Location is superb. A walk to most things. Super friendly and helpful staff. Clean, comfortable rooms.
Wi-fi didn't work in room. Bathroom was a little dark.
Perfect, remarkably quiet location for Central Rome. Bathroom a tad small but bedroom great size. Didn't mind being served breakfast in room although coffee better from cafe in street.
All worked well for us.
Staff was very helpful with tips about the city.
Wifi was not available in the room
The location is fabulous. The hotel is a few steps from a vibrant, interesting square, a delicious ice cream shop and many wonderful restaurants and bars. We loved being able to easily stroll to the Vatican, Piazza Navona and the Pantheon
Our room appeared to be above a bin cupboard which seemed to be emptied daily at 6am. This was however a minor irritation and we were generally very happy with this hotel.
The location was great! Very close to Piazza Navona. Easy to get to from Termini by bus. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was served right in your room- very convenient! The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend Relais Palazzo Taverna to others! Thank you!
The location made it. Central to all main attractions so walked to most. Right in the heart of Rome but a quiet, lovely setting close to the beautiful Piazza Navona where we ate at a different restaurant each night and enjoyed the fountains, statues and atmosphere. The hotel was clean, the room adequate and the staff friendly, helpful and polite. Good facilities. 10 minute walk to the Pantheon, 15 minutes to the Vatican, 20 minutes to the Colosseum, 20 minutes to the Spanish Steps, all easy walking with sights on the way.
The breakfast was adequate but of limited choice. e.g. there was only one type of cereal, only one small coffee, fruit juice etc. All the food was good food but a poor choice for a hotel. This is the only criticism because everything else was good.
Room was a dépendance, terrible and surrounded of airco machines -- noisy! Good proxy of being in a submarine.
Service: The staff is very friendly and helpful. One of them offered to carry our luggage up to our 3rd flood bedroom. He gave us a map of Rome upon our arrival. On our departure day, we could leave our bags at the reception and the other staff person nicely offered to book a taxi to the airport for €55. We declined just because we knew we could get a taxi a few steps away (near the Piazza Navona) for the official rate of €48. Staff was always ready to answer our questions and help us out. Location: Perfect location. Close to all main attractions. We walked to all main attractions easily. Area is beautiful and street of the hotel is charming! And even though it is pretty much the 'center' of old Rome, the streets are not as crazy crowded and loud as the area around the Piazza Navona/Pantheon. The hotel is located just a stone away from the frenzy while being located in the best possible location in Rome to visit. Wifi: Wifi was pretty weak in our bedroom because we were 'far' from the reception. If you need a faster connection, you can just go on the main level next to the reception. Room: Very decent size room and bathroom. The bed is a little hard for my liking but it was fine. I had requested a 'quiet' room and we got a room on the 3rd floor on the back side of the hotel (Room 304), the room was indeed very quiet! Could not hear any noise from the street. Cleanliness: Overall clean apart from greasy figure stains on the wardrobe door. Breakfast: Breakfast was my least favorite part of our stay at the Relais Palazzo. It is served in our bedroom at your own personal requested time (which is totally fine) but the quality of the food is very average. Coffee was terrible, orange juice was tasteless and watery, bread was okay (a bit on the dry side), pastries (or as they say 'croissants') were too sweet and mediocre in taste and hard-boiled eggs were overcooked.
Great location nearby Piazza Navone (~5mins walking). Also other significant sightseeings like Vatican, Colosseum, Campo de Fiori and Pantheon were in under 20mins walking distance. Small italian breakfast was served in to the room. I requested the time and the serving (cappucino, croisant and fruit juice) from given choices. Room was air-conditioned and clean, and the hotel and the staff were very charming. Would like to stay here again if return in Rome.
Bed was maybe little bit too hard, and there was little bit noise coming in from window, but I still slept good.
Perfect location, friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms.
Poor Wi-Fi connection in rooms, but outside it works perfect.
Scenic, good location, helpful. Wonderl
Location and very spacious rooms
Breakfast choice and location. Decor is pretty neat, too. Peter at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. A real asset
The room was extremely noisy. Every time the waiter knocked on someone's door to bring breakfast we were awakened. The street is pretty noisy, too. The shower should have a proper shower head -- water got all over the place. The WiFi was terrible
Wifi did not work and they did nothing about it. Breakfast not good. Rooms dusty not cleaned well. Btw the one guy that's making your breakfast is also cleaning your room. Case closed
Great facilities and nice vibe. Just off of a quaint walking street.
Internet was absurdly slow- essentially useless. You'll be reminded of the days of waiting for dial-up. Unacceptable.
Best location!!! Big rooms, loved the breakfast delivered to the room. Staff were very helpful.
location and atmosphere
Beds were way too hard!!!!
The staff and especially Peter and Daniel did everything to make us comfortable We arrived in the morning and Peter arranged that we'll get our rooms early. He also recommended a great restaurants and all the staff was very helpfull in how to get around Rome Breakfast was also great and we liked it was served to the room. The only two things that bothered me was the tiny bathroom and the location of the hotel which was far from public transportation when you are traveling with a young child. Nevertheless, a great hotel, I highly recommend
Tiny bath Far from local transportation
Fantastic hotel, centrally located, very clean and personable.
Location was good to all main sites. Spacious room for Rome.
The pillows were too hard. And we never got our breakfast (we asked for it to come at 7 and then left at 7:30 with no breakfast to get to the sites on time).
the location was great, rooms are very . clean and comfortable, nice breakfast we would come back!
Filthy room. (Under bed) Dirty pillow case. Skinny cheap pillows. Rough sheets. Flying insects in room and reception area. Nowhere to put soap or shampoo in shower, had to hold it the entire time. Shower head broken and only aimed at the wall, so I had to hold it the entire time. (Which was difficult while I also held the soap in my other hand!) Water didn't drain in shower, so I stood in 2 inches of water. Towel warmer didn't work. Front desk help was useless. Front desk only on staff from 7 am till 11 pm so if you need anything or need to receive an incoming call after 11 pm you're out of luck. Front desk barely spoke English. I've been to many European hotels, and EVERYWHERE the staff spoke English well. Staff barely helpful. Not rude, but very amateur. Almost seemed like a high school student working there. I checked in and they handed me the key, but offered no assistance or suggestions. He had no idea of happenings in Rome, and couldn't suggest restaurants. In all fairness, they took 30 Euro off my room each night, but I would have preferred a nice hotel. GROSS. I was so afraid I'd get bedbugs! (But I didn't.)
Location is great
They put us in the very old room at the back yard due to the room we booked occupied by other. The room was very dirty and everything we touch comes apart.
Location was excellent for walking the city, 10-20 mins from most of the major sights (eg Vatican, Trevi, Spanish Steps) and it was lovely to wander the cobbled streets on the way. Room was big for a city centre hotel. Breakfast in the room was more casual than going to a dining room. Friendly and helpful staff.
Bathroom was a bit tired. No view from the windows. Hard to reach by public transport so taxis both ways to/from the airport. Breakfast choices limited (no kitchen/dining area).
