I liked the fact that we were staying in an old monastery. The staff were outstanding, extremely friendly especially with the kids and the food was exquisite.
I would not stay there for more than a night, simply due to the comfort of the beds nevertheless I would certainly return to the restaurant for another great meal.
The food, and our hosts, Letitia and Andrea, were excellent.
The town was quite far from Parma and not much happening....but we didn't mind too much. We needed a quiet restful place for a day!
Quality of food at dinner was excellent and we we're made to feel both very welcome and valued. The village is slightly out of the way but well worth that small inconvenience.
Nothing not to like if you want peace and quiet, great food and an old monastery to stay in.
Nice staff in a quiet town far from the big cities
The owner was delightful The environment was very pleasant with a real sense of history The food was delicious
A little tricky to find
Fabulous food, beautiful building and friendly, efficient service.
Hard to find but managed it with satnav
The building/architecture and its history. Basic but atmospheric accommodation. Staff so friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent, they cooked eggs for us. Visit to nearby Fontanellato a must. Rural location close to auto strada. Stay there for something a bit different.
Sadly the restaurant was closed for a function, but would love to return to enjoy the food at Relais Fontevivo.
Architecture and atmosphere, it was a special place to stay. Dinner was very good, served at tables in the colonnade. Breakfast buffet was uninspiring and bread poor but other options were offered - eggs, Parmesan and fabulous Parma ham!
Noisy air conditioning, bed uncomfortable and Mosquitos!
A calm monastery recycled as a hotel, surrounded by farmland in a small lovely town. Ideal place to visit the Emilia Romagna. FANTASTIC service. The restaurant is excellent.
Atmospheric Location. Excellent restaurant. Room simple but had everything we needed.
Walls are paper thin so you do hear your neighbors coughing or talking, but that's to be expected in a historic building I guess.
Lovely atmosphere, gorgeous building. Easy access to room also outside the lobby. Very quiet.
Very bad bed.
The overall experience and the quiet location. Excellent restaurant and friendly helpful staff. The building itself, being a converted monastery.
Not much. Could have done with a full length mirror in the bedroom (hence the lower mark for facilities).
