Residence Il Monte

This is a beautiful location with stunning views. Very pleasant! We only stayed one night but it would be a lovely place to spend several days, hanging out in the evenings by the pool.

Be aware they don't do breakfast: they are holiday flats.

The location was beautiful with amazing views of the hillside down to the sea. We enjoyed the pool and having use of the apartment. Cefalu is a lovely city with wonderful restaurants. This hotel offers peace and quiet.

The smaller bedroom has no air-conditioning or fan and mosquitos prevent you from keeping the windows open.

The view was spectacular, as was the outdoor area and pool. It was very private so nice and quiet. The bed was very comfortable too. Danielle was very helpful when we asked about excursions to Etna etc, even though his English was limited. The apartment is very charming with wooden beams, breakfast bar etc. It felt like a home away from home and we always enjoyed returning to the apartment at the end of each day.

The self catering apartment we stayed in could have used with a few more appliances eg. there was no kettle, and a few more pots and pans for cooking would have been useful. The shower was not very hot either and the shower curtain was slightly mouldy. But these were only minor issues and did not affect the overall enjoyment of our stay here.

Superb view, lovely big rooms. Pool was nice after day trips out and lazy mornings.

The view, space and flat was excellent. We will be back next year.

The position is magnificent with views of Cefalu and the mountains as it is situated high above the coast. The air-con was the best we had out of the 4 places we stayed. The apartment was private with its own private balcony Daniele, the manager who lived on site was very helpful

The whole complex could do with upgarding and refurbishing as it's now rather faded. No inventory of kitchen equipment and utensils had been done before our arrival and was lacking in some essential items The pool and garden area were small and the gardens could do with more care Across the valley there was a house where a music group practised for 2 out of the 3 nights we were there, although this may not be a regular occurrence it was very loud and unpleasant. Daniele was not prepared to do anything, and this will stop us going there again

Exceptional view on Cefalu, very quiete and relaxing, great support from Daniele locally, very pleasant swimming pool for children, very good comfort for a family.

- Since it's in the countryside beware of various insects - they bite. - Would have been nice to have the sheets and towels changed at least once in 10 days.

We really enjoyed the location and the atmosphere as well as the arrangement of the rooms. We appreciated the speed with which we were shown the way.The owner was very friendly and helpful. The garden was taken care of while we were there and is a good asset but maybe more can be made of it. We suggest some suggestions for local walks/climbs would be good as well as where to go to swim in the sea.The simple security systemn was excellent.

The kitchen could be better equiped. I do not remember the website description saying that there was a kitchen and self catering was possible, otherwise go to the town.

There seem to be some inconsistencies in the description and the name of this plaace. It is actually a number of self catering apartments - it is not a hotel and is not now called Residence Il Monte. Thus it is very difficult ot find and the owner tries ot meet you to guide you up the hill to the Residence. Having found it, it is in a superb location with glorious views down to the coast. Outr apartment was spacious and clean and pretty well equpped, but we felt it was overpriced for what you were getting for your money.

As a self catering apartment we would return to the place but would expect to negotiate over the price.

Gentillesse de l'accueil, vu magnifique sur cefalu. Appartement spacieux avec terrasse individuelle et parking. Piscine ouverte début mai mais non chauffée.

Die kleine Klimaanlage im Schlafzimmer war nicht in der Lage das Wohnzimmer im März zu heizen.

Le bruit d'un moteur qui fonctionnait sans interruption pendant la nuit. Pas de climatisation dans une chambre Le manque d'équipement : douche inutilisable, peu de vaisselle

Уютные просторные аппартаменты, есть все для спокойной автономной жизни. Расслабляющая обстановка, уединение от цивилизации. Неплохая база для путешествий на автомобиле по северной Сицилии.

1) На всякий случай стоит иметь в виду - мелочи типа соли или тряпочки для вытирания стола отсутствуют, их приходится покупать в магазине (а вы попробуйте купить в магазине соль или сахар в упаковке менее 1 кг). 2) Слабая мобильная связь, постоянно теряется оператор, как следствие - интернета скорее нет, чем есть. Понадобилось забронировать авто на Мальте, куда уезжали после Чефалу - пришлось ехать с ноутбуком в город, в резиденции это сделать было невозможно. 3) Автомобилисты, имейте в виду - координаты резиденции в Google Earth неверные, там отель расположен восточнее, чем надо, на пару километров (а в распечатке букинг ком они верные - доехали прямо к воротам). Без навигатора туда лучше не соваться, без машины - тем более.

Wspaniałe miejsce !!! Piękny widok na Cefalu, cisza I spokój. Bardzo sympatyczny właściciel I dwa koty. Czteroosobowy apartament z dwoma sypialniami, salonem, kuchnią I dwoma łazienkami (jedna trochę klaustrofobiczna, za to w drugiej pralka). Dobre miejsce na zwiedzanie północy Sycylii. Miejsce atrakcyjne dla amatorów górskich wycieczek.

Może przydało by się kilka leżaków więcej.

Del Residence "Il Monte" non si può che parlare davvero davvero bene! Per chi ama la pace, la serenità, la tranquillità, il relax e il verde della natura è da consigliare e da vivere! Ottimo in tutto, nelle strutture davvero comodamente attrezzate, nell' organizzazione e nella gentilezza dello staff!! Contentissimi di tutto e dispiaciuti di averlo dovuto lasciare dopo pochi giorni!!!

Utsikten från området var fantastisk fin- Tar ca 15 min med bil ner till stranden. Mataffärer finns i Cefalu centrum och strax utanför (Conad). Köket hade bra med köksredskap, tallrikar m.m. Vår terass var jättefin med stort bord och stolar under tak- poolen är liten men väldigt mysig och tillräcklig för oss. Skulle inte rekomendera för barnfamiljer med väldig små barn. Inte alls svårt att hitta. Ägaren kom och mötte upp oss första kvällen och guidade upp oss för berget. Parkering fanns, innanför grindarna. Internet fungerade inte däruppe. Ägaren gav oss en karta och tipsade lite om olika sevärdheter i Cefalu- Stranden är jättefin och barnvänlig-

Det strök omkring en förvildad hankatt där som skvätte på buskar och staket. Det luktade inte så gott direkt. Sängen va lite obekväm och ska man ha A/C får man betala extra för det-. Rummet var däremot inte så varmt så vi klarade oss. Rummet luktade lite instängt. Trädgården känns bortglömd vilket är synd för det är väldigt fint om man skulle ta tag i det.

De locatie is erg mooi, mooi uitzicht. Het appartement heeft airco en is behoorlijk ruim.

De bedden waren erg hard. Het appartement rook muf en schimmelig. We verbleven er een week, in die week kregen we geen schone handdoeken en werd er niet schoongemaakt. Er waren ook geen schoonmaakspullen aanwezig om zelf schoon te maken. En dat voor deze prijs? Het zwembad is trouwens ook erg klein.

De accomodatie biedt een schitterend panoramisch uitzicht op Cefalu. Het appartement heeft een kleine woonkamer met aparte keuken en 2 slaapkamers. Op de bovenverdieping is een balkon en beneden een terras met afdak. Er is een wasmachine voorradig.

Het onderhoud van het appartement viel wat tegen. De badkamer is aan een opknapbeurt toe. De tuin om het comlex heen is mooi maar slecht onderhouden. Het zwembad is erg klein.
