1. apartment is HUGE 2. kids love loft concept (fight over who sleeps on upper floor) 3. great strong heater in winter 4. 5 mins easy walk fm main train station 5. walking distance to all major attractions 6. excellent breakfast - great egg dishes (zucchini omelette, cheese & ham omelette etc.), mini toasts, etc. 7. run by very friendly family (father & mother with 4 grown daughters & 3 son-in-laws)
that we had to leave Florence eventually...
The staff was wonderful and always helpful. The location was a comfortable walk to most everything we wanted to see.
The morning activity in the courtyard and adjacent rooms was quite loud.
The location. The friendliness of the staff. Its owners as a family.
The wifi system was awkward to connect and to maintain.
Friendly, well-informed and welcoming staff. Delicious breakfast, including Signora's tiramisu. Perfectly appointed kitchen. All restaurants recommended by Tiziano and Signore were great. And the hotel's history is admirable.
Superb hotel: close to station and major tourist attractions. Artistically renovated old building. Owners and staff charming and helpful. Very comfortable rooms and an incredible breakfast.
I found the family that run the apartments take you in as if you are one of their large family. They speak relatively good English and are sincerely interested in what you are wanting to get out of your trip. They follow up on everything you ask and offer more than just a place to stay. They are very passionate and knowledgeable about Florence and for me they were able to give me the new happening restaurants (not touristy), the new bars and tours. The room was exceptionally comfortable and had a large bathroom made for a great change considering the smaller average bathrooms in Italy. I had a loft apartment which was really lovely and the kitchen and dining area were more than what any average person and family would require. The breakfast downstairs was the largest choice both (western and italian) I had experienced throughout my trip and the cook would be flexible if I wanted something else or a good coffee rather than the machine and filtered coffee. Rosa and Carla were there every morning to ensure the food was of good quality and plentiful. The wifi was not stable in doors but out in the beautiful courtyard it worked very well. I can't say enough about this haven as I was travelling on my own but made to feel part of their family -hence was very sad to say goodbye.
Just stay here. It is absolutely lovely.
The room that we stayed in was an annex part of the hotel an had permanent resident living in an apt above us. At times it was noisy.
It felt like home away from home. The staff were amazing. Very attentive and were always there to help. Breakfast was good with lots of variety of food. The staff were very helpful in booking day tours. I couldn't recommend this place enough.
Italian style Breakfast Location Family run
helpful staff, location. Good restaurant next door.
If you are in a room overlooking the street there may be noise from street cleaners and others but there seems to be few such rooms.
Very pleasant and helpfull staff. Clean quiet room with plenty of space. Very convenient location for sight seeing and train station (500m). We had dinner each evening at a restaurant about 100m away on the same side of the road/lane which was also excellent with value for money prices.
The kitchen facillities did not make meal preparation easy hence eating out each night.
We had one of the apartments with a kitchen facility as well as table/chairs which was great. Hotel is family run and they are really helpful and friendly and all spoke good English. Breakfast was a wonderful selection of foods and hotel was able to cater for gluten free, vegetarian etc diets. Clean rooms, beds made and towels dried every day. All in all great service.
Beds were very hard but otherwise I can't praise hotel enough overall.
Location was very good. at walking distance, 3 minutes from main train station. Duomo, Ponte Vecchio are also at reasonable walking distance. Accomodation acceptable but not more than that. Breakfast reasonably good. Staff courteous and friendly. Wifi was free of charge despite the fact that site mentioned it at an additional charge.
only 1 bathroom for a family of 4 tends to get a little bit hectic at peek times...
Loved that it was close to Mercato Centrale and all the museums and the Duomo. Really loved the owners... A family owned and operated place where they go above and beyond to make sure their guests have a perfect visit. Breakfast is wonderful. The apartments feel spacious with a cute Loft bedroom.
Close to Santa Maria Novella railway station although the street isn't very appealing, good breakfast, useful advice about tourist attractions from the staff.
Very poor soundproofing; could hear everything from the next door neighbours who were really loud, day & night. The rooms are a bit outdated and there is poor ventilation in the bathroom; the air is stuffy.
Great staff lovely room and breakfast and pet friendly
Getting to the hotel by car and parking was very difficult
After perfect telephone directions in english, the owner and his wife very warmly welcomed us. Sincere people! We had lost our passports and therefore could not stay in the the hotel, however the owner called the police station, drove us all parents and 3 kids (one space short, so even risking a ticket!!!) in her car to the police station in an other part of town. She made it happen that the police agreed we could stay at her hotel, without her risking to close it, if she would have had a control (as stated in the Italian law). The next morning she gave our 3 kids a huge slice of home baked chocolate cake, apart from the already very large and nice buffet breakfast. Really we have travelled a lot, also in 5* hotels, but never ever seen this hospitality. Much recommended.
Excellent location, professional service excellence. We loved everything about this hotel. Our special thanks to the owner on personal attention. She has a lot in creativity about the service delivered to the guests.
Close to center Nice hosts Nice breakfast Clean and beauty.
The parking (at extra cost) was directly in front of the hotel ; it was difficult to find but we had received sufficient instructions in advance. The hotel is very near the center in nice area. Wifi (extra cost) worked fine. Very nice staff.
Excellent location and friendly staff
30 euros a night to park your car. 25 euros to use your rooms kitchen
We liked everything about this hotel. The room, location, breakfast and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Spacious room in a quite patio, very well located in the center of the city. The breakfast was nice and different every day. There is a parking which is convenient, but you have to be a very good driver to enter it.
Rooms are a bit pricey and you will pay for children over 3 years using existing beds.
Staff is really welcoming and overall service is beyond expected. Nice and we'll located hotel.
