Hotel Principe). The room was spacious. I had only one day available in Venice, I looked around the city right after the check-in. Early in the morning, I woke-up and felt being suffocated with a moldy smell. I found molds around the door. I made a phone call and found that lots of dust on the phone and on the desk. During the chek in process, the staff requested to leave the passport at the front desk and forgot to give it back to me during the check out. (I have stayed several hotels during this trip, only the Hotel Principe requested to leave my passport at the front desk.) I will not stay this hotel again.
The hotel locations is good. the breakfast was good. The wifi worked well.
The staff was COLD, RUDE and not polite. At least one gentleman was. Our language is very different I booked a single room/ double bed and they turn it around to double bed double people. Would not recommend
The location near to the train station
Wifi only at lobby area. No coffee/tea complimentary.
Location and breakfast room
Don't exchange you usa dollar at the hotel, very poor exchange rate.
The bathroom & air condition
Large bathroom and customer service
Wifi was a little week while we were making further holiday plans
Location. Worth the joy of a view over the bustle and interest of the Grand Canal. Plenty of variety for breakfast. Used room at the side for breakfast, so avoided busier main room. Helpful staff, couldn't be faulted. Easy walk to Rialto and ideal for Vaporetto links all over the City. Line 6 is quickest from p.Roma to Lido. We hired bikes and had a superb ride to Pellestrina for just 9 euros for a day.
Nice view from the room.
magnificent room on the Grand Canal! Friendly staff, great breakfast
wifi excellent in common areas but not always in the room
Front desk staff attitude needs changing. Dinner and breakfast very avarage
Localisation near the train station. The restaurant with the view on the canal.
The carpet of the room was durty (420). The noise of 4 air-conditioner just behind the room very hight. It's more expansive for the category of hotel (****)
Location, facilities, canal side terrace
Unhelpful, blunt and dismissive staff
We paid a little extra for the Superior Double room with baclony and canal views ... but well worth the experience ... location is convienoent to train station Overall great experience
there are many dining experiences just outside the hotel ... with our in house dining the service could have been better
Loved the location - very near train station. Excellent a/c. Very good breakfast.
