The only thing that was positive about this stay was the cleanliness of the room. The staff was not friendly. The air conditioning in our room was broken and it was very hot. When my husband brought this up to the staff, they were unwilling to do anything to compensate us. They told us that a discount, fan or portable ac unit was not possible. The hotel was old, far from Termini and under construction. I would never stay there again and reccomend that you don't either. Terrible!!!!!! |

The room had been renovated recently and looked good. Location was good. The airconditioning did not work. The mattress was too hard. The breakfast was not too good and the breakfast room (not yet renovated) was depressing. Not value for money. |

The hotel staff were friendly and spoke good English. We particularly liked the room's decor which gave it a nice feel. The air conditioning in the room was a bit feeble. |

The bedroom and bathroom, although not large, were both very clean and comfortable. The breakfast room was large and breakfast was simple but sufficient. The "via veneto" area in which the hotel is located is attractive and more upmarket than many other areas in Rome. Was great to be a little further from the bustle and dust of the centre but still very close to Spanish steps and Piazza Barberini. Building work on the top floor begins around 8 so not great if you want a lie in! We also had some trouble with the water which was accidentally turned off. These were minor issues for us as we generally got up early and water was turned back on fairly rapidly. Overall a good hotel experience. |

The room was attractively designed, newly decorated and clean The breakfast was awful. The milk for cereal was sour and the rolls were more than one day old and hard as rocks. The croissants were stale. |

We stayed in one of the newly refurbished rooms. They were fabulous! The hotel staff was great, especially the individuals at the front desk! Near the Borghese Gardens and definitely worth staying at. Within walking distance of TheSpanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. Within walking distance to the Barberini Metro Station for quicker journeys to the Vatican and the Coloseum. |

The hotel staff is very accurate and friendly. Breakfast is well regarded. The location is perfect. It is very quiet. I can recommend the Principessa Tea. The curious thing was I had to spend the first night in another hotel, due to room renovation, as they told me..... |

The room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated; newly refurbished I believe. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. On entering the hotel it looked rather shabby, but it is in the process of being refurbished so don't let this put you off. |

The bathroom was huge, brand new fixtures, marble everywhere. The room was clean and comfortable. I expected great capuccino and didn't get it. The breakfast coffee came from a push-button dispenser. |

Odnowiony pokój i łazienka - ładne . |

In between Esquilino and the Colosseum, this hotel is in the centre of the world's most historic, enchanting city. |
When in Rome, being close to Termini is a great help in finding your way around. Madison Hotel is one of the first things you'll see outside the Railway Station. |
Recently refurbished, elegant Augusta Lucilla Palace is housed in a restored 18th century building in a nice area close to Rome’s Termini station and beautiful Santa Maria Maggiore Church. |
Occupying an idyllic position in the historic centre of Rome, the hotel is within a 10 minute walk of the Quirinale Palace, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and the main shopping area of the city. |
