The staff is amazing, the guys are nice and gentle and the girls are beautiful and really kind. Great position, 50 mt near the bus stops for the airport and via Etnea (in 5 minutes to the Duomo square)
The staff was really great. They are very assertive, very nice persons trying to make your journey really nice. My luggage was lost by Alitalia and delivered only on the last day of my journey. The staff helped with airport contact and they even offered me a bottle of champagne, to cheer me up :) I was really positively surprised! Good location, on the corner with via Etnea, at 5 minutes walking distance from downtown. Nice balcony. Almost forgot, excellent breakfast by Catania standards. I mean not only a coffee and a croissant, but a buffet breakfast with omelets, ham, cheese, milk, yogurts, cakes and so one...
The hotel is located at the 4th floor of an old building, so it is not a hotel by a regular definition as you would expect. It is quite cold inside the rooms, and quite a lot of noise from the street (via Etnea, especially in the morning when traffic starts, but not by night) even if you close both doors/windows at the terrace. the double bed has actually 2 X 1 person matrasses, which is really uncomfortable, because they always slide away. The bathroom had an improvisation pump for evacuating the water from sink, shower and toilet, but no problems with that, I mean it functioned.
the site was convinient which located in the centre of the city
the breakfast was less anticipated, the staff was too busy to handle with guests to forget adding meat/salami to the others. There was always a smelly and noisy machine in the bathroom, it really should be improved.
almost everything except one thing
the bed, wasn't a large bed, was 2 single beds united and was very uncomfortable
Location. Good bed.
Noise from the street.
location - near via etnea( bus 457 connection with the airport ) , clean sheets , good breakfast- mediteranean style
it's not a hotel , just few rooms at 4th floor of a buildings...no wc toilet cover- the manager told us that it was crashed..but no one fix this embarrasing situation ; no glasses in the room, just 1 coffee/tea cup ; furnitures need a rapid refurbishment ; poor wifi signal
Cloused to centre, big room, nice staff (Danielle), good view from ballcony, safety parking place in garden
Noisy room, heavy traffic on the street, poor breakfast but enough tonstart your morning
The staff were very helpful. It was great value and close to walk to a lot of the sights nearby. They had lots of pamphlets on tours and sightseeing available. The breakfast was very good.
It was a bit difficult to find.
we liked everything, good staff very helpful and very clean hotel.
Breakfast had to be a little better.
Friendly/helpful staff Genuine Italian experience
Lack of easy access parking
Very nice staff
Access to the hotel building /floor difficult to find
Location is excellent. Friendly helpful staff. Brekfast is Ok. Very comfortable beds and spacious rooms.
Location, situated in an art deco building, occupying two floors, nice view
Breakfast could be better
Good location, next to the main street Via Etnea. Clean room, good wifi, friendly and helpful staff. Very good buffet breakfast with sweet and savoury food: ham, salami, cheese, coffee, juice, pastries, toast, fruit, milk, youghourt, etc Hotel staff offeres us the only available private parking spot for an additional price, very convenient since that allowed us to avoid finding a parking space in the centre and paying at the parking meter.
Driving in the neighbourhood is a challenge.
The stuff was helpfull and friendly
You can here everything that happen on the floor. Bathroom needed improve
The room was very small. In 5 minutes after we arrived we had to kill 2 bugs on the floor. The bathroom didn`t seem to be cleaned properly. The can of garbage was almost full, so it wasn`t cleaned before our arrival. The breakfast is very poor and after the experience from the room, we didn`t have the courage to eat anything but only packaged stuff (like jam and nutella). We arrived at the hotel in the evening, the entrance is extremely horror, it`s not like you are going in a hotel, it`s like going in a torture building, and the scale in the building where the hotel is located doesn`t have any light and the elevator is the most terrifying elevator I had to experience in my life. The staff is friendly, but it`s not enough to cover the dirtiest hotel I stayed in my life. The city of Catania is the same like the hotel, awful. I don`t recommend this to you at all !!!
very good value for money. staff is extremely friendly and helpful. cute little hotel in a huge palazzo. good location, historic city centre is only a 10 minute walk away and just 3 minutes around the corner there is a great pizzeria with terrace that came recommended by the staff.
Very big rooms and toilettes. New furniture, located in an old historic building. Helpfull staff.
Not that easy to find (check to have the address with you!!!) Hot because located on the top floors- though Air conditioning is available.
- Kind staff - Quiet and still fairly centre - Big room with a balcony
- It is not actually a stand-alone hotel but a floor of a block of flats - Breakfast is rather poor, melon gone by the time we arrived, "bread" is only toast bread, milk got warm and the processed meat a bit dry towards the end of breakfast time
Good staff. Good room. okay bed. good shower.
Old, dirty, uncomfortable
Location - although our room was a bit noisier than our friends but cannot be helped when you are in the middle of such a big city.
Lift was rather erratic although fairly normal for Italy! A kettle was listed for our room but we had to ask for it and then that was it. A kettle but nothing with it. Managed to borrow a couple of cups and we had some teabags/coffee with us so we managed. Don't turn left when you leave the hotel and head down to the harbour which is revolting and filthy and quite threatening on the way. Go to the streets near the Duomo as there are some good places to eat there. There is a square near there with entertainment most nights (boxing and football when we were there) and nice restaurants just off of the square.
Beautiful hotel in a tradicional building in the main area of Catania, wonderful breakfast, the room was very nice and clean.
Our second stay in a week. The location is excellent and the staff are ever so helpful and friendly - they do their best to make you feel at home. My thanks go especially to Vincenzo and Daniele - grazie per tutto ed arrivederci...
very helpful, friendly, service-minded staff; clean and spacious room; very good shower and bathroom
poor breakfast, absence of safety deposit boxes in rooms
