As you drive up a few hills, you come upon a complex of buildings, which originally were a castle. All the structures have been redesigned into a castle-hotel. Lovely location, on top of a hill with magnificent views. As the Internet was out of service, the hotel staff (Sofia), made our next hotel booking. Service in the dinning room and at breakfast was very professional; of note is Emanuele, who took great care with my wife’s food restrictions (celiac). Spacious and lovely parking.

The room only had a tiny window, which looked at a wall. The bathroom was up several steps, which I found dangerous, especially at night, when you’re sleepy. I suggest that you check the room before you stay, because, I found the bathroom was low; I had to bend down, especially to shave. I almost had to get to my knees in order to shave. The Internet was out of service.

Per chi vuole passare delle giornate rilassanti questo e' il posto giusto...con tutto il verde delle colline Umbre...

Situato in un borgo medievale è provvisto di una vista stupenda sui dintorni. L'arredamento è curato, ottima la colazione, lo staff gentile e sollecito.Contiamo di tornarci.

La bellezza della struttura

Cucina pessima (altro che umbra!) del suo ristorante il pavone (presentazione piatti orribile, tavola disordinata e raffazzonata, sugo annacquato, risotto scotto, tagliata fatta con un pezzo di carne pieno di nervetti e assolutamente inadeguato), organizzazione carente (si erano persi le prenotazioni fatte con booking.com, la penultima mattina non ci hanno mandato la pulizia in stanza perchè credevano fossimo andati via, l'ultima mattina le donne delle pulizie hanno fatto irruzione in stanza alle 9:00 mentre stavamo sotto la doccia: la stanza andava lasciata entro le 11..), assoluta mancanza di attrazioni nei dintorni a fronte di una location bella ma disagiatissima da raggiungere (10km di tornati su strada dissestata): si prometteva sky nelle stanze per poi accorgersi che I decoder erano privi di smartcard (l'abbonamento è solo per I mesi estivi :), si prometteva un campo da tennis per poi scoprire che era fatiscente e coperto di foglie...

The location was wonderful. The village was beautifully restored and our room was comfortable with a nearby terrace at the same level to sit as well as gardens and pool area.The restaurant overlooked the valley wiyh panoramic views. A very relaxing place to stay.

We only ate dinner once in the restaurant as we considered the menu to be rather restrictive. It was a set menu for either three or four courses with the price set accordingly. This was too much food for light eaters who would prefer two courses at most and a little more choice.
