The rooms were clean and the owner was very friendly and helpful. The location was outstanding. We had trouble with the water temperature in the shower... turned from hot to cold during your shower. |

This is a perfect location for shopping and absorbing the culture in Florence. We loved our stay here. Anna is very friendly and helpful. We felt welcome. Our room was quaint and beautifully decorated. There is a common, self-serve, "dining room" where guests can have coffee, tea, cakes, cookies etc. There are also helpful travel books available. We look forward to returning. |

Central location for walking to sites. Had a window overlooking Mercato Nuovo, outdoor market, gave the essence of Florence. Simple but very nice rooms. Had wireless setup but a little spotty at times. |

It was by far the best hotel we stayed at in Italy. The location is fabulous right in the middle of Florence. The owner Francesca was so helpful with a detailed map of sights, restaurants, supermarkets etc. The breakfast area was lovely with plenty of snacks, and the decor in the large room was florentine, very appropriate. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Florence. The was nothing we didn't like. |

Friendly staff, great location, clean and spacious rooms. The 21 stairs to get to the elevator was a bit difficult for my elderly mother. |

Building is ancient, but we found it charming especially they way they've decorated it. Can't beat the location - 10 min walk to station (if you don't get lost), right by the pedestrian area, 2 min walk to piazza republica/uffizi and 5 min. to Duomo. Very relaxed atmosphere with full access to kitchen facilities and helpful staff (we were given a map on which the hostess had marked out relevant items with explanatory notes which was very helpful) |

The location, the friendliness, the opportunity to be quite self sufficient. It was very clean and well kept. I liked the communal kitchen area. The number of keys (5) was a little confusing - front door, lift, residence door, room door and lighting. However once you got the hang of it it was ok.. |

The location was excellent. Easy to walk to all major sites. The staff was very helpful and worked to answer all of our queries. The nearby market ( on the block behind the hotel ) makes quite a bit of noise in the morning setting up thier booths, but we weren't in Florence to waste tome sleeping and were awake at the time. |

The location of the place was excellent right in the middle of the city of Florence with the Uffizi, Piazza della Signoria and Ponte Vechio only minutes away by foot. The street was very quiet all during the day and night. The room was comfortable, clean and with a great view. Francesca was adorable and always helpful and polite. I would definitely recommend the hotel to everyone looking for something affordable in Florence and in the centre of the action. I for once already know where I will be staying next time I come to Florence. Grazie Francesca for a wonderful time!!! Ciao!!! Maybe the fact that there are no catering services is the only minus. |

When I booked this hotel I couldn't expect that it would be so nice. You can feel yourself there like at home, you even have you own keys, and it seems as you are sitizen of Florence. Rooms are big, quiet, cosy; location is very convenient, directly in the center. Owners of this hotel are very friendly, helpful. So, if I come back to Florence, I would like to stay in this home again. |

The location is right in the center of historical city. The personal is well prepared to introduce you to the main attractions and the places you need to visit in the city. It has a kitchen as in many north American hotels, but that is very rare if ever in European hotels. At least, you always can have a cup of tea if you are tired to go out. Very limited time for check in. |

We thought it was great. Relais Cavalcanti was in a perfect location for walking around the city. The staff were informative and very helpful. Having the use of the kitchen was a big bonus. Our room overlooked the market, which we liked. We will stay there again when we visit Florance. The lobby and stairway could do with a bit of attention. This may not have anything to do with the hotel, which was perfect. |

Location was excellent, friendly staff. Hotel was actually 10 rooms in an apartment building, so limited reception and services, but you got your own keys, and could come and go as you pleased and had privacy. Room was spacious and had air conditioning. No alarm clock or wake up call. A long set of stairs before you get to the elevator. Some additional steps after elevator - not good for people with mobility problems or big/heavy suitcases. Also, elevator stopped working one day, and I was told this was normal. Luckily, it was working again the next day, which is the day I had to check out. |
