Nice modern styled hotel. Good location three stops from Termini. Not much in the way of food nearby apart from a good chinese restaurant around the corner As with a lot of hotels, walls were a little thin |

The location was very good, two blocks from metro a and five from a train station to go to Fiumicino. There were supermarkets nearby and places to eat simple foods. The place was calm too, no problems to sleep. The functionairs was fantastic, very kind and helpfull, really grade 10! |

Great location to start a trip up to the Vatican hitting all the major sites along the way. Rooms were very nice and well kept and the area was quiet. Get very good directions before you go as there are no outer indications that the building is a hotel although the wander through Rome at night was interesting. |

Mr. Mariano P. sincerely made us feel like family and we felt at home during our stay. He has made every effort to answer all our questions from the time I sent my numerous questions via email prior to our stay. He welcomed my parents and I with a smile, gave detailed instructions in English. All staff members are very helpful. The rooms are very clean with crisp white linens, strong water pressure, good room temp(has AC in summer), has mini ref, safe, comfy pillows, chairs. 20min walk to S Giovanni Laterano,25 mins to Roma Christiana bus stop, 5 mins to Metro. The breakfast buffet has many choices;groceries,Chinese restaurant, great pizza shops in 5 mins. Can store luggage if you take a side trip & come back to hotel, free Internet. It would've been nice if there was a bus stop nearby. Otherwise, the hotel met our needs. |

The location suited us as it was in a quiet area close to the centre of Rome and handy for the Metro. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room facilities were modern and clean. There was a wide choice of food for breakfast (cereals, rolls, croissants, pain au chocolate , fruit, cheese, ham, fruit salad, yoghurt etc.) |

very large room. Pleasant, modern decor...not the tacky 'luxury' look most Rome hotels seem to go for! Friendly, helpful staff. Metro station 1 minute walk so easy enough to get to most sights If you want a hotel within walking distance of Rome's main sights this hotel isn't for you |

It was more or less what I expected based on the guest reviews on Booking.com. The location is not in the historical centre but the subway is very close and some ancient sites are even within walking distance for someone prepared to walk a lot. This is a matter-of-fact three-star hotel with no particular fault or extra charm. The decor is carefully designed and harmonious, although, not exactly what I would call cozy but we knew that before making the booking. It seemed safer to choose this minimal style to some warmer looking hotel that turns out shabby in the end. I was missing some rugs in the room, though, but the bare wooden floor is part of the design, I guess. We got the corner room with the balcony what we had particularly asked for in an e-mail. The bed was wonderful, the orthopedic pillows and mattresses came in very well after the days of walking. The breakfast was decent although not very creative; oh well, those hotel breakfasts… We could not find English speaking channels on the TV but this might have been our fault as we did not try the other remote control that was also in the room. The bathroom was clean, spacious and well equipped. All in all, this hotel was a very good choice and really good value for the money, especially for the price we have managed to get it for. Just one thing that could have been solved in some better style. I happened to get a bunch of flowers delivered to the hotel for my birthday. Instead of placing it in the room while we were away the receptionist called us to go downstairs to pick it up when we got back. He did not offer a vase or anything to put it in so we had to use one of the plastic cups from the bathroom for the water which was not too stabile. Next day I hoped the cleaning staff would realize it and give us a more appropriate jug but it did not happen either. We did not complain for this, of course, but I think a professional hotel staff would use an occasion like this to show a little more care than just handing out the keys. It would not have cost them anything. |

Very modern and clean hotel. Excellent breakfast. Hotel well situated for 10 minute metro ride into heart of Rome If you are a light sleeper then take ear plugs. Thin walls and wooden floors make an unfortunate combination. Alternately drink plenty of wine! |

The best thing about the "Hotel Re di Roma" is the service of the owner and staff - they are great. Mariano clearly takes great pride in his hotel, and it shows in the way guests are treated. The hotel is modern, comfortable, well priced, located in the "real Rome" close to public transport with a Metro station just at the end of the street. Local shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance. The beakfast is good and the rooms are well sized (we stayed twice, in different rooms), spotlessly clean, well-serviced and with comfortable beds. The locality is quiet, and we felt very safe in the area at night. We strongly recommended this hotel. There was nothing we disliked about the hotel at all. It's not in the city centre, but the price reflects that, and we were aware of the location when we booked. In fact it gave us a view of Roman life which we really appreciated ( except the ubiquitous grafitti - just ignore it ! ) |
