Excellent,
Score from 327 reviews
“ The location is perfect based on picturesque setting, lovely Tuscany style and access to the small town / village of Radda. Radda offers beauty, access, friendliness and comfort to make travel easy and fun. Also, thanks to the owner and the ride he provided to our friend Chris Miller in the red Ferrari. It was Chris's birthday on May 1 and this made his day! ”

Relais Vignale is a charming country house of the 17th century in the heart of the Chianti Classico area, with panoramic views out over the Tuscan countryside. The outdoor swimming pool is in a flower garden, and the restaurant features a terrace. The center of Radda is a 2-minute walk away. The building was renovated according to the original architecture, and has the standards of a 4-star hotel. The Vignale includes a collection of antique furniture, fresco ceilings, and grand fireplaces. There is also a TV room, lounge bar, and library. Wi-Fi is available and there is a free internet point in the lobby. The restaurant is open to the public and specializes in a mix of traditional and modern Tuscan dishes and fine local wines. Breakfast is buffet style. The property offers free parking and is a 1-hour drive from both Florence and Siena. At the front desk you can organize visits to the cellar of the Castello di San Donato in Perano, 2.5 miles away. The atmosphere was amazing! It was a great and enjoyable place to stay with my parents and older sister. Ideal location for the Tuscan countryside as it is in a small town and easy to get around to do wine tastings and to great restaurants.

It was Chris's birthday on May 1 and this made his day! When we return after retirement, we plan to stay with you at least 30 days as a central point for seeing more of this lovely Italian countryside. The beds were a bit hard; but slept well regardless.

We loved the entire facility including the restaurant, rooms and amenities. It had an old world / country charm that you might expect in Italy, but would never find in the us. We loved Radda and the Chianti region of Tuscany. When we arrived and saw how beautiful this place was, we couldn't believe that our rate was €285 for the entire three nights. Yes, it was off season, but we paid almost €200 a night for an just ok hotel in a dumpy neighborhood in Rome. Our only regret is that we visited in the off season. This place in the Summer would be fabulous.

Everything! Staff were extremely friendly and helpful Rooms were amazing Hotel was full of history and character, and the large open fire in one of the many seating areas/lounges was very welcoming Views were superb Breakfast was very generous and there was a good selection And on top of all that, the price was more than reasonable! There was nothing about this hotel that we did not like, and it would make a great base for exploring Chianti/Tuscany. A fabulous place to relax at the end of a busy day; if I ever get the opportunity I'd definitely go back. There was nothing to dislike!

This is a wonderful and beautiful hotel, like a castle. The location near Radda was great. The staff was real healpful and nice and the room was big and beautiful. We could see a vine-yeard from our window. The breakfast-buffet was fantastic with cheeses, bacon, eggs and then sweet cakes. We will visite it again and Toscana, of course! That we had to leave, we should have stayed longer.

The public area, breakfast , the garden, the view, The room was poor, especially comper to the out standing public areas. To much of a gap between privet and public . The lady at the reception . Morning shift on the 17.10, was unpaiciant and gave a feeling that we are giving her trobell ( we conciderd a stay of one more night).

An amazing old building and a free upgrade made for one of the best hotels in our week long road trip. Really peaceful out in the country and a stunning view to wake up to each day - Radda itself is small but worth the visit. Wifi throughout the hotel might have been nice although tricky to make work with the thick walls at a guess

Absolutely everything. The location was perfect for exploring the wine areas of Chianti. The staff were wonderful and our dining experience at the hotel was superb. We felt that we stayed in an Italian Palazzo and we will certainly recommend it to everyone.

This stay was the best part of our tour around Italy. The drive into region for the first time was stunning. The hotel itself is beautiful and the immediate town of Radda is wonderful. The rooms are wonderful and the staff is great but the wine selection is optimal. I am looking forward to returning to this exact hotel. The food and restaurant is wonderful, but the menu only changes once a month. If you are staying for more than a few days, you will want to eat elsewhere after a night or so.

This was our 2nd stay after 1 year--we were determined to come back after being thoroughly charmed by this idyllic hotel last October. Everything about it is beautiful and comfort-oriented: its lush and expansive grounds include many patios, decks, indoor & outdoor restaurants, and exquisite lounging/reading rooms; the view from virtually all points at the hotel spans a quiet, beautiful landscape of hills, wine country, and mountains; and the rooms and hallways are very quaint with old-style comfort features. Our suite with sitting room and veranda overlooking the magnificent countryside was a treasured pleasure each day. Very romantic. Not many places equal the charm of Relais Vignale! And it is within walking distance of all the interesting places and excellent restaurants of Radda in Chianti. To top it all, there's convenient private parking and the price (at least off-season) is very reasonable. It's hard to criticize, but the only thing I might mention is that the service at the indoor hotel restaurant is very slow.

Radda was an ideal location as a base for the wine region, seeing Florence and seeing Sienna. Hotel was very good indeed, top quality service, very good facilities and ambience. Restaurant within the hotel was top quality but pricey, so used the restaurants in the town itself. Would stay again as a base for Tuscany. Restaurant a little too expensive

Everything. The hotel is easy to find in the main road in Radda in Chianti. The price was excellent for a 4-star hotel, specially considering that Chianti is the priciest area in Italy (think California). We got an upgrade without even requesting it. Staff was friendly AND spoke English. Rooms were spacious and the view unbeatable. Bathroom was spotless clean and soaps, razors, etc. generous. Buffet breakfast, included in the price, was very good. Parking was free and Wi Fi too in common areas (not availability in the room though). Nothing. Everything was above expectations.

The room we stayed in was super huge and had a seperate bedroom with it. It had old style antique furnishings and was overall lovely, clean and comfortable. Depending on your taste it, if you like posh, fancy and elegantly refined then this palce is for you. Most of the staff were super friendly except one of the receptionists who was tempremental. One minute she was helpful and kind and the next minute she was moody and unapproachable. We found ourselves walking past reception very fast just to avoid eye contact with this woman. It made us feel very uncomfotable. However the other receptionist, little bit stockier lady with short dark hair and glasses was always calm, relaxed and super approachable so we found her to be very helpful.
