In the heart of the Tuscany’s Chianti region, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves lies Relais Riserva di Fizzano, a beautifully restored complex of medieval farmhouses.

The complex is made up of self-contained apartments, grounds, an old chapel and a restaurant which offers genuine Tuscan cuisine. There is also a large swimming pool overlooking the valley and mountain bikes are available free of charge for those who want to venture into the gorgeous surrounding countryside. For children a green and well-equipped play area has been provided, along with a smaller swimming pool.

The apartments have been specially designed to maintain all their old rustic charm, with original tiled floors, wooden ceiling beams and large fireplaces all still present. In the comfort of these apartments the hotel can even arrange for you to enjoy a relaxing shiatsu massage.

The hotel has a lovely bar area where breakfast is served and where you can also enjoy a light lunch or exquisite bottles of local wine. Free guided wine tasting tours are available once a week and the hotel can also organize many other tours for you.

The hotel is well situated for those who want to explore Tuscany, being within a few miles of Poggibonsi and Castellina in Chianti and also less than a one hour drive from Siena (19 miles) and Florence (28 miles).

Les enfants ont également adoré ! Mention spéciale au personnel, charmant et compétent. Durant les derniers jours de notre séjour (2 premières semaines d'août), un groupe important d'italiens a quelque peu perturbé l'absolue quiétude des 10 premiers jours... Buiten dineren was erg aangenaam, Het is een zeer mooie locatie, uitkijken van alle kanten over de prachtige Chianti-streek. Ook de mogelijkheid om zelf gebruik te maken van de grote tuin, er waren voldoende zitjes her en der. Het enige minpuntje is dat ze op de weg er naar toe wel een bordje kunnen zetten met hun naam. Iedere ochtend een ontbijtbuffet (optioneel) en prima mogelijkheden om te lunchen en 's avonds te dineren. Heerlijk eten. Terwijl er ook in de omgeving volop goede mogelijkheden zijn. Tampoco nos ha gustado la falta de atención en la limpieza de las habitaciones.
