Residence Hotel La Vetreria

As there were not many guests we had an apartment on the 3rd floor overlooking the city and Mount Etna. Small kitchenette available.

The bathroom was rather aged for a 4 star hotel and the room pretty sober. At your rate the hotel was ok.

This is a very impressive Hotel, but what stands out is the service provided by the staff which in my experience in uniquely generous and professional. Absolutely nothing is a bother to them. They go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your time there, including ensuring that if you get a taxi, you get one that won't overcharge. They will also help you to organise tours and trips with reputable firms. The ambience of the hotel is fabulous, an old building which has been lovingly restored. There are conference rooms and lounges, all available to gets, with magnificent ceilings and floors, but what will bring you back to this hotel is the incredible attention of the staff.

There was nothing about the hotel I did not like. However, when you arrive, there is a building on the street opposite the hotel which is falling down, not the responsibility of the hotel. It could give the impression that you are in an "unsafe" part of the city. Nothing could be further from the truth. I enjoyed Catania late at night and never encountered any difficulty whatsoever. In contrast to at, there was a magnificent view of Mount Etna from my very spacious balcony and the beautiful Castello Ursine was literally down the street.

Staff was excellent, friendly and accommodating; the room was large with a comfortable plan.

the peaceful atmosphere, the excellent breakfast, the beautiful antique textiles and antique & modern artwork discretely used in the decor, books & maps available for use, good restaurants 3 minutes walk away. the kitchen, dining room and sitting room facilities in the centre of each set of 4 bedrooms. this hotel both homely quietly stylish.

Nada es una residencia tipo alberguepara mochileros, no se como le pueden llamar hotel

Me ha parecido una tomadura de pelo autentica que este albergue aparezca en la pagina de Booking como categoría 4 estrellas. Es sencillamente inaceptable, es una residencia de Colegio. Llamarlo Habitación Suite Junior (4 personas) me parece realmente una tomadura de pelo. Nos pusimos en contacto con el teléfono 24 horas y fue aún una decepción mayor dada la inoperancia y falta de competencia para buscarnos una solución de la recepcionista del teléfono, con el consiguiente gasto de tiempo y dinero ocasionado. Me gustarían me contestasen para ver como pueden compensar este lamentable incidente. Espero tramiten nuestra queja y nos den una respuesta oportuna.

Las vistas al Etna y a la ciudad y sus cúpulas eran maravillosas. El desayuno era muy completo.

Realmente es una residencia acondicionada como hotel. Los muebles están algo anticuados. Por el precio y por la categoría de la habitación se esperaba más.

El hotel es completamente diferente a cualquier otro, la decoración es muy peculiar y nada standard, el personal amabilísimo, el desayuno es bueno, y está a 5 minutos de la catedral. Pero lo mejor son las increíbles vistas del Etna desde la terraza de la habitación. Algo espectacular.

Typisches verwinkeltes Altstadtgebaeude mit vielen liebevollen ueberraschenden Details. Sehr freundliches hilfsbereites Personal. Gutes Fruehstueck, was in Italien nicht selbstverstaendlich ist.

Fuer Autofahrer nicht zu empfehlen.

Me parece un hotel absolutamente maravilloso: las vistas son espectaculares, el ambiente es cálido, acogedor. La decoración es única (me gusta que es un hotel "desglobalizado", palabra que me he inventado yo. Se ve una mano invisible, femenina, que ha puesto mucho cariño y sensibilidad en todos los detalles. La cama comodísima. . El desayuno estupendo. Me sentí de maravilla, pienso volver a ese hotel siempre que vaya a CAtania. El personal extremadamente simpático y dispuesto a ayudar.

Solo la ducha no me gustó, es demasiado pequeña e incómoda.
