Situiated in the street right infront of amazing, ubelievable Duomo. Comfortable bed. They bring breakfast right into your room (no kitchen). Cooler in the coridor is a bit of help after running down the city.
We were met by an unpleasent not speaking any language except italian guy who gave us a key and a paper for choosing breakfast and left. The room itself is very old and not very clean (don't look under the bed), seems like they never clean the dust from some places. Awful scary blanket hundred years of old I was afraid even to touch. We had hairs in bedroom :( To resume I will never choose this b&b once again. We had a winter discount and got a room for 60 euros, but the full price is 100, which way too overpriced for such an uncozy place.
very closed to Duomo.
Noise from aisle and street (voice)
The accommodation is located in the very centre of Firenze, about 50 m. from the Duomo. The accommodation is cosy and the staff, in particular Massimiliano, is very friendly and helpful.
Location Staff is very friendly and helpful
Everything was fine
Incredible location. Delightful & exceedingly helpful hosts. Breakfast served in our room. Accommodating regarding our luggage needs. For the money we doubt we could have done better in Florence!
The location.3mins walking from the Duomo and Academia. The lady in the reception was friendly and very kind
The room was smaller than the photo.I guess claustophobic. No elevator
Very good location, right next to the Duomo. Staff very friendly. Room small but comfortable.Good value for money.
Bathroom need a face lift.
First Kyara the lady on the reception was such a great guide and lovely lade very helpful always smile and she was always available on the phone when we needed help, she give us great recommendations she helped us to book everything we wanted, she even did the work for us to find the best price for renting a vespa while we're having coffee on the bar. The location for us was perfect as the hotel was on the Dummu square. close to everything, walking distance from the central station and from all the attractions. Our room was very clean and comfort Everything was just Perfect We would definitely recommend you stay at Relais Il Campanile al Duomo. another tip : Florence is a lovely small town 2 days is enough to see everything, so if you planing for staying more days, we highly recommend you to book a tour for one day in Tuscany , giving you the option for wine tasting and learning about different type of wine and visit other towns around like San Gimignano which is highly recommended as its the most beautiful one around Florence.
The most distinctive feature for this place is location, which is really great. The staff were very helpful. Special thanks to Chiara, she is so friendly and helpful. Actually your expectations regarding the hotel depends on what you want. We booked a small room for two person. Our room has a private bathroom however really small. If you are looking for a place within the city center and close to the train station this is the right place. Rooms might not be as comfortable as you expected. However, the price is cost-effective.
Wi-fi connection was sometimes bothering. Initially it worked well, but thereafter did not. Our room was really small, however for one day it was ok for us. On the other and there are bigger rooms with more cost.
What a great place to stay for our week in Florence! Chiara was amazingly helpful with all our travel plans. Massimiliano was just wonderful, personable and charming. They did more for us than simply check us in and out. The breakfasts were basic but plentiful and conveniently served in our room, which was a real treat. The location was superb, a half block from the Duomo! Could not imagine it being better. Highly recommended!
The staff kindly gave us useful information about Florence. The room we stayed was cute and comfortable. On the morning, we could enjoy breakfast in our room(the staff kindly asked us what we would like to eat on the morning). We entirely enjoyed this trip!
The location is perfect, we walked from the train station to the B&B in 10-15 mins and you are right in the centre of everything. The B&B is on the 2nd floor of an old building (no lift) but we were given help with all our luggage which was appreciated. You are given a key to the B&B and your room. Fill out a form for breakfast which is delivered to your room when you choose. Typical continental with choice of tea/coffee/juice, cereals and a selection of croissants. The bathroom in our room was great and room really comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay here.
Clean, comfortable, great location. 2 minutes walk to Duomo. Same street as Accademia. Fine if you use a hotel as we do - to rest after a long day as no recreational facilities. Really comfy bed and continental breakfast brought to your room every morning En suite a bit cramped but perfectly serviceable. Would stay again.
Location, quiet, clean, friendly.
A stone's throw from the stunning cathedral and bell tower. Walking distances to all the sights and attractions. Comfortable and relaxing with great wifi. Breakfast served to you with cereal, pastries and rolls and a choice of cold and hot drinks. The hosts were lovely and tell you all you need to know.
Beware of little mosquitos in the Tuscany region during July and August.
Friendly staff, great location
The staff is really nice and helpful!
No elevator and the rooms are at the second and third floors.
Central location. Passionate reception staff. Ciara, one of the co-owners provided us with insider knowledge to visit local restaurants and shops. Her contribution made our stay in Florance even more enjoyable.
No negative comments.
The staff was more than helpfull. The location enabled us to visit everything that we wanted.
Very good localization for sightseeing Florence.
Bathroom not so clean. Air-condition was broken during our stay. We've got the fan instead.
It was a pleasure staying there and we would always recommend the Relais to anyone visiting Florence. Outstanding service from the staff, always amenable and helpful, excellent knowledge of the city. Great value and one block from the Duomo.
closed to doumo, quite,The kettle was boiling water, clean
Stairs were narrow and long
Great location only stops from Duomo, very friendly and helpful staff, great help with maps, bookings and local attractions. Free cold filtered water in the lobby after a long, hot day exploring the city was appreciated. Sometimes things do go wrong but what matters is how people react: they quickly fixed a blocked toilet and quickly organised a replacement breakfast when there was an order mixup.
Not really "didn't like" but just make sure you know what hours the front desk is manned so you can ask for anything you need while the staff are there.
Very expansive for what you get. air conditioner not working. They said they had a problem just in the days I was staying there, however I did not see any a/c in the room. I had to handle 35oC just with a fan. Terrible! And they did not do anything about it even after I complained. Breakfast is ok but you need to eat in the room and there is not enough space for two people, so one needs to eat in the bed; Also, it starts very late. Reception was closed even during the time they claim to be working so we did not have anyone to ask about the city and tourist places. I would not stay there again.
Excellent location, helpful staff.
