The view, the location, the design, the hotels piano bar ,the location of the breakfast buffet with the view ,the gardens, and the best of all the price!!!!!

The location, the view, the village, the room was clean, parking is free.

This hotel has seen better days, everything feels dated, internet is expensive, breakfast is average, the "gastronimic" restaurant is simply not good, sound isolation of the rooms is bad.

The staff were all very friendly the staff on reception were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The young lady in the bar also deserves a mention as she was superb at her job.

Fine detail to things like missing light bulbs and the workings of the bath and shower.

After standing waiting (which was understandable) she began dealing with me than ignored us for five minutes to take the phone.

I liked the SPA area - absolutely fantastic design as well as professional and friendly staff! The location of the hotel was very convenient, 10 minutes on foot from the railway station (Stresa) and close to the see.

A bit too old inside, with very few sockets in the room. Internet was not free of charge (what one would expect from a 4-star hotel): 30 min. cost 5 EUR, which is too much!..

Rooms were lovely. Staff super friendly and helpful. Indoor swimming pool amazing. Lake view wonderful. Loved it.

An excellent buffet breakfast in impressive period dining room. High standard of cleanliness. Well located close to Stresa old town & ferry station.

Garden room although adequate was small & dark. If it rains be ready for the water splash on tiled terrace front of main entrance. Pool bar closed & renovation work throughout our stay.

Everything. It has been the best hotel on our tour.

Slice of by-gone era

Very stylish luxury hotel. Very nice facilities (e.g. pool) and art nouveau decor. Close to railway station and bus stop to Malpensa, lots of restaurants in town centre, fabulous location on lakeside.

Restaurant a bit snooty/ slow/ pricey, but it was a luxury hotel so maybe to be expected. Would like kettle/ tea/ coffee facilities in room. Would like tomatoes with breakfast please!

Gorgeous palace hotel in the best tradition of luxury hotels. Perfect decoration and colour harmony, in particular the main lobby is spectacular. Beautiful bedroom with a fantastic lake view and the Borromees islands, overlooking a beautiful front garden. Very comfortable and harmonious room. Very good breakfast. Excellent and free garage, very spacious.

Dinner is good and in a fabulous dining room but price is overrated! Portions are small and really, it is not worth the value. Better to go to the city and have dinner in town.

It was very grand and you felt like you were staying in four star luxury. Most of the guests were older and therefore wouldn't recommend it for families. The pool area was lovely and sun beds were always available with use of hotel beach towels each day

Small rooms, two small lifts -very old and often malfunctioning Imagine yourself with the luggage just arrived and you will see the problem Staff at the reception- difficult to get their attention

Cosy interiors but rather nice then pressing :) looks like Versailles :)

Unfriendly personnel, to get anything you have to wait and push all the time. Please refrain from using laundry/dry cleaning - the clothes can be unexpectedly damages as it seems that the staff doesn't pay attention to the clothes requirements.
