The hotel was clean, and the view from our hotel window was scenic. The restaurant staff were exceptional, the buffet delicious, and the panoramic view from the restaurant was idyllic.
The hotel was quite a distance from the train station. They did offer pickup service which helped, but the cost was $100 Euros.
A very comfortable hotel in a quiet location, where guests are made to feel most welcome by the wonderful Giuseppe. (He even sang "Happy Birthday" to me!) His passion for the area and his wealth of local knowledge enriched our stay there. The view across the bay to Vesuvio is unforgettable.
Excellent breakfast, great view, awesome location. It was about a 15 min walk from the bus and train station, not too difficult with bags. Very safe streets. 5 minute walk to the port. Makes for a great spot to make day trips to Positano, Pompeii, and Capri. Very helpful and attentive staff. We really enjoyed our stay!
Queen bed was two doubles pushed together, but overall was still very comfortable.
views of mt vesuvio two balconies great room comfortable bed
the limoncello at the bar
Gennaro (the GM of the property) really puts the heart into his profession being a host. A warm welcome and always there for our needs. Giuseppe (waiter breakfast and dinner) knows you and your breakfast wishes from second day on. Luigi really ddoes a wondeful barjob. Mario handels the rececption without any stress and always with a smile. Will definitely return to Hotel Regina. Why try anything else when you had a perfect stay?!
Joseph greated us warmly every morning at breakfast like we were long lost family. Breakfast was great with a high end selection of food and an amazing view. The hotel has a great location and the staff were great.
The beds were a bit hard.
The location was excellent. The views from the dining room and roof top bar were superb. The staff were outstanding they couldn't do enough for you.
The only complaint was it could be a little noisy caused by traffic outside.
Staff is helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is fantastic and the view is beautiful. Also location is excellent, you'll go to the port or piazza tasso with 5 min walk.
Easy walk to main centre. Friendly helpful staff. Wifi out in whole town due to VIP in town? ! A bit inconvenient. Nice simple breakfast in pleasant courtyard.
All good .
The location was great. The staff was wonderful. They were very helpful and nice. Loved this place!!!
Lovely views from our room Excellent breakfasts whilst enjoying the view across the bay Fantastic staff all round
We had a wonderful room with two balconies. The view was perfect with the bay and mount vesuvius in sight. Top floor breakfast area with great food and view. We had to leave early on final day so they packed us a breakfast to go.
Location Staff Breakfast
location, close proximity to the centre of Sorrento as well as being a little faraway from the crowds.
Staff there are very professional, room is also good. The most amazing part is the first day we woke up, went upstairs to take breakfast. The very moment you saw the sea, amazing! you'll return here for sure.
amazing views, staff extremely helpful and courteous, breakfast variety and quality outstanding
Breakfast is fantastic and the view is beautiful
Room and bathroom are outdated n not too clean. I was staying at a single room
Excellent sea views. Short walk to Marina And excellent restaurants. Staff very helpful to book day trips.
Poor Wifi service.
The management allowed large groups of teavel lords for a couple of nights and the were noisy on departure
Very friendly stuff. Good location - walking distance from the main streets
We got the ground floor suite. The entrance is from the lobby by the bar !! No privacy !! We asked specifically for a quit room with no trafic noises.... We got this room on the street with loud trafic noises which made it impossible to sleep. When spoke with the manager it seems that he doesn't really care about customer's requiests.
Loved the privacy, the comfort, excellent concierge and no worries about dealing with car parking.
Wifi was constantly disconnecting. My only negative.
Aesthetically the hotel and its rooms look very nice. It is modern with a small pool and what could be a nice outdoor area. The balcony with views of the sea and Mount Vesuvius was also very nice but we did pay a premium for this benefit. The breakfast was also very good for an Italian hotel.
We had quite a few issues whilst in the hotel. We had a 3rd floor sea view room which was effectively double the price of a non-sea view room. As said the room looked very pleasant and the view great, HOWEVER the problem was directly above us was the bar which doubled as a breakfast area. No real issues from bar noise (I think it closed at 11am) however the substantial amount of noise from staff preparing the room for breakfast (scraping tables/chairs across floors) meant I was awoken both mornings by this at 5:30am and never got back to sleep. Another problem was the walls of the room were paper thin so you could literally hear all conversations from the neighbouring room. My final issue was that there seemed to be an infestation of ants in the room, everywhere we looked there was an ant climbing a wall or walking on the side of the bath. I presume these also got in the bed as I ended up with 17 ant bites which a week after leaving are only now starting to go.
This hotel is fantastic! The staff and service is impeccable. Location perfect. Rooms clean and new. Breakfast is a huge buffet! View from breakfast incredible! As you can tell we were very happy with this hotel and highly recommend it.
Breakfast was the best, and the view from the whole room on the 4th floor is stunning. My room was lovely.
Nothing. Except the very very noisy group at 6.30 a. m, total lack of consideration for those who like to sleep longer. Not the hotel's fault though. Mind you perhaps a sign in rooms asking for consideration of others when moving about so early. I might suggest avoiding staying on the third floor as the dining room is on the 4th and all noises- dragging chairs etc-can be heard. Thin walls seem to be the norm in Italian hotels. Had difficulty initially finding the hotel, there was a more direct from the station than what I received, then it was easy.
