Hotel Regina  

Room was very spacious especially for a European city, beds comfortable, staff was very helpful. Dinner recommendation was just a few doors down and had excellent Florentine Steak. Appreciated directions of how to walk to the train station to catch the airport bus. Location can't be beat - walk to all the major sites. It took us under 10 minutes to walk to the museum housing David and about 5 minutes to walk to the Duomo. Included adequate but not memorable breakfast.

The shower in the bathroom in our room didn't have a basin so even with the curtain closed, water goes all over the bathroom floor. Make sure everyone has used the sink and toilet before taking your shower! The lift starts a level above the street entrance (one level below reception - the entrance is level -1, the lift starts on level 0, reception is on 1, and some rooms are on 2. Not a problem once our luggage was up but was a pain with heavy suitcases.

not far away from train sation and sight spots, but not easy to find. staff is nice and one of them friendly give us advice about how to view the city,very helpful.

Located in the heart of Historic Florence. Close to all attractions. You only need a map and start walking the historic district. Attractions start as soon as you walk out of the door. Even the Duomo is 5-10 minutes walk. Minutes to Central Train Station (SMN) and Bus Station if you want to explore other towns and cities. Busy location near Mercato Centrale and the street market but the street is quiet and rooms are quiet at night. Restaurants, coffe shops, pastry shops, everything is around the corner. Staff is very friendly, helpful, accomodating and knowledgeable. 24/7. The owner is there in the morning. Great guy. The room was big enough for us and our 3yr old daughter. Bathroom, shower. Clean. Building has character. Nice old apartment building converted to Hotel. Breakfast was good for us. Nice selection of coffees. I read some people complain about this hotel or others. You do not go to Florence to enjoy a nice stay at a 5 star hotel. You go to Florence to enjoy Florence and you need a place to stay, convenient, comfortable and safe. Hotel Regina was all I needed to enjoy my vacation. I dont know if I would have chosen anything better. I thank Fabrizio and all the staff of Regina

The room had no TV. Personally I do not care, but would have been nice

I reserved a double room, but it turned out to be a twin room. This hotel is the worst in the my whole journey.

Location. quite near the station and main cathedral. Staff are nice except only one is rude.

The breakfast can not be provided earlier.

1. Not bad location - 7 minutes from central station, 10 minutes from Duomo, 1 minute from market square 2. Wi-fi is good, but only in hall 3. Staff is helpful, but a lit bit annoying, especially if you are a young girl :) 4. Breakfast is in portions, normal, Italian-style: cornetto, coffee, butter, jam, nutella, soft cheese

1. Very cold! Staff made the heating on maximum, but it doen`t work... &Quot;Climat-system" is only a hole in the wall :) 2. Not new rooms - they have cracks in the wall. Small. 3. Annoying male staff especially for girls

Staff, worst staff I have ever seen in a hotel. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Avoid this hotel.

The staff was friendly and willing to offer assistance in arranging excursions. The rooms and bathrooms were neat and clean. The location is excellent in the north part of the center of the city with restaurants and markets right outside.

We were not impressed at all - some of the staff were rude and one in particular was most unhelpful and unwelcoming. There was no shower curtain in the shared bathroom which meant the toilet paper and dry clothes/towels etc got wet while showering, especially as there was only one rail on which to hang things right next to shower head! We walked the 3m to the bathroom in our towels so as not to get our dry clothes wet while showering and were told off by a staff member to put clothes on to walk in the corridor. The toilet paper and shampoo sachets were not replaced when empty unless requested, and the bathroom window was so black with dirt that you couldn't see through it. Heavy banging and construction work in the hotel above started at 7am both mornings we were there - not a pleasant alarm clock! Surely there could be an agreement made with the hotel above that construction work can not start until 10am? We had booked a double/twin room and unfortunately the twin beds were head to head with no room at all to push the beds together. A disappointing hotel stay in beautiful Florence!

It was a disappointment when I see bathroom was outside the room because I made a reservation through booking.com room with "private bathroom". They told us that this bathroom is only for our room but also we saw that the guy who stays at reception desk is using too and probably everyone. So I don't think I will stay there again.

Good location, 5 minutes walk from Plazza Duomo with Santa Maria De'l Fiore Cathedral. Lot of cafes and food supermarket near. Room was clean and cosy. Great value for money.

Be ready to get up at about 8 in the morning together with bell ding- dongs in the church located near.

Bathroom and general feel of maintenance to be lacking. I do see the staff trying their best.! Friendly and trying to make best of facility.

The rooms were clean and comfortable and we were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a room with an air-conditioner.

The location is close to center of firenze.

This hotel is good for backpacker.they didn't clean the room when we arrived there. And facility was bad. Breakfast was not good.

Breakfast and hotel staff were quite good when it is compared to prices.

Even it is very close to city center and important places for visiting,it was a bit hard to find location.
