The Locanda Del Fante is a small and pleasant hotel in a nice residential area. The nearby Castro Pretorio metro station (line B) provides quick access to the historic center.

Wonderful place. Clean and useful (big TV, microwave, fragile, private bathroom). There are lot of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bus stops near to the hotel. The breakfast was excellent in the nearlest bar – you have big choice. There was a good smoking place. The staff didn’t know very well English but they are friendly and helpful. Everything was OK.
If you have to travel early like us, it is far from the Termini and historical center.
+close to Tiburtina and metro stations + tasty breakfast (coffee and wide range of croissants) + close to supermarket
- triple room to small for three persons - thin walls, we can hear everything
Very clean and friendly staff.
This was our second stay at the B&B and it was as enjoyable as before. The location is very convenient, just about 5 minutes walk from the metro station Bologna. Bus 62 (the bus stop is next to the metro station) brings you to all the important places in Rome: Repubblica (Termini and Via Nazionale), Barberini (Trevi Fountain), Piazza Venezia (Forum Romanum), Largo di Torre Argentina (Pantheon, Piazza Navona and Campo dei Fiori), and San Pietro (Vatican).
The Wi-Fi connection was very unreliable during our stay. The breakfast voucher in the bar around the corner is only valid for normal coffee plus a sweet pastry. As I wanted decaffeinated coffee, I had to pay 20 cents extra every morning. There is a fridge and a microwave in the room, but no water kettle. For making tea or coffee you need to place a cup of cold water into the microwave and set it on 3 minutes. Not ideal but it works.
Very friendly and helpful staff, the hotel is situated 10 minutes walk from the metro station Bologna. The railway station Triburtina only 1 metro station (direct connection to the airport). Close to the hotel there is also a supermarket (Tuordi) when you can buy cheap. The breakfast is served in a bar near the hotel - you can choose any cake as well as cappucino or mineral water. Good value for your money.
Walls are thin therefore a bit noisy.
excellent wireless connection great location
We have arrived very late at night but stuff came in 10 minutes as it was written on the door. Room was very clean and looked like new. Neighborhood was nice and safe. We used underground for 6 euro/24h so it was very easy to reach at any time.
Our neighbors had a small child and because of thin walls we had a short sleep :) Breakfast was small 1 cappuccino and 1 cruasan.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at La Porta B&B. It is only a short walk away from Bologna metro station, and three stops from Termini. My room was pleasant, and there was even a fridge and a microwave in the room. Breakfast was provided at the bar around the corner; a coffee/cappuccino and a sweet pastry. The area felt safe, and I had no worries coming home in the dark. The free Wifi worked perfectly whenever I needed it, and my room was nice and quiet. I've already booked a room at La Porta for my next trip to Rome.
Staff was very friendly and inspired trust. They even stored our luggage for us when we went for 5 days to Florence and Venice. Their English was very limited as was our Italian but we all managed in the end. The room was very clean and beds comfortable.
The rooms were very sparse. There were bath towels but no shower soap or shampoo. Only liquid soap. The kitchenette had no soap or dish towels even though they asked that you wash dishes that were used.
