Hotel Regno is 650 ft from the Trevi Fountain. Toss a coin in the fountain if you want to come back to Rome, most likely to this superior 3-star hotel.

We loved the whole Trastevere area. If I lived in Rome, I would live in the exact location of this hotel. The staff is super nice. The room is comfy and very clean. Perfect for a young couple traveling on budget! :)
The breakfast is quite small, yet it was more than enough to start the day! We had the first room on the corridor so we could hear when others enter. Yet it didn't bother us much as it was silent during night time!
New , clean smart room with amazing view at the back is best , nice and quiet Best bathroom I've ever seen in Italy .
Scary street entrance . Forget the breakfast and go down to the cafe on the corner
Friendly staff, nice room, amazing position at 3 min walk from Trastevere and 5 minute from city center. Amazing location for a nice stay in Rome for young couple, friends or short trip.
Difficult to find the location, the B&B is situated in a 70's palace. The door was not well indicated and the door bell was n't easy to find. Everything else perfect!
People who worked there very nice. View Was Nice.
Thought we were staying in a hotel not an apartment type building. Only had one set of keys. Shower too small.
We liked the location. The hotel is not fancy but it is immaculate and the beds are very comfortable and clean. We were out all day into the late evening so the room being clean and comfortable was important. Whenever we had a problem it was addressed immediately and the staff were friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast was a great touch.
We stayed in the Trastevere area along with several other friends. My husband and I stayed at Relais and our friends stayed at two other B&Bs at different buildings for similar cost. Compared to their places, ours may not have been the largest, but is was definitely the cleanest and had the nicest view. In all 3 places, breakfast was about the same (pastry and coffee), shower temperature fluctuates the same, and noise level was about the same. So we concluded that most of Trastevere was probably similar in these ways all throughout unless you want to pay a premium. For the price, I think we really lucked out with such a nice place in a really booming area. We definitely had the envy of our friends with our nice unit. Also, if you read the confirmation email carefully, it says to notify the manager of your arrival time so they will have someone at the building to give you the keys on arrival. We did this and had no problems getting the keys at 10pm at night. We definitely enjoyed our stay here. Also, I completely forgot the name of the guy who gave us our keys, but he totally rocked! He was patient and very accommodating. It was late at night and he definitely spent an extra hour or so going over the map of Rome with us. Thank you sooooo much!
We actually paid more money for actual hotel rooms in Amsterdam and Munich during our vacation, so I am actually very happy with our B&B stay at Relais.
The hotel is suited in the midst of the fantastic quarters of Trastevere. It is just to walk out the door and enter the narrow roads with its old houses and many fine genuine restaurants. You'll enjoy the Italian athmosphere and feel you are among the locals. Still it's not far to reach the Vatican state and the rest of the many torist attractions of Rome. Ask for a room NOT towards the busy street. Having a balcony is faboulus with the view towards the hill with the church. The TV is of no use with mainly some obscure channels, the kitchen could have more to ask for (no salt!) but is still OK. The bed, the WC and shower- OK. The breakfast is small but easy to complement since you have your own kitchen. We really enjoyed our 4 day stay. especially due to the suite and the closeness to Trastevere quarters, it compensate any lack whatsoever of the hotel.
Location - Trastevere is a hotbed for restaurants. Rooms were nice, ours had a balcony to enjoy breakfast from. Bathrooms were good sized and modern.
Elevator - it broke one evening, and we were locked in it. Luckily, the service company responded within a few minutes. Breakfast was so-so, would've been just as easy to stop at a pastry shop just down the street. Our shower temperature was inconsistent in our room. We both took cold showers our 2nd day - needs improvement.
We were travelling on our honeymoon, upon arrival we were greeted with a bottle of champagne, chocolates, grapes and the house keepers had made the towels as swans on our bed. Personal touches like this really left a lasting impression. The room was clean, relatively modern and the bed was comfortable. Great location so close to some fantastic restaurants and within walking distance to all of the tourist attractions.
The only thing we could fault was the pressure and temperature of the shower.
Dennis was a star and made us very welcome and kept the room immaculate. So easy to reach most of Rome and plenty of restaurants literally round the corner.
Would perhaps appreciate a room and/or a better breakfast.
Staff excellent Location excellent Clean and comfortable accommodation
Breakfast. Poor, no consideration given to people's preferences, just got a pastry each, an espresso in a plastic disposable cup and a very psychedelic sugary fruit juice. Would suggest a selection in the entrance so guests can help themselves
Holiday started well with pre arranged driver waiting for us at airport. Very friendly, helpful staff with lots of advice for getting around and orientation around Trastevere and Rome. Very comfortable room with everything we needed. Excellent location within walking distance of many of the sites and fantastic for eating out in the evening - lots of restaurants and great vibe! Definitely stay there again and recommend it to others. We in fact booked on recommendation of a friend.
Great location Good security into building, felt safe Balcony with electric shutters bathroom in room
small sheets were a bit rough noise from outside main rode
The room was noisy day and night with the trams vibrating the whole building. Advertising was misleading, there is no communal area, breakfast is not up to standard, and there are only 4 channels on the satellite TV. Too expensive for what is advertised and what one actually receives.
Room and location
No reception room.
The location for exploring Rome-Trastevere was excellent. The Trastevere area was a great place to wind down each night after exploring the touristy side of Rome. Although the main road looked a bit rough, I never felt unsafe while walking around late at night. Paolo and Dennis were very helpful and friendly. Paolo arranged our ride to the airport for us as soon as we checked in. Breakfast was outside in the "lobby" area each morning (pastries, fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee). The WiFi signal was good. Umbrellas were available to use for free. No problems with noise, but I guess that would depend on the other guests that are staying there during your time. You share a main lobby/hallway that leads to all of the rooms.
Next time I would prefer being back in the inner streets instead of the main road- Viale Trastevere. The buildings on this road are run down and don't feel like old Rome like the other streets do. Its very busy. The balcony view is pretty much non-existent considering you are on the 6th floor and surrounded by other buildings and trees. It was nice to sit out there in the morning, but the traffic below wasn't all that great to listen to.
The room itself was great, comfortable and clean and air conditioned and it was nice to have it tidied/cleaned daily. The location is great too as you can venture further to the sites during the day, and go out for the best food and drinks footsteps away in Trastevere.
The balcony was not used as much as it would have been nice to use because the street is very noisy, day and night. Also, the building is safe with keys needed for entrance into the public foyer and the Relais foyer but the key for the room itself did not lock with a bolt, only opened the door when the door was pulled shut ("locked").
Perfect place to stay if you love the "real" Romans. Trastevere is the place to be in Rome and within a walk of 5 minutes you are in the middle of various Piazzas with Bars and Restaurants. The flat is perfect and very silence!
Trastevere location is good. Transportation to train station and Piazza Venezia good. Less so to other places.Rooms are new and very clean
Drab apartment building, on a main street and not on a charming alley typical of the area. Small rooms with no real place to have your breakfast. Breakfast was fruit (rather stale), a low quality cake, espresso from a faulty machine... You have to choose between noise from the street in which a tram passes frequently and noise from the elevator in a room facing an inner, rather drab court ("city view"). No reception or staff most of the day is a drawback. This is neither a hotel nor an apartment. But at least your room gets cleaned every day, and the place is spotless.
Only the 4people suite with view over janiculum is worth the money. The location was good. Perfect for 2 or 4 people BUT only when you book the most expensive room. Not suited for 4 nights.
The rooms are in really old dirty apartment building, the rooms are located on the 6e floor and it's an old apartment devided in 4 rooms, 3 street view ,1 janiculumhill view ( very nice) the breakfast is served on a tray in het apartments corridor ,you can hear other people using the bathroom and in the hallway picking up their breakfast. The apartment is located in viale trastevere ,a very busy street and even on the 6e floor a lot of streetnoice during nights, nothing done that keeps noises away from other guest and street. There is only one elevator for the use of all the other people who live in this building, people living there are not happy with tourists !
The safe was very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the shower had wonderful pressure.
We were under the impression that the Relais would be a little more bed and breakfasty, but it felt a little bit like a guest house with private rooms. While the rooms were quiet from outside noise, it was a bit noisy at times inside. We could hear neighbors and people coming in and out.
location of hotel very very friendly and helpfull staff ! clean room beautifull view from balcony surpise from the staff due to our honneymoon!
people talking in the corridor was like the were inside the room
nice place, close to the centre and the area with restaurants and bars.
Trastevere is a bit difficult to reach by public transport
locaation nice host
Collected on arrival as arranged at airport and brought straight to hotel. Building isn't great but the rooms are perfect, comfy bed hot powerful shower. Breakfeast was outside in hall every morning orange juice, coffee, fruit, pastrys, toaster. Location was perfect 2 min walk to heart of Trastevere and the tram stopped literally outside door which brings in to the middle of Rome. Staff were very helpful with telling us how to use public transport, gave us an umbrella the morning it was raining and holding onto our bags after we checked out. Fresh towels and room cleaned everyday. No complaints about noise, probably because we were coming in at 2am, which there was no problem with. Overall it surpassed our expectations as we got the room very cheap.Would 100% stay there again
