Location - bedroom was great
Bathroom a bit too small but adequate. A cereal or yoghurt for breakfast would have added value. Most guests did not eat the white bread roll.
The bathrooms are disgustings, at one time the hotel run out of water and the personal didn't bother in tell us
Great location, walking distance from main train station and the dom, and the ufizi
Shared bathroom very small, toilet pretty much in the shower.
Secure parking just around 200m from the hotel - convenient considering the location.
Nice location, nice price
Clean bathroom, but very old
Nothing is good in this hotel except its location. The staff are rude and not friendly at all. I arrived in the place 30 min earlier and they didn't even let me stay in the lobby ! Then I came back the exact time of check in and they told me to wait an extral 30 min. The next day when I came to the hotel, they changed my room to an even worse room!
Rude staff, rooms are not like the one in the pictures, they change my room next day to a worse room.
Location and friendly service, the receptionist was helpful in pointing out local attractions and culture plus the rooms were air conditioned.
Next to the center and to some important atractions. Close to the train station. Internet in the room, since we were above the reception. If you just want a place close to the city centre of Florence and a place to sleep it is perfect.
In the morning, the market starts to get settled too early, and there is noise. Hard to find reception, since it is "shared" with Hotel la Noce. There is no tub or shower place, the shower is on the bathroom floor. Temperature of the shower was not constant.
The location is great - in the heart of historical Florence, two steps to San Lorenz and Doumo! Good value of money for 1-2 days.
There is no breakfast. The WC and showers are not in the room, but there is no queue.
location, clean rooms, nice breakfast
lack of air conditioning
- Price - non-stop check in - free wifi - There is parking possibility - location for sightseeing
- shared bath room - shared wc - no air cond. - wifi is only in the reception - expensive parking fee (23 Euro/day)
Location was ok
Everything else was absolutely disgusting. The toilet did not have a toilet seat. It looked like nothing had been cleaned for a while. We checked out after the first night because we couldn't stay there. I met the owner three times and every single time he was arguing with another guest, by far the rudest man I've ever met.
Cheap hotel on walking distance to the city center (Duomo etc.). Nice cheap restaurants just in front of the hotel.
one of the shared shower doors could not be locked. As a result the whole floor had to share one shower and toilet.
the only good thing about The Regina is the location
It is difficult to find It is a Hostel not a hotel The bathroom facilities were bad and not especially clean
Little friendly staff. Don't have a luggage storage service and want no part of it.
The location is amazing
The rooms are old. The bathrooms have been renewed but they are not comfortable (very little showers, not even a stool to put your stuff like the deodorant, the WC was right next to the wall -like 3 inches of separation not exagerating-). In addition to this, the hotel is also a hostal, so there is a shared bathroom in the middle of the aisle and sometimes people leave the door open therefore the smell is not nice. The staff is not rude, but they are not kind either. Mostly they dont speak to you unless it is necessary. We arrived at night with a car and we were lost in the limited traffic area so we called the hotel and the instructions to arrive were very exasperating. We had breakfast included and we got to this small place where there is a bar and 5 people sit next to each other (dont expect to see 2 or 3 familys having breakfast cause they dont fit in there) and we received a tray with our breakfast sometimes without a good morning (this is not a big deal for me, but since they asked about the staff...)
Great location and the staff was very kind
Hotel Regina has a very inpleasant smell in the hall. Bathroom was very small and old, taking a shower wasn't great as it uses to be. In one bathroom you couldn't even close the door. The rooms looked very old and the beds were too hard to sleep on. The price was way too high for this hotel
sometimes the staff is helpful
the location is not so good, far away from the Arno river. the room is kind of dirty with a poor broken shower. the breakfast is not tasty but dirty i think. and the address is not so easy to find.
Very limited Wi-Fi connectivity, only after midnight and only in public place (reception) !?
- prime location - easy to find - affordable - seemed secure
- hotel staff were angry when we didn't hand our key in before going out for the evening even though we were not instructed to do so
Staff is not friendly. Room is dark without window. Everything is unsatistify :(
Got a room in Hotel Noce which apparently also is a part of Regina. A double room similar to a cupboard - claustrophobic and dark. A small window facing the shaft without the possibility of alternative ventilation. No air conditioning. Deafening noise from air-con machines located just outside the window all night. Not possible to get a room like the one we booked after looking at pictures on the Hotel Website. We were offered an alternatively double room, another very small room with shared toilet on the corridor. Decided to check out after one night, had to pay for two. Can not recommend this hotel. Your money are better spend in other places!
Location, location, location. Central Market is literally at the doorstep. Great choice of restaurant within steps of the hotel. Train station is easy 5 minute walk away, as are the Cathedral, Old Palace and Ponte Vecchio. Cannot be better!
You have top lug your suitcases up one flight of stairs before you can use an elevator. The elevator accomodates only one person & one suitcase at a time. Building has "charm" yes; but the toilet and shower are separated from your room only by folding doors (ours were off their tracks) and offer little privacy. You are probably better off getting a room without WC and using the several shared toilets that are out in the hallway. In our room, a previous guest had gone on a mosquito-hunting rampage and there were many bits of squashed mosquitos all over the wall and the staff had not done anything about it (who knows for how long?) I'd like to recommend the place because you cannot beat the location, and you probably have to spend a good deal more to get something better in Florence...but it was just a little bit too much "character" for our taste.
Location in historic area of Florence and near train station.
Second floor location. No lift to first level. No one to help with bags. Staff complained about leaving bags after checkout for later pickup.
