Location Great view Interesting archeological interiors - something special with a modern touch Personnel very friendly and helpful Very good restaurant Clean, I mean really clean rooms Soundproof room walls Tasty and good quality breakfast SPA Price/value very good
The scenery and the view is amazing, breakfast was good, and the staff were really nice and helpful
The duvet didn't have proper sheet - it was a bit weird and uncomfortable
We liked very much everything.especially the staff
The staff made our stay so enjoyable. They were so thoughtful and very friendly. Your staff certainly make your hotel what it is, excellent.
There was nothing we did not like about our stay.
real stylish hotel in the old town. very unusual and interesting restaurant.
All great !
Super location for wandering through the old town of Bergamo. Breakfasting in the archeological site was serene.
The room size is decent , the coffee maker and the free water are appreciated, The breakfast was exceptional as there was a chef to prepare to order as well as thE generous buffet.
Strange that such a high quality hotel did not get CNN or BBC...only "news" in English language "al Jazerra?" Layout of super modern room can be quirky...it all worked but is hard to describe the strange feel or the modernity....bathroom privacy has some merits.
Very nice luxury hotel, great location… Forget the comments about the so-so service, the staff was perfect.
Hotel building Staff Breakfast
Room too hot and too noisy outside to open window Had to pay for coffee capsules in room Only given 1 shower gel at a time
location good; quality construction;
Very poor meet and greet; expensive; inflexible; poor and over priced food; dreadful and unfriendly atmosphere; poor attitude from senior staff against excellent service from junior staff;
Excellent Location. Wonderfull architecture. Extrme friendly place
Overpriced for its quality. Rooms are rather small and very limited wardrobe space.
Friendly staff, excellent service Beautiful surroundings Quiet Nice Breakfast Terrace
Smell of cigarettes in the room (not much)
Location Rooms Service Spa Restaurant Terrace BASICALLY EVERYTHING
because it hasn't any mistakes
we love it
I recently stayed at Relais San Lorenzo after a long cruise around the Mediterranean where I was visiting a different country every day. The relaxed atmosphere of this hotel was perfect to wind down and relax.
The Italian train system was a challenge for two ladies traveling with way to heavy suitcases, but once we had arrived at our hotel we quickly forgot that travel experience.
Every single thing
It was raining when we got there but lovely umbrellas were provided so even that wasn't a problem
We absolutely loved it.The design is stunning and is located right in the historic center! Rooms and SPA are delightful. Staff was very welcoming. The restaurant's design over Roman ruins is beautiful and the food is amazing; very promising young chef.
The hotel structure is amazing
Staff polite and gentle, but missing passion for hotellerie. I suggest a concierge to better advise guests and find solutions.
After spending one month in Italy, this short stay at San Lorenzo was a refreshing change. Everything is new, modern, clean, and fresh. San Lorenzo is perfectly located in City Alta, making it easy to explore. The staff was extremely accommodating, helping us with several requests and thereby making our visit to Bergamo perfect. For example, we arrived mid afternoon, just when all restaurants close. The San Lorenzo kitchen staff stayed a little longer and prepared us a fine meal.
There was no night light in our room, so I had to use my IPad to guide the way.
The staff at the Relais San Lorenzo is of the rare kind nowadays, they think;) They offered us rooms on the same floor as they saw we were one family, very kind gesture without asking. The restaurant recommendations were superb. Hotel is very new and in the mint condition. And Bergamo is a very beautiful city. Now with this hotel- more reasons to come. Can't wait to be back.
Great location, staff were excellent and good value for money for a 5 star hotel.
The spa was fairly underwhelming (ie. no spa, just steam room).
Situated in a quiet square in the middle of this beautiful old city. The Roman and Renaissance excavations incorporated into the dining room and bar areas. The bus to the airport and train station is only 100m away.
It was a magical time so much so we stayed an extra night
beautiful renovation. Excellent Location
hard to get to. No gym
The location was excellent, so was the architecture of the building and the facilities. The staff was friendly too. The room and the hotel was very clean. The breakfast was top quality though there were few choices. Very good wi-fi speed though the codes expired often and we had to ask for new ones. The spa facilities looked very promising but unfortunately we did not get full access for no reason
We did not get full access to the spa facilities, though it was included in the high price we paid for the room. Instead we had to wait at least 20 minutes so that the hotel staff could prepare (?) the spa facilities and at the end they gave us access only to the relax sauna area, which is really unacceptable. Also when we asked for a massage treatment, they told us there was only one therapist to treat us and it would take one hour for him/her to reach the hotel. There was no sound proof at the rooms' door and we could hear every single thing that was going on in our corridor. Fortunately the hotel was not full.
