Located near the train station, yet no noise from the trains. Breakfast was not extensive, but very adequate & good. Rooms were quiet & spacious with large balcony. Good restaurant on site. Staff too busy to keep the breakfast buffet filled up; coffee machine ran out of a couple types of coffee. |

Location and the breakfast in the morning. The roof was very noisy on the last night I was there on 10/18 from the wind.It was very windy that night and I couldn't sleep. The water heater didn't have enough hot water. |

Enough space. Heating system was not working. I complained a hotel staff, and he said "everybody are freezing in this season". It's not acceptable comment for the guest. Not enough hot water, tank is too small. The train comes only once an hour, so we always had to wait more than 30 minutes! |

Staff were very friendly, room large, kitchen was great, loved having a balcony, continental breakfast was great, swimming pool was an added bonus and would be great in the summer. Rate was very reasonable. Some reviews were full of complaints which didn't reflect our experience. It was very handy to a rail station which connected with the metro. However it is quite far from airports and as flight was late had trouble getting to the Hotel late at night. There were other options we could have taken and it would have been helpful to know this in advance. |

Firstly, anybody expecting The Ritz can look away now, that is not what this Hotel is about. However,if you want something clean and comfortable, friendly staff and reasonably easy access to the city centre without the £150 a night price then read on.The hotel is situated about 2 miles from Rome city centre but has a train station next door.To get to the city, you get on the train, getting off at the 2nd stop (Valle Aurelia), drop down into the tube network - 1 stop and your at the Vatican, the 5th stop and your at the Spanish Steps. The trains from the Hotel station run every 15 minutes, tubes every minute. From Hotel to city -25mins!! And Fabrizio on the front desk makes the stay worthwhile - just dont tell him you support Roma fc!! Everything was just fine for a budget, out of city hotel. |

Subway is near, our room was big Rooms (I saw two of them) were in very bad state, so bad that I wanted to take some pictures to show friends how bad it was. Staff was polite, but do not expect great services (I wanted to order Pizza and they told me to go to the near restaurant to pick one... That's unbelievable for a 4-stars hotel). The near restaurant is not cheap at all: 7€ for take away pizza margherita, 9€ for a t/a Bufala. First day our room wasn't clean, didn't get cleaned on second day.. Finally on third day someone did some cleaning! |

Excellent location just few steps from Balduina railway station. Big apartment. Too small breakfast room, all the time crowded. Bathroom and kitchen need to be renovated. That's why it shuldn't be rated as 4*. |

We booked a normal room and end up having a whole apartment with a bedroom, kitchen, and sitting room. Although it was really nice we did not use it as we were out the whole day sight seeing. There is a very good Italian restaurant next to the hotel - which is resonably priced. The hotel was very close to a train station and it took about 15min on the train/metro to reach city centre but you sometimes needed to wait about 15 min - 30 min (late night) for the train to arrive. The staff is very unfriendly - our toilet was blocked and they did not even offer another room - just said they would fix it in the morning. The swimming pool is a miss representation as it is being used as a training pool/water aerobics facility by the local community. The breakfast was nothing to write home about - and the room they use is very stuffy. This hotel need renovations - it has the look of a truely brilliant hotel in the '80's |

Spacious, clean and comfortable room #513 including full equipped kitchen, nice family room and big balcony with entrance from the kitchen, bedroom and family room. Breakfast is ok. Kitchen equipment is old but full functional. Big cellular antenna on the top of building. We stayed at the hotel 6 nights. Sheets was changed after 4 nights only, when we asked to do it! Personal is not friendly too much. Busy road start to be noisy from 6 am. Small and old tv in bed room only. Last day we leave hotel early before breakfast. Day before we ask about the breakfast and got the promise that breakfast room will be open at 7 am, so we do not take nothing for breakfast. When we ask last evening to confirm the early breakfast, we got the answer that breakfast room will be open as usual 7.30, so we left without breakfast. Is not big deal, but not pleasant. |

It was clean and good value for money, staff friendly and spoke english, ordered taxis and generaly helped in anything they were asked. The pool was laned and other patrons did'nt seem to eager to share a lane even though all 8 of us shared the one lane, felt as if we were in the way.it is a bit out from main centre, and cost us a lot of taxis. Had to change trains, metro to get to termini. |

Good choice if you have a car. Breakfast should be improved. No choice, clearly far from a 4 star hotel. |

Very big room including kitchen with plates and dishes. Relativelly good situation not far from city centre and with a good access by train (20 meters from station). Breakfast should be improved: very poor choice. Safe was always closed and finally there was no possibility to use it (request to the reception desk was without answer). |

Generally I did like every thing about the hotel its self - the room (there was fully equipped kitchen),the beds – very comfortable, the sheet and the towels smelt nice. Especially liked the big balcony. The hotel stuff speek English. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. There are a train and a bus stops right next to the hotel. It is more convinient to stay in a hotel which has direct access to a metro station – in Rome the train and a bus transport are not very good organized- I had difficulties with them although one ticket covers traveling with bus, metro and train. I would be more satisfied if in the breakfast was included more salty eatables - there were mostly sweet things. Our balcony was not clean all the time. There was not toothpaste in the bathroom. |

All things OK. There was a kitchen in the room and it safe a lot of money. There were sometimes problems with trains - you have to take 2 stops to the nearest metro. But, you can use the bus number 319 (10 min from the hotel on foot). There is some wish to the hotel's room service: we had been 1 week in the hotel and got only one set of soap (in the first day). We had been forced to buy a soap by ourselves in the supermarket. |

Excellent huge room (double on the 3rd floor) with a kitchenette. Great location - 1 min. from the regional train station (trains running every 15 min. during the day). Good breakfast (in Italian terms). There is a defginite problem with the water piping in the hotel - we heard the water flowing through the pipes that were apparently apssing through the inner wall of our room. Very unpleasant and loud (also during the night). |

location beside train, excellent pool, pleasant reception staff. Breakfast was given outside of time stated when we were late to restaurant. very nice breakfast manager. great space in suite. would use this hotel again. 3 stops on train from Vatican. poor directions on site. maid did not replace toilet rolls every day or shampoo in room when used. very early check out no flexibility there and nowhere to hold bags which were stored in reception area. no sign to show where bar or restaurant were. |

The Waldorf is located in a residential area, 100 metres from the Cornelia metro station (Line A). In a 10-minute journey you can reach the Vatican and the historic centre. |
Grand Hotel Palazzo Carpegna is set in a residential area 3 km from the Vatican City. A nearby metro station provides quick connection to Rome city centre. |
Be first in the queue for the Vatican Museum at Mocenigo Suites, located just 50m away. Stylish and modern, they are a real home from home in Rome centre. |
Les Chambres D’Or brings you great service in a characteristic boutique hotel, located in an elegant district only 5 minutes’ walk from the Vatican. |
