For Italian standards, a large room. Great service by the owner; introductory tour through the building on arrival, some great suggestions to make the trip even better. The location was perfect; it is downtown in a lively area where all the high fashion brands have their shops. Great restaurants nearby. I think it is a preference, but these beds were very hard for my liking. A minor, minor downside is the lack of breakfast. It isn't a problem with all the great little bars in Florence, but if the owners manage to serve a breakfast that is as good and personal as anything else is done in the hotel, then I think it would be a great day to start the day. |

Perfect position--close to everything including the Uffizi; Francesca, the part-owner, went to great lengths to ensure we saw as much as possible during our short, even to the point of marking places of interest and nearby grocery stores on the maps she gave us. The communal kitchen is useful for preparing drinks and was well stocked with snacks. The beds were rather hard, but we soon got used to them and would definitely stay there again. |
