Overview |
The historic residence Ridola was built in 1872 by architect Leonardo Ridola, brother of the Senator Domenico - a passionate archaeologist to whom the National Museum of Matera is dedicated.
This famous resort, a few metres from the historic centre, consists of 6 rooms and 2 suites. Each room offers: free internet connection 24h, minibar, the main Italian and foreign satellite TV channels and music.
The ideal temperature in every room is provided by a floor heating system. The establishment also has a private parking, garden with outdoor pool and terrace.

Travel information
The Relais Ridola is located south of the historical centre of Matera, very close to the “Sassi” and Downtown reachable in a short walk
Follow the instructions below to reach us by car:
- Either you come from north (Bari) or south (Potenza) you will drive on SS 7; take the exit "Matera sud - Ospedale"
- After driving a few kilometers you will reach Matera. (the hospital “Madonna delle Grazie” is on the right); turn left towards Viale Carlo Levi.
- Drive for 300 meters and take the second street on the right. We are on the left. Welcome.
If you come to Matera by train or coach, get off at “Matera Centro” station. You are in Piazza Matteotti. Now take the following urban buses:
Linea 8: Piazza Matteotti - Via Don Minzoni - Via Lucana (boschetto-06,25) - Via Lanera - Via Levi - Via Morelli
Circolare Sud: Piazza Matteotti - Via Don Minzoni - Via Lucana (boschetto-22,21) - Via Castello - Via A.M. di Francia - Via Levi - Via Morelli

The reception is also open from 9:00 to 13:00, in addition to being open from 16:00 to 20:00.
