Relais Uffizi  

The staff were nice and friendly. Good room service.

The internet connection is very weak. I had to keep entering the password as the internet connection doesn't last more than 5 minutes. There is no wireless internet reception at the breakfast room at all.

In the middle of everything i Florence

Very central location. Nice breakfast-room and lounge with a lovely view of a large plaza.

Our room was facing a very dark and slightly smelly back-yard. Would have preferred to leave the windows and curtains closed, but the a/c was not working. Nevertheless, we still had a decent night since temperatures were still relatively cool (in the month of April). The hotel and the reception area is on the second floor of a building hidden in a small side street, impossible to drive up to it by car.

We had stayed here before and have recommended to others Could not be beaten for location,service ,and value

The Relais Uffizi was located near the heart of many of the sites we wanted to visit. The staff was wonderful! The breakfast was nice - fruit, pastries, ham/cheese and yogurt. All in all, a great place to stay while visiting Florence.

Quite difficult to find. Location not adequately explained. Nice entrance but in small alley.

Very small, old, budget place hidden in the heart of the city, that would suit backpackers-travellers. Room was small facing the noisy yard and... another room window. Breakfast is very limited. You'll be getting cup of coffee or tea. Thats pretty much about it. It might work for one night. If for longer period, I would go for smth more comfortable.

The room was fairly spacious.

It was not nearly as nice as expected. Room was dated. No safe in the room. Shower drain didn't work and shower curtain was dirty. Breakfast was minimal and wireless internet barely worked. Hotel staff recommended touristy restaurants that were not good.

We are immediately made to feel at home. This is our second visit, and will not be our last. The location is fantastic. My husband is disabled and the bathroom facilities are excellent

hotel has a couple (not many) stairs but narrow passageways, cumbersome if you have heavy or much luggage.

We were given a suite upon arrival for our one week stay and it had a huge bathroom. It was ideal for handicapped people because it had handrails installed and both a separate shower and bath with a shower inside the bath. What a luxury! This small historical hotel was located in the Piazza della Signoria, which is a major square in Florence containing the Uffizi Gallery, the Palazzo Vecchio, the Loggia della Signoria and was very close to the Ponte Vecchio and Arno River. Most of the major monuments/churches/galleries were within short walking distance. The best views were from the loungeroom which looked down onto the square. This loungeroom was adjacent to a small breakfast room. Breakfast was limited but fine with excellent coffee. Receptionists all very helpful with recommendations and advice including the hotel owner who also worked in the hotel. They went out and purchased a feather pillow for me when they could not find one in their hotel.

The bell which rang from the Palazzo Vecchio bell tower rang very late and early in the morning but it was not too bad if you happen to sleep heavily. However, what was very noisy was the early morning collection (daily) of bottles etc outside our window. Our window faced a wall over a narrow lane. The crash each morning really startled and we mentioned it to the hotel but of course, it was not their fault that the city council did this collection. Possibly, had our window not faced the lane, it would have been less noisy.

The location and charm fit in perfectly with our trip.

The only thing wrong was the confusing directions from the train station....that it the fault of Google,not the hotel....they are great

We were located in the annexe house which was extremly inconvenient. To get to the room we had to take narrow and steep steps...totally inapproprate even for adults. Even worse with a small child what they had been informed of..... And the smell of the kitchen !!! No view from the rooms on anything except a narrow little street.

The location was phenomenal and the staff were OUTSTANDING!

The entry door was difficult to find, down a smelly alleyway.

Location was brilliant, along with a beautiful room and delicious breakfast. We parked in their suggested garage and their service was excellent as well. We would definitely stay here again.

The only small problem was that our wifi was not as good as we hoped. Nothing to stop us staying here again.

Wonderful bathroom! Easily accommodated a family! Great location right off of the city square. Very nice room....again, comfortably accommodated our family, even offering some private spaces. Made tour arrangements for us.

Not easy to communicate with prior to our trip. Frequently did not respond to email questions at the email address provided. When setting up tours, the options of type and cost were not provided. We would have preferred an audio tour to save $ and experience the museums at our own pace. This was not mentioned and ended up costing us triple what we had intended to spend.

Relais Uffizi is perfectly situated in the heart of historic Florence - just a minute from the Uffizi Gallery, Statue of David, Palazzo Vecchio and so on. Despite its location so close to the busy Piazza Signoria, the hotel is a very quiet and restful place to stay. The 'room with a view' is so relaxing with newspapers, lots of books to read and wifi. We stayed in the annex in a lovely air-conditioned room, with coffee-making facilities; there was a great power shower and plenty of toiletries in the ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was delicious, and the coffee excellent. Staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Best place I've stayed in Florence! Bellissimo!
