12 minute walk from Duomo; 5 min walk from Acadamia (Gallery of Fine Arts) where Michaelangello`s largest Statue of David is; 15 minutes from the Uffizi Gallery.

Breakfast room very small. All the tables were taken on the morning that we had to leave so we had breakfast in our room.

Old building, but very well redesigned. Modern minimalistic decoration. Personnel very friendly, treated us like friends. Simple but nice breakfast.

Modern, comfortable, big rooms, helpful staff, easy walk into the centre, quiet.

Breakfast was a little lacking, on the second day there were no meat or cheeses left and the bread was tough. They have a cot which was great for our 14 month old, but no high chair which made breakfast challenging

Our stay at Relais Modern was wonderful, we stayed for two weeks in a twin-room and felt right at home. The rooms are neat and comfortable, making good use of space. We had enough room even with our suitcases out. The bathroom is a good size and the large shower-head is fabulous - the best showers I have ever experienced! Good shutters to block out any light or traffic noises of the city for a good sleep on the comfortable beds. The rooms were cleaned well daily. The breakfast was nice every day, and the breakfast room is very light and comfortable. The location of Relais Modern is excellent, less than a 10 minute walk to see David at the Galleria Accademia and the Duomo. The staff looked after us very well during our stay, we were sad to say goodbye to Alberto after our two weeks there. If we are able to return to Firenze for another holiday we will definitely stay at Relais Modern again.

Location is perfect for us, it is quiet as it is situated in the residential area and yet it is close to all attractions.

Beautiful, tastefully designed, remarkably roomy and quiet, modern rooms at a 10 minutes walk from the Duomo. Young, relaxed, intelligent, helpful and genuinely friendly staff. Great value for money. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed the location of the hotel, so we were able to find our way easily to the centre and to all the interesting places. The staff were very helpful in telling us the places to visit. We did find it very warm in the room, but it is ideal for a few nights stay in Florence.The hotel was very clean.

We thought maybe some of the reception area was not used wisely.Maybe, the breakfast area could have been made larger and with more to offer, even if the price was a little more.It would have been nice if we were able to make a hot drink during the evening or early morning when no staff were available.
