Offering a quiet location and a flower garden with swimming pool, Residence Hotel La Giara offers self-catering accommodations with balconies or patios. Lipari port is just a 5 minute walk away. La Giara is centrally located in Lipari, which is the largest of the Aeolian Islands off the coast of Sicily. It is just 220 yards from the center of town and is very close to the beach. Rooms and apartments are air conditioned and feature a fully equipped kitchenette. A daily cleaning service, kitchenware, bed linens and towels are all included. The residence has a very nice garden. It's close to the city center and the ferry. We heard all night long dogs barking. If you are not used to this kind of noise, better sleep with you windows closed.

The location and breakfast is great! The staff is also nice but it's still a bit difficulty for us who do not know Italian. It is a kind reminder that you should take the correct ferry services (Siremar and Ustica) to Lipari. That will bring you to the corrent port which is also more near Hotel La Giara. It is still not easy to find the sign for this hotel. You may need some luck to find it.

The hotel is located on spacious grounds with a pool. The one-bedroom apartment was also spacious with 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette. It was clean, quiet and comfortable, great for a long stay. It was a 5-minute walk to the port for ferries and hydrofoils and a good location for seeing the island. We arrived late and left very early the next morning and the receptionist had our Italian breakfast delivered to our room in the evening. The receptionist didn't speak English but we all managed with the help of a staff member.

This hotel is a great place to stay when you want to spend some time in Lipari. Rooms are spacious, clean, equipped with a perfect small kitchen and a nice terrace. A swimmingpool is available which is good if you return from excursions or just to relax (it is not for sport swimming or diving however). Breakfast buffet is good and the location is convenient. Someone really takes good care of the garden with palm trees and exotic plants. All persons are friendly, but it helps to know a few words Italian. The hotel is located just a few steps away from the ferry harbour and the main shopping street (partly pedestrian area, lots of cafes, nice to take an aperitivo...). Not much street noise however. Lipari is an ideal starting point for excursions to Stromboli and Vesuvio etc.. Constant low noise of the aircondition and pool circulation (like in most hotels)

This hotel seems family owned and acts like one. The warm welcome, the helfpful hand but most of all, the unsollicited kindess made the difference. Of course we loved the pool, the calm, the big room with a nice view and the simple but nice and fresh breakfast. But we preferred the service: when mentioning that we would leave before 7am on our departure date, the staff surprised us with a breakfast tray brough to our room the night before and a gift book on the Eolian island. The room was a big studio but the shower was very small and the kitchen not perfectly clean.

The hotel is located in 3 minutes from the port. You can easily reach it from the embankment as there is a special gate for the guests of the hotel. The staff is very friendly. There is a nice garden and a swimming pool. Everything is clean. The room isvery spacy with everything you need (there is even a kitchen). the breakfast is good. I will recommend this place both for a short stay to visit just Lipori and for a longer stay to visit other irlands staying in this hotel a week or more. Only pillows ;) they are too big and tough but it is very subjective

Very modern Apartment with quality fixtures. Very clean and comfortable. Close to one port where the ferries arrive and within walking distance of the other where the boats to other islands depart. Very close to the old town center where there are many stores, restaurants and a wonderful museum. The apartment was a bit expensive for the fringe of the season. It was difficult to communicate with the personnel at the desk since they did not have any English, but they tried their best to respond.

The rooms were very clean and new. It was nice to have a kitchen in our apartment. The cleaning service was very good. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The gardens and a swimming pool area are well kept. There are some acoustic problems in the building, which might be a problem for light sleepers.

We had a fantastic stay with Residence Hotel La Giara, great location on Lipari just a few minutes walk from town, quiet, easy access to beach and ferry. The kitchenette in the room was a highlight allowing us to cook our own meals - using fresh Sicilian produce of course!

Die "Zimmer" geräumig und großzügig gestaltet. Relativ geschmackvolle Einrichtung. Zimmer mit Küchenzeile, ein Kühlschrank ist dabei sehr angenehm (Kalte Getränke!). Sehr netter Angestellter (aus Fernost), der das Frühstück servierte. Hotel sehr laut, sowohl durch diverse Hunde, die fast die ganze Nacht über bellen, wie auch durch den Verkehr schon frühmorgens und bis spät in die Nacht reichend. Bei unserer Ankunft um ca. 14:30 war die Rezeption geschlossen, keine Reaktion auf das Läuten der Glocke. Nach tel. Anruf der Hotelnummer erschien eine Putzkraft, die nur Italienisch sprach, des Englischen nicht mächtig war. Erst auf vehementes intervenieren kam dann die Besitzerin(?) mit dem Auto. Allerdings war das Personal anschließend sehr zuvorkommend.

Presenza e assistenza del personale, sempre cordiale e attento alle richieste.Vicinanza al porto degli aliscafo per Milazzo e al centro, molto carino.Camera monolocale molto grande, a piano terra con spazioso patio coperto e attrezzato ad uso personale, posizionata verso il retro e quindi con un poco più di privacy rispetto a quelle sul davanti. Aria condizionata gestibile individualmente.Angolo cottura piccolo ma accessoriato di tutto. Pace e tranquillità immerso nel verde. Bella piscina. Il porto di Marina corta, quello da dove partono le escursioni, dista circa 15 minuti a piedi dal residence, ma non è un problema, in quanto si percorre il centro e le pittoresche stradine della cittadine, meravigliose e piene di negozietti!!! L'ambiente è poco insonorizzato e, specie quando fa caldo ed è tutto aperto, sembra di essere in una grande famiglia con tanti vicini.Forse si potrebbe aggiungere una piccola dotazione in cucina per chi sta pochi giorni e arriva in aereo (sale, spugna per i piatti,detersivo piatti)

Accueil très sympa et chaleureux. L’hôtel est bien situé à 2 pas de l'arrivée des ferries. Joli jardin bien entretenu, belle piscine, grande chambre avec terrasse. Ce commentaire n'est pas du fait de l'hôtel mais est à signaler: nos nuits ont été "pourries" par les aboiements incessants de chiens du voisinage (qui sont par ailleurs très calmes dans la journée).

Hotel très bien situé : Tout près du port des aliscafi (pratique pour des excursions à la journée dans les différentes îles) et du principal loueur de scooters. Chambre triple parfaite. Il s'agissait en fait d'un appartement en rez de chaussé avec 1 salon, 1 chambre, 2 salles de bain, une cuisine, et une terrasse. Bon petit déjeuner (compris). Très beau jardin. Un seul regret : jolie petite piscine ... mais non chauffée.

Questo residence merita un 10 pieno per I seguenti motivi: la titolare è una persona gentilissima che dà ottimi consigli su Lipari e dintorni, la posizione è ottima, proprio di fronte all'arrivo aliscafi, il residence è nuovo e ben tenuto, c'è molto verde, c'è Internet incluso, c'è la piscina.. Favoloso, tornerò sicuramente l'anno prossimo.

L'emplacement, le jardin, la piscine, la proximité du port et du centre ville l'équipement de chaque chambre qui permet de préparer éventuellement ses repas. Seul point négatif, le petit déjeuner un peu "chiche"
