The ambience after passing the steel gate was wonderful. Breakfast was great. There was also fruit, coffee, tea and brandy. You couldn't ask for a better location or hosts.
Everything was perfect.
Most comfortable accommodation located in the centre of the old town beautifully decorated in traditional style. Breakfast served in the gracious dinning/ living room was a real treat.
The location walking distance to everything i wanted to see also the breakfast was good
This was our first visit to Lucca, and we could not have picked a better place to spend the week. The location is perfect, close to everything you would want to do in Lucca. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the breakfast is delicious and plentiful. But the best part is the support and care we received from Daniela and her family, especially during my wife's illness at the beginning of our stay. It felt like being with family, and we greatly appreciated it.
really love Relais San Lorenzo which located in a historic building with generous living room. Staffs are friendly and helpful, enjoyed the breakfast there. Highly recommended!!
This beautiful bed and breakfast, was a treat from the moment we stepped into the formal living area! The staff was friendly, helpful, generous with treats and a very nice breakfast including made to order eggs. Our room was beautiful and we were also treated to using the terrace. Unfortunately, we only got to stay one night but after we discovered it and Lucca, we wished we had a week to stay there. Bus stop also located in front of building, nice to use if coming in by train.
You have to climb a few flights of stairs to get into the B and B but the staff was really available to help with luggage.
Everything - the extremely friendly and helpful staff were just perfect, the room was very, very comfortable and the decor throughout was so in keeping with historical Lucca. The breakfasts were lovely and fresh with interesting choices - can't fault anything about 'Relais San Lorenzo'. We will return one day.
There was nothing to dislike!
The lovely old building with it's beautiful antique furniture. And yet it was so homely. We only had three nights there - just wish it had been longer.
There was nothing to dislike.
This property was wonderful. Daniella and Michel were great hosts and our room was charming and immaculate. The breakfast room was divine as was the meal and to our surprise late one evening there was brandy and glasses left out for a night cap. Wonderful hospitality and great value.
The hospitality of the family who own Relais San Lorenzo was first class. Nothing was too much trouble and they were so kind and generous. They allocated us their best suite of rooms as it was our 40th wedding anniversary and this was very much appreciated. They were so helpful with any questions about the area etc. Lucca was such a beautiful and amazing place and we had the trip of a lifetime. Breakfast was first class and very generous. We were also impressed by the fact that fruit and drinks etc. were left out during the day for the guests. We would unreservedly recommend this hotel and would go back there at any time. Location perfect
Liked everything about Relais San Lorenzo. Beautifully kept, enchanting and scrupulously clean bed and breakfast, where staff and owner were charming, helpful and offered the warmest of welcomes. Great location for exploring town and for accessing public transport to other towns, cities and attractions in Tuscany. Room we were in had a sun terrace and sun room, perfect for relaxing with a glass, or bottle, of wine on a hot and sunny afternoon. Just a great place to chill out and wind down. Would recommend Relais to anyone looking to stay in Lucca.
Exactly the experience we were looking for inside the walls of Lucca. The friendliest welcome the best breakfast and wonderful location for exploring Lucca.
Not so easy to find. It is in the same building as a Museum and the sign is on the wall. The taxi driver had to phone them to find it. If you were driving I think it would be hard to find and not sure about parking either.
From start to finish we were made to feel welcome in this beautiful relais .The standard of cleanliness was excellent.Breakfast supplied had a good selection of free fruit yoghurt and local pastry .A must for anyone visiting Lucca.
Great breakfast. Protected Parking Inside city walls
no elevator - but staff carries luggage
Friendly and helpful owner and son. Old palazzo with cozy atmosphere. Excellent location within the walls close to all the sights and restaurants
Driving a large car through tiny streets to get to on-site parking. Son of the owner was very helpful and took over the manoeuvres. Is really a B&B so don't expect the facilities of a hotel, eg reception
Fabulous staff, fantastic level of care, superb location. Absolutely no hesitation staying there again.
We were delighted with the Relais San Lorenzo. The owners were so welcoming and helpful and the place is absolutely beautiful. We would definitely stay again!
Stairs and no lift makes it a bit much with luggage for a short stay. Somewhat dodgy air conditioning.
"Because of the length of your stay we put you in our biggest room". A great welcome, and even greater when this "room" pretty much ended up being a suite with a second adjacent room which opened to a roof terrace and a separate spacious bathroom. All very stylish and 'chique'. Overall we had a very pleasant stay at San Lorenzo, the owners and hosts and staff were very nice, friendly and cooperative. It was a perfect closure of our 4 week honeymoon through Italy.
A small, charming 'character' property run by an extremely pleasant and helpful owner and staff and immaculately maintained. Central but quiet location. Our room was small but comfortable, with a decent bed and shower. Nice touches like free water and soft drinks in the mini-bar and fruit in the breakfast room/lounge area. Not an extensive breakfast choice, but more than adequate for our needs. Good value.
Daniela is very professional and provided excellent service. She was always accommodating.
I liked the character of a very old building. People need to know that it is not a hotel and that it is based in a very old building ( over a century old), with no elevators, and can be difficult to find. I took a taxi and he knew exactly where is was.The place oozes character.
Great location very clean and very friendly staff would recommend to others would stay again
Very centrally located, great staff and can't wait to go back in december.
The location is excellent, sheets were clean and crisp, the room was large by European standards and the WiFi exceptional! When you arrive, ring the bell and wait, someone will answer!
The stairs, the hotel is on floor two and there is no elevator...be warned, but worth it!!
