Breakfast is poor and the same every day.
The overall experience , location, staff and the cleanliness factor.
The revolving door at entrance, the limited variety at breakfast, my room was quite a walk.
Fine hotel..... nothing special to say more about it... I liked our room with the special separate hallway and bathroom... felt more as an apartment rather than a hotel room.
A bit of an outdated hotel. Huge rooms with high ceilings...something you must like...
Location and building
I was dreadfully ill and réception refused to send out for medicine. They only offered to call à doctor for 150 euros!
Dining Roman style in the beautiful garden with big old trees and fountain. Loved the elegant marble staircase! Very helpful and friendly staff. Stern doorman, who made you feel totally safe. No unwanted elements would pass by him.
Ideal location. Lovely building. Everything spotlessly clean. Excellent choice at breakfast.
Front desk staff rather stiff and formal.
Distance of room, although bearable.
Location: It is the probably one of the best spots to go any where in Rome via walking or public transportation. The bus stop is just in front of the hotel and subway is 100m. Breakfast: Rich open buffet. Very good vs European standards. Room: They have bidet in bathroom.
Wi-fi: Very poor in rooms. It is convenient only for simple search, mobile, e-mail. Facilities: The lobby and the saloons are impressive in size and decoration. Yet, the rooms are a bit outdated especially bathrooms.
This is a beautiful building and the room was potentially lovely.
The staff clearly has a favourite word and it is "No." When I booked, I picked an air conditioned hotel and specified upgrade room with two twin beds; when I arrived it was a double bed. When I asked for the change - "No." The room was stuffy so I tried to turn on the AC. It didn't work so I asked to have it fixed, the answer was "No". Later we discovered that the radiator in the bathroom was one, so we asked to have that turned off. The answer was "Yes", but despite asking three times, they never did turn it off (so a de facto "No"). I asked to change a large bill into smaller bills, "No"; I asked about stamps, "No". The last day, we discovered that a week's worth of prescriptions (stored in a bedside table) for the duration of our stay was infested with ants and had to be flush down the toilet. This was rather upsetting and caused a delay in packing. I went down to the breakfast we'd paid for, put two cornetti and a yogurt on a plate to take back to the room to eat while packing. The hostess said "No" and that was just one "No" too many.
I appreciate thr personal wake up call at 6:00 AM eachmorning by one of the bell boys. I am hard of hearing so I do not hear the phone wake up call. I I was glad a bell boy would knock on my door and even come into the room to wake ,me up.
Very small room, poor air conditioning, old furniture. Needs renovation.
I liked the hotel because of its location. You can literally walk to all the sites in the centre. The room was pleasant and we had a view of the garden, which was a lovely area to have breakfast in.
The couple we went with asked to be moved because of the noise in their room and the staff couldn't be bothered to relocate them. Breakfast was shambolic and needs addressing. Overall though we would stay here again because of the location and value for money.
Big hotel with a great location, especially if you're going to Rome Oera house, as tooth buildings are connected by a tunnel. Close to everything. Good value for money. There was a funny smell in our room in the 2nd night (like white spirit/chemicals) so we called reception & they moved us to another room. They upgraded us to a amazing suite which was out of this world. Really beautiful, with a massive bathroom with jacuzzi!
Staff at front desk a little slow/unattentive. Breakfast was average buffet and lots of older people 65+ in tour groups.
Restaurant (dinner) and breakfast were great. Room was very comfortable
Concierge could have been a bit more helpful.
Lovely room, spacious, well equipped and loads of old world charm.
Bar closed early and would not allow own beverages in the lounge area
location, rooms and historical aspects and style
Breakfast was a bit basic for a 4 star hotel....machine coffee was poor and croissants, fruit, juices etc could have been improved
Professional, yet friendly and helpful staff.
Breakfast buffet selection and quality was excellent. Hotel was very clean, and staff very polite and generally spoke English well so made it easy to ask questions and make requests. Wifi reception was also excellent and just needed to be renewed once daily for free on both our ipads.
Due to local fire regulations, no iron or tea/coffee machine available in room. It was indicated we could contact reception for more info, but it would have been nice to have complimentary tea and biscuits available in one of the common rooms. It may have been there, but we didn't see it and didn't bother to ask.
I stayed three nights at the Quirinale 57 years ago in 1957. I booked it again this year with fond memories. I was pleased and those three traveling with me thought I had made a great choice.
Finding my way between my room and the elevator. I stayed confused.
Ambience....like out of an Agatha Christie sojourn.
The hotel is centrally located. You can walk to most of the main attractions in Rome, except perhaps the Vatican as that is a bit far. The room itself was spacious and the bathroom was clean and nice. Good breakfast.
The bed was far too soft and uncomfortable. The water pressure in the shower is not good. The staff were friendly but not very helpful. At times it was raining very hard and the doorman didn't even bother to help open taxi doors, or help with umbrella or anything like that. When we called to reception for assistance with wifi the phone just rang and rang and no one picked up the line.
Loved the lovely old traditional look about this Hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff The rooms very immaculate and the bathroom was very well presented. I had requested a "quiet" room and true to their word that is what we got. The breakfast was very good and as it was buffet style there was something for everyones taste. There are two lifts but be sure to check out the old style lift o the left of reception its really something else. Its ideal for Temni Staion and there is even a metro just around the corner as well called Repullica. . Lots of shops right on the doorstep. Wonderful Hotel
There is some law that does not permit a kettle or a iron in the rooms .
Close to all amenities and most of the staff was very helpful and pleasant (but not everyone). Breakfast was quite good as well.
Room was not as clean as it should have been - there was a thick layer of dust on the walls and the fridge had stains and dirt from spills that were never wiped. However when we pointed this out staff was immediately dispatched to clean everything so that was good.
The feel of the hotel! It is grand and sedate and calming! The room (5th floor as the back with not just a balcony but a whole patio!) fabulously comfy bed! The restaurant staff were efficient and good humoured
The reception department seems austere and old fashioned. We had a problem on our bill regarding airport transfers being double charged and although this was sorted out, there was no apology - just stern faces as we were presented with the amended invoice. I felt uncomfortable having quite justafiably having raised it! A little customer service training here to be more like the restaurant staff wouldn't go amiss!
