Grand Hotel Verona is located midway between Verona’s Roman arena and the town’s train station, making this prestigious hotel not only elegant and stylish but also convenient.

Just a 5-minute walk from the famous Verona Arena, Hotel Mastino is located in Verona’s centre. It offers modern or classic-style accommodation. A sweet breakfast is served buffet style until 11:00.

Convenient location for the old town and sight seeing
I thought the room smelt of damp. Room was quite small and basic and 'tired'
Excellent location to all attractions. Spacious room parking available good wifi
The main receptionist we dealt with was excellent. She was very helpful in looking things up and nothing was too much trouble. She could not have been more helpful.
Staff very unpolite Room was too hot Breakfast very poor Big gap between suggestiom innternet and reality
Location was great with good parking facilities (although difficult to find).
The hotel is very outdated, like a time-warp back into the 70's.
Location, close to all the main tourist attractions, comfortable and great value, staff even had breakfast ready for us early on check out day so we could eat before catching early train
Could have. Even a bit more variety for breakfast but it is a small hotel so not expected.
Location was great: walking distance to beautiful spots and opera Friendly and efficient staff Safe parking underground
Metal frames around doorposts and old fashioned furnishing. Boring breakfast
Spacious room (actually, a small apartment, with a small kitchen). Good location, next to Castle Vecchio and close to all attractions of Verona. Reasonably priced.
The photos on their website are misleading - they don't show the rooms, nor really the hotel, which has seen the last large renovation in the late '60s/early '70s. You won't have a view on the bridge of Castle Vecchio (but you shouldn't expect it at the price they charge).
The location: close enought, mostly to every thing, and to be able to get back to the hotel to relax and then go out for more walks and dine. In the mornings, the included breakfast along with real macchiatos, expressos, cappuccinos and more, prepared by friendly young adults, were enought before we started to go sightseeing beautilly Verona one of the UNESCO World Heritage side. By the way, you can anchor in Verona and go any direction for day trips to Venice, Murano, Burano, to the west or head east to the Lakes: Lago d' Garda, Como, and more.We are going back and estay looooonger! Eventhough the outdated furniture and linen I want to say the cleaning crew did an impeccable job. The Hotel price was right for what you get, not luxury but a friendly family oriented hotel.
We had a room facing the front road that was bussy and the glass is not sound proof, also the aircondicioning was very noicy and didn't work well. Next morning I talk to Anna and although the Hotel was full she offered us different choices to move the next day or so. We move to a suite room facing The Castelveccio on the banks of the Adige river and expend 4 quiet nights more. I think the furniture and linen en general are out date and can be improve.
Close to Castelvecchio which is well worth a visit, and rear room balconies overlook the pretty Castelvecchio bridge. Short walk to the Arena and close to excellent Spar supermarket. On the Blue and Red (hop on / off) city tour routes. Friendly, helpful staff.
Disappointed with first room given - which was very noisy at front of hotel (we were under the impression that we had booked a rear room with balcony). The room we moved to was much quieter but the safe was faulty, the plug for the kitchen sink was missing and the plug mechanism for the bathroom basin didn't work. Overall in need of some refurbishment relative to the cost.
Hotel was within walking distance to Arena and close to restaurants and shops. The PN train station is less than 10 minutes away by bus. They run frequently and bus ticket costs only €1.30!
Rooms on upper floors require taking two elevators and climbing some stairs.
Very close Piazza Bra/Arena. The hotel and furniture need remodeling. I was in a family room very big that looks like an apartment. It was ok for just one night but I think that is possible to find better acomodation for the same price
When we arrived we were told there was a problem with our booking, so we were upgraded from a double room to an apartment. It was very large, if a little old and outdated in furnishings. Staff (especially Anna Maria) were very helpful. Location is very close to the Arena and bus stop for Hop On, Hop Off buses, as well as buses to and from the train station.
All the crockery was put away under the TV, so we had to go hunting for glasses so we could have a drink of water.
Location-working team (really outstanding and customer oriented).
Room a bit too old style/need a revamping. Parking beneath the hotel too small.
We stayed in the Annex building, so I can't comment on the hotel rooms. We stayed in a two bedroom suite in the Annex building. The suite was huge and beautifully appointed with decorations and furniture - it was very palatial feeling. Great location - a two minute walk to Castelvecchio. Less than a ten minute walk to the Arena.
Rooms, accessing them with stairs, problem aircons, ugly decor, few comforts.
Location in the old town; short walk to Arena di Verona
Small underground parking rather for small cars with narrow ramp
Location was fantastic
The hotel is extremely dated. We had a completely unnecessary kitchen area in our room. The bathroom needed updating. Generally the room made me think I was in a 1970s youth hostel. We booked around a month before travel and the choice in Verona was already very limited.
We had an apartment which was ideal for the four of us. Location very good.
Could be a little tricky to get to by car as the old city has a lot of one way and pedestrian streets. There was a kitchen but no contents. The apartment was of a good standard but a little tired.
Good location, big two-storey suit for 5 people.
Room not very carefully cleaned
Fairly spacious apartments, excellent location close to both train station and city center.
Common spaces a bit run-down, though apartment interiors good.
Location is unbeatable, staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the continental breakfast is adequate.
Property is tired and in need of refurbishment.
Perfect location near the City Center Careful accomodation Secured car park Great and spacious room Very quiet despite location in the city center
Standard breakfast without many additions or specials
Loved the lactation which is why I booked it to walk to the arena.
Very outdated apartment I paid a lot of money to stay for new night as the pictures looks fabulous. It turns out thetes river view, we were on main road which was noisy. It had a kitchen but no tea / coffee making facilities, I asked at reception but was told no. I would have rather stayed at a travelodge...
Very helpful and friendly staff! Excellent location.
Little bit outdated interior but was in order. Poor breakfast = classic italian!
