Hotel Raphael – Relais & Châteaux    

Perfectly located right in the centre of Rome and within walking distance to all the major site seeing locations. It's proximity to Piazza Navona is ideal and only a stones throw away. The rooms are fairly modern but we felt they lacked a certain personal touch. The beds were extremely comfy and the bathrooms were well designed. Overall a really nice hotel in a great location.

The rooftop restaurant is perfect for views of Rome but the limited vegetarian menu was very expensive and disappointing.

The beds were the most comfortable I've slept in. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of food. Easy free computer. Wonderful roof-top terrace. The service from the front desk was excellent.

An amazing hotel. The staff are brilliant, the location perfect and the rooms fantastic. Another great experience was dinner at their restaurant. Overlooking the rooves of the neighbourhood, eating a great dinner while the sun went down was the topping on the cake.

Their staff are absolutely superb! The room was great, and the location is even better.

Beautiful hotel lobby and rooms. Breakfast buffet very complete, nicely displayed, large number of choices, buffet staff friendly, helpful and accommodating. Could also order off menu. Location was excellent for restaurants and sightseeing.

Housekeeping not thorough in cleaning nor in leaving correct number of towels. Lack of toilet paper. Ac vents rattled constantly...disturbing sleep. Toilet bowl leaking water on floor. In general, beautiful lux room with shoddy maintenance. Balcony terrace and furniture had seagull droppings as well as cigarette butts from previous guests.

Great location. All tourist sites within walking distance. Friendly and helpfull staff. Good service. Quiet and peacful in spite of a very central location.

Convenient for the atmospheric Navona Piazza and surrounding narrow and interesting streets. Easily walkable to many sights.

Dining room rather small for breakfast. Too warm.

We couldn't recommend this hotel more highly. Excellent friendly service and welcome for guests. We particularly appreciated the excellent terrace restaurant and bar where we ate three times because of the ambience. Rooms were very comfortable with hi-tech bathroom/shower fittings much appreciated by my wife.

Staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Breakfast buffet was superb. Wait staff at rooftop cafe was wonderful as was the food.

Television's cable connection was weak , and therefore the screen was green.

The location is suberb, you can't find a more perfect location in Rome. The selection and quality of the breakfast was also far better than normal in Italy.

Well, we don't like old designed hotels, but in the heart of The old city of Rome there is no alternatives. We hope the hotel will reinvent itself and become modern with a good service with a normal behavior. We can open doors ourselves and don't need a funny dressed man openong it every time. The manangement would instead consider to invest in a up-to-date booking and administration system, so the bills will be correct and the rooms are availble on arrival. They have lot of works to do instead of beeing frozen in time. They will survive because their location, and just for that we may return another day.

Was advertised with terrace and bar not opened. Ordered drinks no where to sit and enjoy them had to sit in corridor by the stairs and toilets. The main reason for choosing hotel was for roof bar it looked like it had not been used for years very disappointed with that.

Bed was fantastic; restaurant staff were great ; location was superb easy to reach anywhere on foot ; room size large ; fantastic views over Rome from rooftop terrace;

Free water in bedroom would be nice and v low cost. No "proper" tea available one morning for breakfast

Excelent location, few meters from Piazza Navona, but at the same time very quite. We have received better room than ordered, super breakfast. The best hotel we have ever stayed in Roma.

Staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. location ideal for visiting Rome sights. Room was perfect with everything one could want. Would certainly stay there again when next in Rome

Nice large rooms

The staff dropped the ball at every point of communication. First they did not respond to several emails regarding an upgrade to accommodate a 3rd guest (which I was wanting to pay for) then they failed to inform us that the restaurant we asked them to book a reservation for was closed after we paid to take a car to and from! Failed to inform all their guests that there was no way to get from the train station to the hotel due to a marathon leaving guests to walk from train station to the hotel, with luggage. They were full of excuses I.E. "we don't communicate room upgrades as to not get your hopes up" "we get hundreds of emails, we don't have the staff to reply to all" I emailed 4 times! Finally my guest opted to stay at another hotel. As far as the reservation, another excuse. &Quot;we thought you wanted directions, not a reservation" Ummm I said, "can you make a reservation for 3 at 8 and tell us how to get there? The only thing they accepted responsibility for was the lack of communication on the transportation. &Quot;we are sorry you should gave taken the underground train" How the hell would we know that? I have traveled the world and this was one of the worst hotel experiences due to the ineptitude of staff. I would not return. They bought us a sandwich and paid for a taxi to the airport. Thanks, classy finish. The rooms and housekeeping were very nice and the restaurant food was actually quite good. I will finish with that.

Nice design, super location for 1-2 days trip, very comfortable bed

In fact I got a room which was 1-2 days ago finished after renovation as a redult with strong smell. The room was replaced but with downgrade. However, I checked via Booking.com there were available other suites.

can't set room temperature individually... temperature was centrally set at 28 degrees!!! no choice but to sleep with windows open... and get the noise in... don't get why this has to be like that...

Perfect situation in Rome. Large and quiet room. Very good staff. Excellent breakfast.
