Excellent location, close to the sassi, hotel staff helpful with recommendations for dinner, room was large and very comfortable, everything was extremely clean and in very good condition. The breakfast had a wide variety to choose from, and was good. My college aged daughter and I travelled together, and the staff were very accomodating. The temperature was extremely warm -- and we were on the second (top floor) of the residence. We could not figure out any way to turn down the heat, so we just opened the french doors. Even with a GPS, the location was a little difficult to find, but I think that's true for most anywhere in and next to the sassi. |

I always wanted to visit a hotel with a booking.com rank above nice. Now I know why only few have it... Residence Del Casalnuovo staff is extraordinary - I have never met such nice attitude, openness and having in mind the good of the customer. The hotel is also brilliantly located when you want to visit the old town of Matera. The room and lounge also don't leave any space for complaining :) Excellent experience! |

The front desk person was helpful beyond what I expected. She even bought a bus ticket for me to get to Rome (on her own time) and also arranged for someone to take me to the bus in the morning. The setting in the Sassi area is primitive but beautiful, you just have to step out the door and you are into the Sassi. The breakfast was wonderful. I would highly recommend this hotel. No, there was nothing. It was fantastic. |

The receptionist's service, care and pleasant attitude and contribution of information about Madera, its sights and other tips what to do, where to eat etc. In addition to this, he was extremely helpful by checking out and providing information about the bus and train connections and by booking a taxi to the airport. He even wrote a letter to say goodbye cause he couldn't be present at our return Nothing, everything's great |

La posizione del residence e' immersa nella città il che favorisce la visita della stessa a piedi, che e' il modo migliore e più bello di visitare Matera. La sera la città assume una transformazione bellissima. Caminare la sera tra i suoi viottoli e' sugestivo. |
