Residence Hilda  

The apartments in Residence Hilda are of a very high standard, spacious, well furnished with very comfortable beds. The reception staff were exceptionally knowledgable and helpful, gave very good sightseeing and restaurant recommendations, and all spoke good English. The location is ideal, five minutes walk from the Duomo, and with several good cafes nearby. We would particularly recommend the unlikely sounding Ok Bar across the road from the apartments, which served very good snacks and pasta.

The apartments were very good with good kitchens and equiptment. You stepped out of the door and you were in the middle of Florence. Great convenience - the location could not have been better. The breakfast deal with the cafe across the road was excellent - we ended up having lots of our other meals there.

the apartment was spacious, modern and clean. It very close to everything so never needed to get a taxi to anywhere.

The hotel booked us a private taxi from the airport and were told is was 50 euro. We were shocked to be presented with a 127euro bill the following morning, Valentina the receptionist claiming it was because the driver waited for 2 hours so we were being charged 36 euro per hour on top of the agreed 50 euro. when we asked her to explain why the driver waited for 2 hours she said it was the fault of the airpot as they did not display their arrivals correctly. Which airport in the world does this especially in Europe! We felt scammed and let down the whole thing was a farce and ruined our romantic weekend! Will not be going back there and will not recommend it anyone.

Great hotel! Lovely staff... very helpful. The room is huge for 2 people. Perfect location.

My wife and I enjoyed the friendly relaxed service of the Residence Hilda staff.The apartment was clean and fully furnished.everything worked. The free connection to the wi-fi was a real bonus. The location for us was just right . I would not hesitate to stay there again . The email communication between us and the rh was clear and easy to follow. I wish all the staff at rh a Happy Christmas.

The entire building was a little too hot. I am aware that it is their winter. I think the rh could save some money by reducing the central heating a degree or two.

The friendly greeting on arrival was the beginning of a brilliant albeit short stay. The room was modern, spacious, well appointed, clean and quiet. The location is perfect. The recommended restaurants were excellent and the staff very helpful with advice. One of the nicest places I have stayed in.

The wifi did not work very well in the bedroom.

Residence Hilda is in a perfect location for visiting Florence. It was just a few blocks from the Duomo and withing walking distance of every possible sightseeing spot one would want to visit. This made it easy for us to return easily to take a break whenever we wished. The room was wonderful. It was spacious which is a rarity in the center of town. I read a lot of reviews about places in town, where the biggest complaint was the noise from the streets. In Residence Hilda, the double-pane windows seal out almost all of the noise. We were never bothered by any noise when the windows were closed! This is a huge benefit in our minds. We truly enjoyed having a small kitchen available to us although we did not choose to cook with too many fabulous restaurants, cafes, and gelatarias to visit. But it was nice to have early in the morning for coffee & tea, etc. You can have breakfast delivered to you by the OK Bar across the street. But we chose to go there in person instead. Great breakfast options!

A little pricey but worth the money for location, space, quiet, and fabulous staff. Our only complaint was that the heat was turned on during our visit yet the temperatures outside did not require heat. Although we were able to request the front desk to turn down the temperatures, it was still too warm for us and we had to keep our windows open at night (hence also opening ourselves to the noise of the streets and city).

Location was great, the room was spacious and very comfortable.

Having a self contained apartment with kitchen facilities meant that we could cater for ourselves if we wanted to - trying local food/produce/wine...... We also loved the location which was close to everywhere and very comfortable.....

Fantastic stay.

The family apartment is very comfortable and spacious for a family of 4. With a kitchen available, it was very convenient for us to dine and have tea together. In addition, there was plenty of room for luggages, and 2 large wardrobes for our clothes. A big plus was the staff which were very helpful. They assisted us with our questions about sights to see, and places to eat. We would rate their service 5 stars out of 5. It is also very conveniently located to the cathedral and a very good pastry shop just next door.

The television could have been placed in the living room for easier viewing. In addition, the sliding door seperating the living room and the bedroom was abit stiff and was hard to pull.

The staff were very helpful and attentive. Great room, ad facilities.
