Our 'room' was in fact a spacious apartment with a lounge/dining room (where our daughter slept on a couch), a bedroom, kitchen and bathroom all in 1970s style with steel architraves. Great to have so much space. Although obviously a little tired (cold tap in bathroom was impossible to turn on, toilet seat kept falling off, distinct lack of power points), the room was comfy but too hot. Luckily the windows could be opened.
Convenient location on the edge of Old Town. Easy access and parking if coming by car.Nice river view. Large room good for 3rd person. Easy walk to Arena and other attractions. Friendly English speaking staff, especially Anna and Ana Maria.
cheap for being near the centre of the town and the railway station
Occupancy was low so we were given a riverfront room with a beatiful view.
Two buildings have been joined together to form the hotel. The floors on the two buildings are are at different levels which might be a problem if you have too much luggage
I liked the friendly and helpful staff, the excellent standard of accommodation, the location.
It was a bit noisy in the early mornings and the breakfast was not very exciting.
very poor breakfast, old furniture...
Location (5 min walk to L'Arena). Size of room (had booked a double, given a 1 bed apartment).
very dated fixtures and fittings (holes in carpet, toilet seat loose, taps dripping, stale smell in room). Uncomfortable beds. Poor selection for breakfast. Indifferent staff.
The location and the breakfast.
We could not turn on the air conditioning although it was very hot in the room. But we asked to change the room and the staff accepted.
Excellent location; good breakfast; beautiful hotel.
The receptionist was unkindly.
Poor breakfast, communication in english with few staffs..
Location in city of Verona was great, close to the centre of town and easy to walk everywhere.
The facilities in the kitchen did not function well, very small and crowded, no bench space.
We did not like it. Beds were hard.the double room with 2 single beds Decor shabby. Looked as if it had not been since the 1970s.toilet seat was broken and the inside of the seat was exposed .not able to sit on the seat.when main reception were informed they agreed to change but this did not happen and the staff refused to comment. The larger apartment room -decor shabby at its best.bed hard sofa beds unable to sleep on so hard.room noisy. Only 2 plug sockets to charge the phone one of which was in the bathroom.shower leaked.when staff were informed, there was no apology or interest in repairing it. There were 4 of us in the apartment and needing to shower and use the toilet.due to water on the floor had to ask for many towels to mop up the leaks.
Fantastic location in the middle of the city. For our three nights it was fine but not so good for a longer stay. Good value compared to others
A bit run down could do with a face lift. A bit noises but it is very city centre. Breakfast was ok but not the brst
Location, size of room
A lot of stairs very steep stairs to 4th floor
Location View from the balcony
Service was quite average Breakfast was very poor Expensive price
Location to city centre and train station was good.
Only two of the staff members were helpful and bothered to even crack a smile!! We paid 180 euro a night and they couldn't 't even provide a kettle!! There were no instructions on how to use anything and when we finally worked out the stove top to boil water it didn't heat up properly. The building is old and needs an upgrade.
The excellent location in the old part of town overlooking the river and in such close proximity to the Roman Amphitheatre was much appreciated. The secure car parking, good breakfast and friendly staff all contributed to making it a memorable stay.
The stove was not user friendly.
Rooms very austere and poorly furnished. Old type spring beds. Breakfast choices not good. Not good value for money.
The staff were all very helpful and polite. The hotel was only a few minutes from the Arena. It was perfect for walking around.
The facilities were a bit plain and it would have been nice to have a shower without a curtain, something a bit more modern.
Location was great for opera
Breakfast did not have a protein that was not cured meat, not enough variety, fruit was not fresh. The staff was helpful and the place was clean but the facilities were old, the AC in our room moaned.
Staff were friendly and most helpful. Room was made available earlier than expected. Luggage was stored prior to check in and again after check out. Breakfast was good. Bed very comfortable. Wifi worked well.
Bathroom had a poor shower curtain ( plastic) which allowed water out onto the floor - very wet and slippery. Full kitchen in our room ( not required) but no kettle to make a cup of tea. Lighting poor.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Responded instantly to any problems with room and appliances. Breakfast was good. Room (actually apartment) had dining area, living room, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. The facility was quite comfortable. The location is unbeatable.
Can't think of anything.
Shabby rooms, no shower curtains/screens, air conditioning not working, ripped carpets on stairs, constantly had to ask for towels as they forgot there were 3 people in the room, poor selection for breakfast. When allocated our room we spoke with reception to advise it was nothing like the one we'd viewed on the website - they looked at the website and then said 'well you can move if you must'!! We moved but 2nd room not really much better. Never again.
Convenient location for the old town and sight seeing
I thought the room smelt of damp. Room was quite small and basic and 'tired'
