Hotel Residence

The hotel has the absolute best location in Amalfi, close to the ferry docks and the bus terminal. The value of the convenient location, close to public transportation, became very apparent as we saw how difficult it is to drive the roads of the area, and the scarcity of good parking places.The desk staff always tried to be helpful. They serve a nice breakfast on a terrace overlooking the harbor.

Their price for parking (off site, about a kilometer from the hotel) seemed pretty high, but as I said, parking spaces were very scarce. Almost wish we had taken a ferry from Solarno or Sorento since we did not use the car once after we got to Amalfi.

The hotel was clean and in a good location.

I felt this hotel was overpriced. Also there were a few staff members with a real attitude problem. This impacted our stay a lot. During this vacation we stayed in 6 different hotels and this by far had the worst staff and front desk. Although not all the staff members were roude, it still had the worst customer service.

Excellent location right in the center of the city by the lake, very clean comfortable room, polite staff.

This hotel is great because of its location. It's right accross from the beach and right in the city center. We had a beatiful view from our balcony which was overlooking the beach. The rooms are pretty clean too. A bonus is they do provide towels for the beach when you ask at the front desk. For Amalfi we found this was truly the best hotel to stay in location wise.

Breakfast was poor. The a/c is a split unit directly accross the bed and the air hit my husband in the face constantly making for some uncomfortable nights of sleep. And the bed and pillows are pretty uncomfortable.

Vi blev taget pænt imod og vist op på værelser der ikke havde havudsigt som lovet. Da vi nævnte at vi så ikke blev, blev vi ringet op om vi ville bytte værelser, hvorefter vi fik værelser med havudsigt og ved siden af hinanden. Personalet var yderst venlige og servicemindede og vi var glade og tilfredse da vi rejste.

Ja.... meddel byrådet at de bør kigge på infrastruktur og markant forbedring af den heftige trafik der går gennem Amalfi. Forslag kunne være tunneller igennem bjergene som i Østrig og Schweitz. Det er antiklimaks med lastbiler, biler, busser og en tyk os af diesel når middelhavet ligger 10 meter væk! Det kommer til at koste Amalfi mange turister i fremtiden eftersom flere og flere vælger rejsemål, hvor ro, skønhed, venlighed og varme er i højsædet.
